The best we can offer is pick up on March 13th, withna straight run to CA for drop off. You are looking at around 4000 for us to complete this for you. (3/1/2006)
Response:
This might work if you can pick-up/load in the dark on the evening of the 13th between 7-9pm. Can you tell me if the $4000 would include everything I've requested in terms of loading and unloading? What size truck do you have? And are you insured or would I need to insure the move? Any additional costs on the back-end or is the $4000 all-inclusive and firm? (3/1/2006)

Question:
first of all i work alone, the truck in the profile is mine and i sleep in it when its loaded with peoples stuff for me to travel across the country is 2200 thats all feul and expenses and my return trip back because do to people not paying the right prices to do these type of jobs im hanging it up i have two kids and a wife for me to leave for about 10 days and be away from them its getting old i chose to be home so if you cant pay my price then good luck looking for someone who can.Regards Ron (3/2/2006)
Response:
Hi Ron. I am willing to pay a fair price, I'm just not sure what a fair price is because this is my first move (that's why I'm using uShip to compare prices). You sound a bit jaded with the moving business, but if you are truly interested in doing this for me then I have a few questions for you: - Do you think all the items I have listed will fit in your 6x12 trailer? It's hard to tell in picture how tall the trailer is. - You said you work alone but I definitely need two men for loading and unloading. Do you have anyone available to load/drive/unload with you, or could you arrange for an additional man to help load in PA and unload in CA? - Do you provide insurance or would I need to insure the move? - Can you do this on my preferred dates (pick-up Sunday March 5, delivery Saturday March 11?) - Would your $2200 price be all inclusive or are there any additional costs? Sorry to hear about your frustrations, but I'm sure we can make this a pleasant experience with good communic (3/2/2006)
Question:
yes it all can fit but as of yesterday i have a trailer and tractor to transport to arizona and i wont be back until after the 5th mor like the 7th (3/2/2006)
Response:
An evening pick-up on the 7th or 8th (after 7pm) would be OK ... if you aren't opposed to doing back-to-back cross-county jobs, please answer the rest of my questions in the previous post and let's keep talking. (3/2/2006)
Question:
no i dont have people on either end to help and i do insure up to 25000 at no extra charge the 2200 is all you need to pay and the trailer is just under 6' inside (3/2/2006)
Question:
i have 2 furniture dollies and a hand truck for moving is all this stuff on the first floor (3/2/2006)
Response:
Okay, I could probably arrange for another person to help on each end if needed ... what pick-up date/time could you commit to? And if I accept your bid, would you be able to fax me the insurance information? (3/2/2006)
Question:
i can show in person but i dont give to anyone and at this point it depends on when i get back from arizona (3/2/2006)
Response:
Alright this is all sounding good (but only if you're absolutely sure you want to do this and are sure you won't cancel). A few last questions before you submit your official bid: - Just to confirm, you will help with load/unload and not just provide the dollies/hand-truck? - You have plenty of furniture pads and maybe cellophone wrap to protect un-boxed furniture items? - What are your payment terms? I can do PayPal, Credit Card, or Personal Check upon delivery. Or I'll consider any other payment suggestions you have. -- Karen (3/2/2006)
Question:
Greetings Karen, Thanks for the bid request !!! We apologize for not responding sooner.....After conversing with my counterparts, we decided to offer our services. For the items listed we could negotiate a bid of $3125 which would be direct service to CA. Our team is available to pick up your shipment now if it's available. Our West coast transfer will be leaving March 6th which will accomodate your schedule if you are ready. Please respond asap and I will add you to our roster if our bid is accepted........Suzie @ MTG TRANSIT (3/2/2006)
Response:
Hi Suzie. Thanks for responding. The earliest my stuff would be ready to load is Sunday 3/5 in the afternoon, or Monday 3/6 after 7pm would also work. The earliest I can accept delivery at the apartment in CA is Saturday 3/11 anytime after 10am. If you can do this on these exact dates then I'm very interested in possibly hiring your company. But first I have some questions: - Just to confirm, you can provide two guys, furniture pads and equipment for loading and unloading? I don't have any help of my own on either end (this is a divorce-related move unfortunately) - What size truck would you be using, or will my stuff be on a larger trailer along with others' cargo? - What payment methods do you accept and what are your payment terms? I prefer credit card or Paypal ... would like to discuss timing of payment(s). - I have received some much lower tentative bids for a slighty lower level of service ... if you're willing to negotiate, I'll start at $2500. How much can you bring your (3/2/2006)
Question:
Hello, I will make a bid if you are interested. I am leaving for Los Angeles from Bedford, PA but have a full load for this trip. Normally, I do not do household moves. If you would like, I will be going to CA around the 15th of March but will be taking an empty boat trailer out. There would be plenty of room for your items but the will would need to be tarped and for you to get someone to load and unload. I would pick up anytime, day or night, to suit your needs and do it for 1500.00. All of the items you listed could easily be put on my trailer. I moved myself from San Diego to PA with 4 times the amount of stuff you have. The blue plastic tarps are cheap and you can save yourself a bundle. Please contact me through uship and if interested, I will place a bid. Thanks 2buzzcat. Also room for a rider or two if necessary. (3/2/2006)
Response:
Sorry but at this point a pick-up on the 15th would be too late. I am getting interest from companies that can meet my exact timing requests. But thanks for your interest! (3/2/2006)
