Question: Hello - would the shipper (or originating location) be willing to place & secure item to suitable pallet / skid so as to be acceptable for common carrier service? ... THX (5/6/2008)
Response: Hello- the current plan is for the originator to put the item on a pallet and move it from his car garage to a warehouse facility that has a loading dock. I don't know about securing it to the pallet or even how that would be done in this case. (5/6/2008)
Response: understand .. as long as it is on pallet or skid and is stable enough not to flop over ... your prompt reply is appreciated ... FYI - as per uShip rules, bid rated all inclusive per posting info: “Business to Residential” with liftgate delivery service ... Shipper (consignor) to load palletized item to back of truck & Consignee to receive / unload same from liftgate ... Do you have any questions or require rate and/or service clarification?? ... Response: OK, I have spoken with Scott Tucker who agrees to load it from his business warehouse in Tulsa. He just asks that he be given as much notice as possible so that he can move it from his residence to the warehouse prior to the truck's arrival (and obviously I will need the same notice on the receiving end). Based on that I am going to approve your bid at this time. (5/12/2008)
