Questions for this shipment:

Question: can you post a pic of this? need to know how high and if it has AC etc.. alot of times I have to remove alot of things so it doesnt hit over size.. but I run a 50 ft trailer I can get it on.. just want to know what I would be walking into (7/22/2006)
Response: Have not heard back from you on this. Any chance of putting it on your trailer to bring down to TX??? (8/11/2006)
Question: What was the problem that made you leave it there? (engine, trans, rear end) (7/22/2006)
Response: Engine overheated. Was going to take a while to fix. Was towing two horses and it was 17 degrees. I needed to get to my next job. That was first part of Dec 05. Had to repair leak between water pump and block. Tranny works fine. Had a new engine put in fall 05. Need to get it to my mechanic in TX or ? sell it. (7/22/2006)
Question: You are going to get some some crazy bids on towing this unit 1750 miles from up there. I am a VERY mechanically inclined person and have worked on numerous motorhomes similiar to this. The cheapest way to get this one home is to get someone to drive it to you who is able to handle any problems along the way. Plus, you know that it is ready to go once it arrives. If this arrangement would work for you, let me know. Thanks. Darrell TheTransportGuy (7/22/2006)
Response: Yes that would work. I was driving back to TX from WA state where it had a major repair of the heads and head gasket in Ellensburg, WA, near where I was working. Got 600 miles down the road and it overheated going thru the last pass west of Bozeman. It was 17 degrees. I needed to get to my next job. I was towing 2 horses in my stock trailer. Had to get out of the cold FAST. I rented a UHaul and towed horses back with it. My stuff is all moved out of it. The engine was replaced in Fall of 05 so it was shocking to have the overheating problem again. It is supposed to be repaired again. The guy there said it was leaking from the water pump into the block gasket. Cost $110 to repair. They won't make any estimate about how far it will go. Thought I would see if someone could tow/drive it back to TX. They said it is running. I am not sure what else to do. My mechanic in TX was thinking about getting it but time is a factor. Wanted it towed to him. (7/22/2006)
Question: I'm waiting on another job to confirm that takes me up there. If it confirms, I could do this job for you for $2200. It's gonna burn half of that in fuel just to get it home. That price would include some basic plans to take care of the RV. I'd buy a mechanical temp gauge and install it just to be sure of the temp. If it had major problems along the way, I can handle it, we would just have to take it as it goes. I would drive my truck up there and bring my dolly with me. When I got to the RV, I would just put my truck on the dolly behind the bus. That way I have a good vehicle in case of a breakdown. By the way, is it a chevy or a ford? Thanks and have a great day. Darrell TheTransportGuy (7/23/2006)
Response: It is Ford 460 big block. (7/23/2006)
Question: I will be in Bozeman on Aug 22 or 23. I would like to check this out to see if it is driveable or what exactly it would take to get it home to you. I will bid if this sound ok to you (7/26/2006)
Response: I am more than willing to take you up on this offer. I missed the deadline due to work. Are you still interested??? (8/8/2006)
Question: It looks like my Montana trip is coming together. If we are on, then I've only got one other person to confirm with. Are we good on your end? Thanks. Darrell TheTransportGuy (7/28/2006)
Response: Yes. Keep me informed. I probably will need to send you the TX State registration as it was due in Apr. It has been updated but still needs to be stuck on the dang windshield. My mechanic in TX has it right now. Right now I am working in Hawaii. I will be back in TX the end of Aug. My cell phone works here just fine. Talk to you later. (7/28/2006)
Question: hello, we can do your motorhome shipment for you the middle (2nd week) of aug. we would also drive it to texas and will take care of any repairs needed, price would be $2400.00. I am a ASE certified auto tech. will this will work for you? thanks "shipped4less" (7/29/2006)
Response: I have missed the expiration date on this. Are you still interested?? (8/8/2006)
Question: the 460 is not a problem to work on, we take payment by credit card, money order or cash, would you like us to place the bid? (7/30/2006)
Response: Sorry but I am behind the curve ball here and behind due to the time difference and my work schedule here in Honolulu. As you seem more able to actually work on a problem if one occurs I would prefer to give you the bid. I do not know everything about it but the repair place said it drives but it has been sitting for past few months. That should not make that much difference. Getting this problem fixed has not been easy. It had a rebuilt big block 460 in fall of 04. I drove it to CA and back to TX. Then to WA and had repairs done in WA and then it leaked at the water pump access to block. Bozeman repair said they fixed that but not sure how far it will drive. There is only one smaller pass to get over to get to CO and then TX. What do you think???? I can pay you thru credit card or paypal, wiring money is a bit expensive but could also be done. I will be back in TX 30 Aug. (8/11/2006)
Question: i can drive this for $1400 including fuel 900 at pick-up 500 at delivery you can use credit card to Com-Check advance and final payment (8/4/2006)
Response: I am not familiar with Com Check but guess I could figure it out. Are you familiar with motorhomes? (8/4/2006)
Question: I forgot to mention I have a CDL (commercial driving licence) and 32 years over the road experance ( quoted you $1400) (8/4/2006)
Question: Hello again, Yes I am familiar with motor homes, also I have 32 years as an over-the-road truck driver, before i move any vehicle, I check the oil water, brakes, hoses, belts, lights, ect. I'm waiting for Dot update for house hold goods, for our tractor & trailer. If you would like for me to do this i would need to do it, and be done by next weekend(8/13/06) as for com- check I can walk you tru it, or you can money-gram it to me. thank you (8/5/2006)
Response: Are you willing to make the bid on this? (8/8/2006)

Question: I'M willng to drive the moterhome, but i need to know by wendsday. I need $1,800 , $900 cash or com-check at pick-up $900, at delivery. Will need signed contract releaseing me from any finacial responceablity in case of any break down, including towing, storge or fines. (8/8/2006)
Response: I have full insurance on it which should include towing but I can find out for sure by calling my insurance company. I would not expect you to pay for repairs if needed. Do you have experience with the Ford 460 in a motor home? (8/9/2006)
Question: hello again. 1. have I driven anything with a"460" in it -no 2. I have over 30 yrs Truck driving exp. with detroit, cummings, cat and Mack engines. 3. If this can't be set up today I can't do it,sorry and thanks for your time (8/9/2006)
