Questions for this shipment:

Question: If you can wait till about end of march - I will move all your items in my 6x 12 enclosed trailer for 500 ernjun (3/2/2008)
Response: Thanks but your bid is actually the highest I've received. (3/4/2008)
Response: I see you do not have too many things. If you are real flexible and can go into april, I will do it for $250. ernjun (3/4/2008)
Response: Though the price is tempting, I'm supposed to be cleared out of my mom's apartment by March 30. If others fall through, I might take you up on it. (3/4/2008)
Question: Hi there, I have an empty van returning from DC up to Masschsuetts tomorrow. I have only a pretty narrow window to do your job, but could be aggressive on price if you were able to accomodate me. I would be leaving DC area between 6 & 9pm tomorrow with a delivery to Palmer at some stage on Wednesday. Could these timings potentially work? If so, I'll plan to submit a bid after hearing back from you. Thanks Alastair (3/3/2008)
Response: Sorry, I live in New England. I'd have to be in VA to prepare the items for moving from my mom's assisted living facility. Its possible I or my son can do another date later in March, but not tomorrow. (3/3/2008)
Question: I will be returning from a trip with my box truck, I should be in your area around March 18th. I can match your target price if this is a a possible date for you. I am based out of MA so would be heading that way after being in VA. I will be able to firm up a date once the trip is completely planned out, thank you Kevin. (3/4/2008)
Response: I didn't post a target price, so what is your bid? Not sure the 18th will work, but depending on your bid, might try to make it happen. (3/4/2008)
Question: good morning... i'd like to offer our services. we use only fully enclosed trailers to ensure your items will have enough room to fit safely. theres nothing worse then watching your items get stuffed into a space that is too small. we need no help on either end because we are professionals with the proper equipment and manpower. we would pick up one day and deliver the next. our price would be 400 dollars. if you want to provide the loading and unloading help the price would be 350. thanks (3/4/2008)
Response: One TV (the larger one) is in Fairfax Station VA. Is there any problem picking that up? I can assist with loading the items in Sterling and unloading in Palmer, but full assistance would be needed for the TV in Fairfax Station, as my brother is not able to lift things. Target date would be during the day on March 15. Does that work for you? (3/4/2008)
Response: saturday march 15th will be a good day for pick up. sunday the 16th will more then likely be delivery date. i live in south jersey so i'll go home after i pick up the items. i'll place my bid . thanks (3/4/2008)
Response: Hello, I've just had a change in the shipment that will delete the electric bed. Tried to edit my listing, but there's a computer glitch. So there are: 1 wooden screen, 1 flat screen TV (27"), 2-3 chairs, possibly a mirror, and 10 boxes (approx) in Sterling + the larger TV in Fairfax Station. When you place your bid, please adjust accordingly Thanks (3/4/2008)
Question: i forgot to ask. are both locations on the ground floor? no steps or anything crazy? is it easy to get trailer close to p/up and delivery? thanks (3/4/2008)
Response: Sterling is second floor but has elevator (assisted living facility). Fairfax Station is private home and the TV is on first floor with driveway for trailer. The Palmer address (my son's house) has a steep driveway but we've moved much more in there in previous moves that worked ok. Not sure is the large TV is going to the basement (1st floor) or up the stairs to the living room. (3/4/2008)
Response: i am back and ready to place my bid. i am going to delete the power bed and add in the second stop. even though the bed is gone the mileage up and back really stays the same. i am bringing help so you don't need it on either end. my bid will be 350. this is the amount that i will get. ready to accept? thanks (3/4/2008)
Response: Go ahead and submit the bid. Assume details of the process are in the bid. Usually I pay a portion on pickup and a portion on delivery. I'm going to work now so can't respond further til tonite (3/4/2008)
Response: sounds fair (3/4/2008)
Response: ok (3/4/2008)
Question: Do you think all of this could fit into an extended cargo van? What is an electric bed? Similar to hospital beds? (3/4/2008)
Response: Probably would fit. Electric bed is now out of the lineup. The larger TV is at a separate location in Fairfax Station VA. No help is available for loading that TV, though all the other things I can help with in Sterling. Please bid soon if you're interested. (3/4/2008)
Response: Can you give me until Wednesday night? I am trying to coordinate 3 stops at once, plus family (3/4/2008)
Response: I can finalize Wed but need to know what your bid is tonite (3/4/2008)
Question: is there a problem i was waiting for you to accept? (3/4/2008)
Response: See my previous response. I had to go to work and was only available this evening. Please respond with the real price...is it $350 or $393? You've indicated $350 but the bid reads both $393 and $394. (3/4/2008)
Question: i give one price the first time and its usually very fair for the services we provide. call me old fashioned but i do not believe in making multiple bids going lower and lower and lower. i just dont think it fair to my customers. heck i would want the same curtosy if i were in your shoes. hay but maybe thats just me. guess i am old fashioned?? remember we offer a lot of extras and there is more to it then just price sometimes. thanks (3/4/2008)
Response: What extras? Do you offer wrapping/padding for the TVs and screen? (3/4/2008)
Response: we always blanket wrap. i mean things like plenty of room in my trailer w/ a ramp door for easy loading and unloading. help on each end so you do not need to. stuff like that (3/4/2008)
Response: OK (3/4/2008)
Question: hello can this be done on monday the 10th? if so then we can do the move for 300.gtorn (3/4/2008)
Response: No, Sorry. I live in New England and have to be in VA for orchestrating the move (3/4/2008)
Question: i am just curious if we have a deal?? i would like to start bidding on other items going to and from the travel route. i wish i could do better on the price but i just can not especially with the cost of fuel and insurance. i am confident that my service are superior. in fact this happens to us a lot. we just grin and bear it and move on. i am not sure if you have had a chance to browse the site. you can check on my integrity by looking at a listing for a 1940's bed going from west chester pa to metuchen nj or maybe by checking out some lcd/plazma tvs from dayton nj to newfield nj. you will notice that no matter how many bids come in i bid once and stick with it. hope to hear from you. thanks (3/4/2008)
Response: I'm happy to close this up, but I need to know what your price is as there are 3 prices listed in your bid. Please clarify. (3/4/2008)
Response: my bid is 350. that is all i will get. thats all you will be responsible to pay me when i complete your job. you will be asked to place a refundable deposit to u ship upon acceptance. thats is not my money. i can not say much more or u ship will flag me for a violation. thanks (3/4/2008)
Response: Ok then please correct or re-submit your bid so that it reads 350 as that is the amount that is binding. Right now it reads 394 (3/4/2008)
Response: i have this for pick up next saturday but i can do it this saturday if that is better. i'll be better able to explain all your questions if you accept. thanks (3/4/2008)
Response: I can only do it March 15 as I live in New England and won't be there this weekend (3/4/2008)
Question: WAIT!!! The item #4 TV wont fit... Assuming it is a projection TV, the 48" is about 4 inches too tall. Skip us... thanks for the consideration though. (3/4/2008)
Response: That was an approximate measurement as I've never seen the TV. If your bid is in my ballpark and we can work out the two locations for pick up (Sterling and Fairfax Station) then I'll double check measurements. However I'm close to accepting another bid so please let me know if you can't submit one tonite.thanks (3/4/2008)
Response: I wouldn't want to mess up an opportunity for you. If it doesnt fit in to the van, then what? You'll wind up paying someone just to run that. Though the price would be $300, the $25 difference isn't worth the potential of it not fitting. Close the deal with the other carrier, and maybe we'll hook up on something down the line. I had a similar delivery go wrong because the item wasnt quoted correctly. We fixed the problem because it was local and we have an array of vehicles, but it is frustrating for both parties. Not much I could do being 320 miles from the warehouse if it didnt fit. Thanks again and good luck- Bruce C&S Freight. (3/4/2008)
Response: Thanks (3/4/2008)
Question: sir, i have worked way too hard trying to get your job today. i tried to show you many things and yet it still seems like its coming down to money. its not apples to apples but it's you in the end that has the final say. i am tired and have a lot to do on wednesday. only going to hang out a few more minutes and then off to bed. (3/4/2008)
Response: You have my job if you submit the bid with the 350 price. Unclear what the problem is. Please resubmit. (3/4/2008)
Question: thats a classy thing to do bruce..........will from wetheryet! (3/4/2008)
Response: What does this mean? (3/4/2008)
Question: GOOD NIGHT!! get back to me if and when you want to accept my bid (3/4/2008)
Response: It seems you are missing one of my responses and have misunderstood. All your messages came in out of order, when I was attending to something else in another room. I am most interested in your bid, but need you to resubmit it with the 350 you have indicated you would do it for... I don't understand what the 394 is, but as I read UShips agreement it is clear if I accept a bid, I'm accepting the amount listed, not whats in the q&a. Please resubmit and I'll accept. This is a techno complication only. (3/4/2008)
Question: i originally said 400 with help and 350 w/ out. then you changed a few things.... adding another stop and deleting the power bed. so i bid 350 w/ help. that is 50 dollars cheaper then my first price. when i quote a price it is the amount that i want or am to recieve upon completetion. anything over and above does no come to me. in my case i bid 350. that is all you pay me. the additional money does not go to me. it goes to run the site. they keep it if the match is complete and they refund it if the job never gets done. i can not make it any clearer then that with out being in violation of the rules. in fact i am cetain this response will get flagged. i'll re submit.... you accept... we'll talk about it.... you don't like my explanation we'll do a retraction and move on............. (3/5/2008)
Response: ok please resubmit (3/6/2008)
