  • Personal Description:About Self I’m a 52 year old Mom of two teen boys. 14 and 15. Basically easy going, and mostly positive, and young at heart, but honestly have been bogged down lately with lots to deal with, arrange, decide and face. I’m strong and solid but sensitive, so I cry occasionally, but my tears don’t compromise my strength. I’m a true Christian, but not religious. Doesn’t make sense to most, but it’s the only thing that makes any sense to me. I’m just NOT a holy roller because I know God well and he knows I’m flesh and not perfect. That’s all. It’s just how I live my life. I don’t preach if you don’t want to hear it. But I’ll share if you want to know. Otherwise, I’m just a Mom who loves her kids and does what she can to make the best of everything. The boys are great. They’re mostly quiet and well mannered, respectful, a little shy but very helpful. We’re a family, small and broken but still good, headed for a new life.
  • Trip Desciption:Mom and teen sons need to get to Rock Hill, SC on March 15. It's a 7 1/2 hour drive on highway, which is why I would like a driver. I don't do highway well. Back routes would take us 10 + hours. No big deal, could do that too.
Additional Information: Just don’t like long distance driving. The boys and I have had a rough past two and a half years. I’ve had a rough past 16 years and I’m really looking forward to starting over. I just need NOT to have to drive another 7 to 10 hours. It just doesn’t bless me much. I can do some but I would just rather not do it alone with just the boys. My oldest wants to drive so badly, but didn’t have the chance to teach him yet or get him his license. It would be nice if you don't have to travel far to get to us. I could drive a short distance to your location. I'll get you back by bus or train. Open for discussion. I need to make arrangements as soon as possible. There are so many details to handle and one depends on the next. Thanks for looking!! Report a Violation

Question: Hello from Rock Hill. I am interested in both your listings. Your total target price on both is $500. Please tell me if all the boxed and unboxed items would travel in the back of a pickup truck? Are you wanting someone to give you a ride to Rock Hill or someone to drive your car to Rock Hill? What could you do on the bus ticket? That on top of your $200 target? Would you be able to send me a deposit by postal money order? That is a long way to travel with no deposit to assure me of a job and also it assures you that I'll be there. Open to questions. I'm free those dates, March 14-15-16 (2/28/2007)
Response: How would me sending you a money order assure me that you would be here? I'm sorry am I missing something? A money order is "money". It would be like sending money and never knowing if it got to where it was going. And you could just turn around and say you never got it. Why would I make arrangments for someone to do a job for me and then not be here? I HAVE to move. It's OK anyway, I think that I've got a great option already. (3/2/2007)

Question: I once drove 200 miles 2 Fayetteville. I knocked on the door & the guy said we cancelled didn't my brother call u? I lost 400 miles of time & gas. Alot of shippers cancel & change their plans. This is why many providers who are not local, require a deposit, usually about 1/3 of the bid amount, then another 1/3 at pickup and 1/3 at dropoff. It's a business thing. I live in Rock Hill. I can not drive 410 miles without a deposit, a good faith deposit of say $50-$75. If I lived near Kitty Hawk it would be different. It assures u that I'll show up because I have my feedback to protect. Money order is not cash, it's a document & u always get a receipt for money orders. Once u accept a bid u can talk by phone and e-mail to discuss details to further confirm. If u already have plans on transporting your family then this listing could be removed or u may get unwanted bids. I make long drives. U could drive 110 w/out stopping this gets u under 300 & the rest should be manageable with some stops (3/2/2007)

Question: also, on a money order deposit you can spend 55 cents and get delivery confirmation to prove it arrived. I'll be glad to refund the money order fee and delivery confirmation fee from the post office. (3/2/2007)
