Questions for this shipment:

Question: Are you looking at 1 or more than 1? If only 1, you're looking at at least $4.00 a mile and probably closer to $5.00 a mile. If you're buying more than 1, most transporters will give you a little break on the price. Have you went to look at them yet? If not, I'm going to be there tomorrow and could offer my opinion on the ones you'd like me to look at. Thanks (8/11/2009)
Response: I haven't seen them yet as it is about 450 miles from me. I figured if the cost of moving them was reasonable then it might be a good buy. I would be interested in knowing what condition they are in. There are many in the $500 and under range, but I am concerned that they might be trashed. I am trying to brainstorm ideas on how to get my cost of living down. I have some land available and this might be the way to go. (8/11/2009)
Response: We buy alot of these and everyone thinks the same thing. They see them when the bidding is only $500-$750 or so. But during the last day of the auction, they will jump to at least $8500-$13,500 each. Happens every time. That's still cheap, but once you figure in the cost of transporting and everything, it turns out to be more money than people expect. Alot of the ones in MD are brand new. But alot of them have leaks bad ceilings and floors. The ones in AR are hard to predict. Some are in really good shape and others are completely trashed. If you can't go look for yourself or send someone you trust, you're better off to not buy one. Guaranteed, all the dealers looking to buy them have inspected every one of them. The ones they don't run the bidding up on are the ones they don't want, which means their junk. If you contact me Thursday, I can tell you more about what's there. Thanks and good luck! (8/11/2009)
