Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Is this a machine that stands up and is 65 inches high? I would think that to achieve the freight class you identified, it would need to be on a pallet. Chase - Ann Arbor Shipping (7/10/2009)
Response:
Is 65" long, yes i ned on a pallet (7/10/2009)
Response:
Is the pallet prep something that can be done by the shipper or is that something that I will need to provide in addition to the transportation? Chase - Ann Arbor Shipping (7/10/2009)
Response:
you prove the pallet additionally to the transportacion auote (is not necessary the pallet to transport the machinery since is of metal and there is not pieces they can be damaged) (7/10/2009)
Response:
To achieve the more favorable classification the shipment must be packaged per standard. This is both for the ease of moving the item into the trailer and for delivery onto the dock. The other reason most items are strapped to pallets even when they are rather rugged is so that they do not shift during transport and damage other items in the trailer. If the item is on a pallet, I will send a cargo truck to pick up off of your dock or a truck with a gate to pick up off of your driveway. If the item is loose, I send a cargo van with different equipment to pick the item up and get it to my dock where it is then secured to a pallet. Chase - Ann Arbor Shipping (7/10/2009)
Response:
Yes, the machinery is on a pallet (7/11/2009)
