Additional Information: Looking for partial load 40'of open flat bed with an individual. I won't use a frieght forwarder. I have been out of the country and will answer all offers around my target. Decription follows; A complete disassembled MiG 17. Fuselage is 35 feet long and 5 feet around. Two wings which must be layed flat. 6 feet wide and taper to 3 feet. Wings are 15 feet long. Horizontal stab which can go under fuselage or on top of wings is 12 long and 6 feet wide. Two drop tanks six feet long.
I have moved three of these to date and the loading will go smooth. You only need plenty of tie down straps and chains.

Question: Shipper..be CAREFULL! This looks like a shipment that is very important, and by the looks of it your getting bids in your budget, but you are getting carriers that have little experience. Question: ok so as a pilot- i am looking at what non pilots DONT know about aircraft- 4000 with insurance is a good deal. like that guy said- you get what you pay for- and what if you get a guy to run it for 2k and it gets destroyed or damaged were you spend 5k fixing it?? Response: Hi again I have moved several of these across the country. I load and together we tie it down. It can't move! Now, if you wreck your truck or something like this it will get damaged, but I never claim the small stuff. It is the price of moving an aircraft! I have an offer of $2000 on a 40' goose neck now. Question: I was wondering if you ever thought of moving this in two different moves? I have a 34 foot enclosed trailer and could take wings, the stab on top of the wings and maybe even the fuel tank or tanks if not two big. This way you might get a better price on moving it. I use to live in Danbury so the area I know. I can take whatever will fit inside my trailer for $1150.00 but it would have to load on Thursday as I have to be in Florida after the weekend. Question: i just got done moving a dc-6 cockpit and a dc-4 cockpit. i know im new on here but have been in the trucking industry for 28 years we run specialty trailers low to the ground and can get into residential as well as commercil places i have a truck that will be in ct. will do for 2000.00 on this truck. if you have questions please accept bid and lets talk it wont hurt my feelings if you want to do a retraction but im betting you wont want to thanks freight-tec (1/15/2007)
