Additional Information: Photo shows boat with mast up. For the move, the mast will be taken down horizontally on top of the boat and secured. Weight indicated is approximate. Move date: for delivery to the FL address during the period Nov 22-26 is not flexible. Trailer is especially made for this boat and is equipped with two newly installed tires with new lugs. Spare tire is available. A new set of submersible light package will be installed prior to move. Will need assistance to launch boat at a ramp located about 1 mile from FL address. I will then motor boat to the FL address (30 minutes), where I own a slip and meet the service provider for delivery of the trailer and settle account according to agreement.
NOTE: The Gaithersburg address is my home address. The boat and trailer are in a small marina located in MD, about one hour away.
Pick up address is: Edgewater, MD ZIP CODE IS= 21037.
UPDATE OF SAT OCT 07 2006: Have had the trailer axle, bearings, spindles etc inspected and serviced, including bearing replacement (size 1 and1/16 inch), elimination of noise which was coming from friction with brakes, not bearings. Repacked with trailer bearing grease with grease gun into bearing fitting.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: We have many boat transports and which we do mainly in the cooler months and motorcycles all year long. We would pre-book your transport for $1200 NOW. (9/29/2006)
Response: Please clarify, in case I pre-book: 1- About what date would you transport? 2- How long would the trip take- I have to arrange to meet you in Florida. 3- Would the trip include taking the boat to my slip at the Florida address (the slip is part of the property, but the ramp is about 1 mile away. I can accept delivery at the boat ramp, if you deliver the trailer at the Florida address after boat release). 4- Please confirm that insurance is included in the price. Please confirm that the mover is responsible for all damages during the transport. I accept responsibility during process of launch at ramp. 5- Please confirm that the $1200 price is all inclusive (ie includes all other items such as taxes, fees, etc). (9/29/2006)
Question: If you pre-book this transport, the dates are flexible with your scheduling. Trip would be 2-4 days depending on our stop in N.C. Insurance is extra and although we exercise great care in transit...WE will not be responsible for damamge to secured items & sections. To launch and spot your trailer is $200 but we will included if you book today. (9/30/2006)
Response: Thank you for your response. MB (10/2/2006)
Question: (9/30/2006)
Response: Thank you for your response. MB (10/2/2006)
Question: [content removed] (9/30/2006)
Question: I also have more jobs done than wethereyet-and almost as mant as i95-they are good shippers-but so am I -am in for the long run and have proved my worth-you should look at some of the young turks coming up-little dogs always bite thebig ones-some of you "old timers" moved over for me-watch for etectransport-good people-hard workers-I know them-sometimes work with them-over 60 jobs done in 5 moths-look at quervo out of Atlanta-this guy is good-you guys do not own this site--shipper please take me seriously-my competitors do!Also you guys who harrass me find the courage to sign your names-I do-CAPTAINSTEVE (9/30/2006)
Response: To: CaptainSteve, Thank you for your response. I understood that the communication is between you and me only. Please do not concern yourself with other competitors. You made a good impression on me with your record, and I am in final stages of selection; you have also good marks for familiarity with boat moves. Please confirm again to me that the $300000 liability insurance is one that you cary and not Uship and that it is included in your bid (I was confused by the info regarding that point). Thank you. (10/1/2006)
Question: THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT AND REALIZING THAT BOYS WILL BE BOYS-THE $300000 LIABILITY IS ON MY VEHICHLE AND ANYTHINK THAT I TOW-IT IS A STANDARD COMMERCIAL POLICY THAT ALL RESPONSIBLE SHIPPERS HAVE-LOOKING FORWARD TO WORKING WITH YOU- CS (10/1/2006)
Response: Thanks for the response. - Note that I have a valid trailer sticker till April 2007. - I will be installing a new set of submersible light package on the trailer by end October. - would you like to see the trailer and boat prior to towing to make sure all is OK, including lights, etc? - What are your payment terms again, please (instalments, checks, credit cards)? Thank you, MB (10/1/2006)
Question: that will not be necesarry-your response indicates you care-what i have expertienced on two occassions were vendors who were not honest with purchasors-this does not seem to be the case with you-cs (10/1/2006)
Question: JUST MAKE SURE BEARINGS ARE REPACKED-THAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT THING-THAT IS WHERE PROBLEMS ARRISE WITH SELLERS THEY WONT SPEND THE 50 BUCKS AND CAN CAUSE A SERIOUS BREAKDOWN-VERY VERY IMPORTANT (10/2/2006)
Question: hope to confirm with you soon-am leaving thursday on a two week run north (10/2/2006)
Question: Please remember that i do not ask for a deposit and am willing to launch-reply appreciated (10/3/2006)

Question: you have several good shippers here that have bid-good luck to you whomever you chose-you have shown a lot of class here-CS (10/3/2006)

Question: and I thank you for your openmindednss-win or lose this has been a pleasure-all the best (10/3/2006)
Question: I read your discussion with another shipper-you bare a nice person-it appears you do have a bearing issue-remember I do have a trailer but does your boat have a deep keel--I am canceling my bid and rebiding-you need time to sort the trailer issue out properly-contact an rv-or a trailer vendor-boat yards do not do this (10/4/2006)
Response: Dear CS Thank you for your advice. I am awaiting the response from the other shipper. MB (10/4/2006)
Question: fixing a trailer is noy as easy as some would make it out to be-have a qualified trailer mechacic check it out-you mat have actuator brakes-this could be the problem-please believe this old sea captain when he says he is more worried about the integrity of your shipment than getting a job (10/4/2006)
Question: I CAN DO THIS FOR $850 & CAN DO THIS ON YOUR TIME FRAME.AND IF I DO NOT MAKE IT ON TIME I WILL DRIVE YOU BACK TO DC.MY SELF ON MY WAY BACK.FOR I LIVE IN VA.ON LAKE GASTON. 1KENNY (10/5/2006)
Response: Thank you "1KENNY". Your bid doesn't seem to be posted yet. MB (10/5/2006)
Question: all the items you ask are not a problem.i will even help you sail it to the dock if need be.looks like your trailer just needs bearings packed.dont worry about lights i have a extra set with me always.checks are fine. i just need to be flexible on pickup date not delivery date. just to confirm this is a single axle trailer and boat is less than 8 feet wide? please let me know so i can cancel other bids if i am hauling yours. regards caqpt mark (10/5/2006)
Response: CAPTMARK, - Thank you for your response and here are my answers: - Yes, single axle trailer. - Boat 8 ft wide (max regular allowable width on road, I believe). MB. (10/5/2006)
Question: MB, I believe your ins. carrier requires that the transporter must carry that much ins. to be legal to haul. With out a legal transporter you may as well have no ins. because in the event of an accident They will not cover your boat or pay any part of the claim.Ask your ins agent! (10/5/2006)
Response: Thank you, Chaul. I'll follow up. (10/5/2006)
