Questions for this shipment:
Question:
What is the year of the boat? Is the boat at a location where it can be loaded onto the trailer? When will the boat be ready? Phil @ Boat Moves, Inc. (12/28/2007)
Response:
Hi Phil, the Maxum is a 1995 and I am waiting to recieve more information from the seller regarding the marina it is located and i will need to have the boat shrink wraped before transport. I will let you know as soon as I recieve the information. Thanks (12/28/2007)
Question:
Shipper could you please tell me what your time frame is? I have a driver dropping a new boat in San Deigo on 1/05 we could pick up then. thanks ddonaldson Marine Transport (12/28/2007)
Response:
I have purchased the boat on ebay and they will not release information until payment is recieved. I have to get the boat shrink wraped and prepared for pick up. I will let you know asap. Thanks (12/28/2007)
Response:
Thanks we will wait to hear from you . Let me know if we can help. ddonaldson Marine Transport (12/28/2007)
Question:
Shipper could you please tell us if you have a target price? this would save alot of time. thanks ddonaldson Marine Transport (12/29/2007)
Response:
I have a target price of around $2,000.00, I know that's cheap but I am a automotive wholesaler and I will buy a truck at auction to go down myself but I'm trying to avoid the hassle. Cheers, (12/29/2007)
Response:
Shipper I am sorry but I don't think we can do this for that price, fuel is over 3.60 per gal. I wish you luck finding a boat trailer & truck and paying for fuel for a round trip and tolls for 2000. Best of luck ddonaldson Marine Transport (12/29/2007)
Response:
Thanks anyway (12/29/2007)
Question:
(12/29/2007)
Response:
Sorry I did'nt mean to offend you. What I ment to say was that you would spend more than 2000.00 if you were to haul it yourself. Therefore your target range would need to be adjusted. (12/30/2007)
Response:
I thought if someone was coming back with an empty load it may be worth while, again this is my first boat and first time using this site, I need to be educated on pricing and proceedures but I'm also price contious as well. (12/30/2007)
Question:
Is it possible to meet you at the boarder and avoid going into Canada? I can meet your price however with transport fees and all of the paperwork bringing a boat across the boarder it would be much easier for the owner to do that. Please let me know so I can bid appropriately. Thanks Brian (12/30/2007)
Response:
Hello and thank you for your inquiry, I unfortunatly do not have a trailer or truck and will need it to come accross the border. I am a Automotive Wholesaler and looking to possibly bring more boats accross during the winter months. Can you describe what would be needed at the border and I will do my best to provide them to you or help anyway possible. Cheers, (12/30/2007)
Question:
Good God people....Hauling too cheap will not keep you in business long either.Shipper some of us are not trying to insult you or anything. It is just that many boat owners do not realize how much transportation cost have climbed recently. These prices you have although seem high are all in range of transporting this.I can only speak for myself but I also think prices are way too high and it is affecting all of us.Relax.... (12/30/2007)
Response:
I don't have a problem of getting quote's of current market pricing, what I do have a problem with is individuals insulting / blaming the uneducated. I don't expect you all to know the prices of what I do for a living but I can inform you in an adult manner. Listen, this is not a bitch session, i just wanted a few bids on the item listed and I will make my decision from there, I'm a nice guy......just do not tolerate being insulted. Cheers, (12/30/2007)
Response:
Understand,I see uship got on the ball and removed the insulting comments.GOOD.We do not need that.I do not stereotype people and there is nothing wrong with getting info. This might be helpfull;Be sure and do your homework on taking a bid at unrealistic price...check them out.good.My price was high because of the expense of international shipment and the area it leaves me in.Just because another is considerably lower does not mean that they are not qualified and legal. No matter what the difference it is your money Good luck.....tduncan55 (12/30/2007)
Question:
Hello Shipper, I am sorry you had to go through this on Uship because this is a great site to find what you need without being insulted. One of the reasons the prices may seem high is you have a boat without a trailer, going into a location that is hard to find a return run which will make the transportor have to deadhead. I don't know if the person you got the boat from have a trailer you may could buy which will cut your cost some. Also, the weather factors in your priceing this time of year, so if you wait that may help as well. I hope this helps and good luck with your new boat. Thanks Phillips 4 Transporting (12/30/2007)
Response:
Thank you for the info, some good points to consider. Unfortunately the seller did not have a trailer for me to purchase. I have recieved a good bid and will probably book. Thanks again for the input. Cheers, (12/30/2007)
Question:
Hello shipper. Check my feedback and numerous Canadian boat transports. Certainty of the transaction completing on stated timeframe is worth something, isn't it? (12/30/2007)
