Response: Your asking for your boat to be shipped 1400 miles for $1000????? That isn't even $1 mile. Equipment is priced much differently per mile then a boat. Also you may want to change your listing to delivery point being Oroville, WA. Myself and maybe 2 other carriers on this site transport into Canada. This will helpy you be noticed better. A boat this size goes for $1.20 + mile on average. Equipment is usually cheaper per mile depending on weight. I don't think even an "illegal" carrier would ship for $1,000. Response: The Baja is being loaded onto MY BOAT TRAILER. It is coming out of South Carolina. I could have had your boat on the load that I just delivered in Nanaimo. That is why I asked about it on the 11th. I have 12 more boats going that way but they are all booked with each other. I may be able to bring it up with a 17' Bayliner. Customer I just delivered for yesterday asked me about shipping a boat from Phoenix up to the Island again. But that is a MAYBE. Wish I could have helped sooner. (4/25/2008)

Response: As far as being able to deliver by the 9th, that shouldn't be a problem That being said I have to have my truck diagnosed in the morning as it just started having a minor problem. I will inform you tomorrow as soon as it is fixed and I know when I will be back on schedule. My insurance is FULL coverage up to $100k as of tomorrow. I already carry $60k but am towing a new boat that is $70k prompting the insurance increase.The boat will need to be on its own triler,and as far as registration would go, I can buy permits to haul the trailer.I will have to research this further,and get back to you with amount of $ involved.Thank you, Rob. Question: FYI-You don't need a temp tag as a LEGAL TRANSPORTER SHOULD HAVE TRANSPORT PLATES. The temp tag won't make a difference as OR & WA don't recognize them and the carrier will still need to purchase a trip permit. Not all the carriers on this site are LEGAL which means you take a chance at getting your boat inpounded. You can verify if a carrier is legal by going to www.safersys.org and enter there MC# under licensing/insurance. If they DON'T have an MC# or it ISN'T active then they are ILLEGAL TO HAUL. uShip doesn't verify the credentials of anyone on this site and leave that up to YOU. That website if the offical site to verify LEGAL AND ILLEGAL CARRIERS. Hope this bit of information helps you understand and make an informed decision. Thanks. (4/25/2008)

Question: With the cost of fuel & lodging the rate should be $ 1.00 per Mile or above. There are others that pull for less but they don't stay around for long. Fuel in the area where I live is $ 4.29 to 4.89 PG. Not much cheaper on the route to deliver your boat to WA. I do understand shippers do not like to pay that. If not I just stay home. Good Luck. Response: I just delivered 4 boats & 3 other small items in the bed of my PU. Anything that pays $ will fit in the bed. Sailboat paid $ 1.00 Per Mile. Othere less since I don't want to drive with out a paying load. One other thing, rare to get a pull back to my area. (4/25/2008)
