Additional Information: I need to ship a new boat from Houston to Seattle. It has been listed here for a month and I have had a number of shippers inquire and have had a few that I thought were going to ship it but they suddenly don't respond to questions. I'm getting a little frustrated and just want to get my boat shipped. I am very flexible on the time frame but after waiting a month I'd like to get something done soon. One of the issues are the height. From ground to top of tower it is just over 9 feet. The tower can not be lowered so this may prevent it from being put on a trailer. I don't care if it is towed or trailered, I just want to get it here. Thanks, Charlie Report a Violation

Response: Thanks for the interest but I got a quote for delivery on a trailer for 2675, I'm just trying to see if someone can do better than that. (3/7/2007)
Question: give me a date to work this in if we can get a set date around the 1 of april i will to this for 1750.00 let me know DAN you can check my feed back at tri352000 thank you (3/7/2007)
Response: I'm responding to a lot of questions right now so either put in a bid or give me some time to work through them, you also need to be more specific regarding the transport. Thanks (3/7/2007)
Question: Does this unit have its own Trailer??? or is one required. (3/9/2007)
Response: it's on a single axle trailer (3/9/2007)
Question: We have a 40ft flatbed trailer. Do you have some way to load the boat and trailer onto our trailer and unload it? I would like to bid, but need this answered. Thank you, Mike. (3/9/2007)
Response: no I don't and wouldn't have the first clue as to how it's done (3/9/2007)
Question: I am a boat dealer and I have a 53 ft lowboy trailer that I can fit 2 boats with trailers on. I can haul this for $1600 if you can give me a week to find another boat to haul with yours, or $2000 to hook up to your trailer and just pull it to you. MM (3/9/2007)
Response: does the 1600 include insurance? (3/10/2007)
Question: Yes it does. I carry $1,000,000.00 in insurance. and the other boat going to washington is ready so if this sounds good the trip will take 3 days deliver on the 4th day. $1600 MM (3/10/2007)
Response: Are you flexible on dates, it may be until the end of next week before mine is ready to ship? Also, I just got a message from a guy in texas who is interested in buying a boat exactly like the one I am selling (1996 malibu echelon 20.5 ft). He was looking locally but I was thinking that if everything worked out maybe he could buy mine and you could take it back with you which would be a win-win for everyone, that is if you were heading back to Texas after dropping mine of here in Seattle. Let me know (3/10/2007)
Question: That would work out great if we could work a return trip for you other boat. I will place my bid tomarrow or monday when I hear back from the other shipper on weather those dates work for him too. some times here on uship I've noticed it takes people a little time to aswer back. so hang in there and I'll same you alot of money. MM (3/10/2007)
Response: Please respond if you are still interested in shipping my boat. Thanks, Charlie (3/14/2007)
Question: Hi, I can transport your boat to Bellevue WA. for you. I have 30+ years of experience transporting boats, so I know boats well. Check out my feedback and profile. We are pros and we care. There are sometimes details that only a professional would see, I am that professional.. Thanks Brian. (themaxview) (3/10/2007)
Question: Dear Sir, thank you for taking the time to read my bid. A bit confused! I gave you your target bid at $2000 but you say too high. In-turn, pls explain why the bid ours is still active? Also, if $2000 is not your target bid, then what is it? Thank you, 2UKWIK (3/10/2007)
Response: sorry, this is the first time for me using this site. I have a couple possible offers of 1500 and 1600 but we are in the question and answer stage, not official bids. I just edited the post to change it to 1500, thanks for pointing this out and I'm sorry for any inconvenience this caused you (3/10/2007)
Question: No problem and thank you for getting bk with me. If you chg your mine, pls let me know. 2UKWIK (3/10/2007)
Response: you're welcome and thank you (3/10/2007)
Question: The reason I dont have feedback on uship is that I just started using it. I have sold some boats and motors on ebay and seen it advertised there. hopefully uship will become an asset for our company.MM (3/12/2007)
Response: ok, thanks (3/12/2007)
Question: (3/13/2007)
Question: Are you considering using the provider(MM)with the 53ft lowboy if you/they can find another boat to ship with yours? If so, I would be interested is splitting the shipping. I have a boat that needs to be picked up in Dallas and delivered to Oregon. Both stops are on the way and the boat could be ready quickly if carried on a provider's trailer and the freight split. (3/13/2007)
Response: i haven't heard back from either of the shippers I was talking with-will let you know when I do-let me know if you come across something (3/14/2007)
Question: Thanks for the update. I will let you know if I see anything. (3/14/2007)
Question: Yes, I will bid tomarrow. sorry about not getting back to you. we had some storms come through that knocked out my Internet service while I was out on the road delivering a boat to santa fe. I also seen that someone asked you about space on that run. tell them yes I will have space. the other guy I had booked backed out because his boat financing fell threw. you will recieve my bid tomarrow. MM (3/14/2007)
Response: are you going to bid? (3/15/2007)
Question: yes I will bid, I have been trying to find out what to do about another shipper here on uship that contracted me to haul his boat and atv for $2000 but when I delivered it he paid me $500 and told me he would have to make payments to pay the rest. the police there were he is told me that I had to turn over his property because he had paid something on the bill of lading. I know that I was scammed because the cop called him by his first name and smiled at me while he informed me that I would have to take what he offered and leave his property and seek payment thruogh legal channels. so at this time I am only taking contracts that are willing to post a %50 deposit. If you are willing to do that then we can move your boat now for you. I do already have another boat going to the north west. I am sorry, but I wont stay in business long if I dont make sure my overhead is at least covered. I hope you understand. MM (3/17/2007)
Response: 50% up front is no problem, when do you think you can do it and what is the total cost including full insurance coverage? I have another bidder who is going to put it on a trailer as well and I want to get the total cost to make my decision. Thanks (3/17/2007)
Question: The total cost is the $1600 we talked about. I dont charge extra for insurance because I am already required to have it just to operate, so if someone else is trying to charge you extra for insurance your getting scammed. the government already requires them to have a minimum of $30000 cargo insurance in order to recieve their operating authority. as for when. I can pick it up on wednesday and have it there in 4 days. most likely it will only take three days but it looks better to be early than to be late. so let me know if we have a deal and I will bid. I'm at home this weekend so I check my emails every hour. also I call my customers every night when I stop and get a hotel room and give them the hotels info so they can check on there property and feel at ease. MM (3/17/2007)
Response: OK, let's get it done (3/17/2007)
Question: [phone number removed] (3/17/2007)
Question: [removed - unrelated to services offered] (3/18/2007)
Response: Are you still interested in shipping my boat? (4/1/2007)
Question: Do you still need this boat shipped? We are very interested. Thanks. (3/29/2007)
Response: yes I do, looks like the shipper I was going to use may back out because the other boat he was going to tow with mine backed out. Give me some info please (3/29/2007)
Question: How fast do you need this delivered? The price will depend on that. (3/29/2007)
Response: i'm flexible but getting frustrated by this process, I just want to talk with someone and get my boat shipped, not post a question and wait 4 days for a response. I didn't know there was a message box until now, that is why I haven't responded. thanks (4/5/2007)
Question: Hellon JJohnson, Do you still need to ship your boat. I live in the Houston area and maybe I can help you. Let me know and we will see what we can do. Thanks Doug (3/29/2007)
Response: didn't know there was a message box until now and yes I need to get my boat shipped, I'm getting frustrated with the process so any help would be appreciated. Thanks (4/5/2007)
Question: Pulling a boat to Austin Tx early april. Too far off ? (3/29/2007)
Response: i haven't heard back from you, are you able to ship my boat? (4/1/2007)
Question: Yes wev are still interested, we will be back in Houston in about 1 week, load up and head back to Washington via California, can pick up your boat along. it will be trailered on our 53 ft trailer and the price remains the same. (jasminemotors2). (4/1/2007)
Response: What is the height maximum, I'm thinking the height of my boat with the tower may be an issue. I was not aware that the tower must stay up because when down it rests on the windshield which is not an option during transport. Height is 9'2". Let me know what you think Thanks (4/3/2007)
Question: It will not be an issue because we will place your boat and trailer at the very rear of the trailer (which is a Wedge style trailer ) we carried enclosed trailers on it that were 20 ft in length and 11 ft in height with no problems, our only issue will be the max width from outside tire to outside tire is less than 8 ft by about 2-3 inches to let them sit between the edges of our trailer securely and without bouncing throughout the entire trip. (4/3/2007)
Response: I sent your message to the current owner and this was his response... The trailer tires measure 8 feet, 3 inches. The trailer guide posts stick out further than that, but they are easy enough to take off and put inside the rear storage locker. But, if I read his note correctly, it has to be 2-3 inches LESS than 8ft. Looks like it's a problem but let me know your thoughts. If this doen't work I'm probably going to just have a company tow the boat on it's own trailer. (4/4/2007)
Question: Shipper, I want you to know that something has changed, I won't have my trailer with me when I go to Texas. I will still be able to tow your boat to Bellevue, Wa. on your trailer if you are alright with that. I am sorry if that causes any problems, Paul Triple R (4/4/2007)
Response: when could you pick it up and what is the price? (4/4/2007)
Question: Hi this MARCUS with viptransport I have a 26 ft boxed van being driven From California currently out of california heading into arizona and the lower states to New York and the upper states back to California please respond immediately only if your shipment is ready to be shipped within the next 2 weeks do not respond if you do not wish to use us.
