Hello Karen, thank you for the bid request. If I was to bid on this it would be for tow away service and I wouldn't be able to pick up and drop until the week of august 18th or even maybe the week after. If this will work I will go ahead and place a bid? I might be able to pick up and drop off sooner, those are just tentative dates just to be safe. Thanks
This would work, but we would really like to get the boat sooner if possible.
This is our first time using Uship, so I have some insurance-related questions for you….. While the boat is in your possession, is it covered by your insurance? If so, what is the coverage level? Is there a Deductible Amount that we would be responsible for? If so, how much is this? Would you please also let me know how the following situations would be handled…
1. Boat is damaged while in transit
2. Boat is destroyed in an accident while in transit
3. Boat is stolen while in transit.
Thanks for your help with these questions.7/21/2014
Hello Karen, all very good questions. First, let me say that we take care of any shipment we do as if it were our own. Second, if you read our feedback you can see that we have never had a problem with any shipment we have done. To answer your questions now: Yes, we have insurance and the boat will be covered, also you could purchase additional insurance through uship for more peace of mind. Coverage level is up to $75,000. There would be no deductible on your part or any responsibility on your part. Answers to your other questions: Whenever we pick up a shipment we take pictures showing what shape the item is in, so if there was damage while in transit we would (out of pocket) pay for any damages. Boat is destroyed insurance will cover to get new one. I have a locking hitch that can't be cut or taken off unless you have a key so hitch will not come off of truck. Also, I have a lock that goes on the lever so that it can't come off the ball of the hitch. 7/21/2014
Thank you for the additional information. I like what I read in your responses. Please provide me with a bid to transport our boat along with a delivery timeframe once you're able to firm that up. As mentioned….we would like to have the boat delivered as quickly as possible. We did request bids from other providers; the combination of price and estimated delivery date will strongly influence our decision on which provider to select.
Would you also let me know your First Name so I can address my future emails to you in a more personal manner.
My name is Brandon. Let me look over my schedule here in a bit so that I might be able to give you a better time frame for pick up and delivery. Once I do that I will put in my bid which will also show you time frames for pick up and delivery. Thank you.7/21/2014
I thought I'd follow up with you to see if you know more about your timeframe for pick-up and delivery. I have one other company that bid that also looks very good, so I would like to make a decision soon. Thanks.7/22/2014
Hello Karen, I just looked it over and here is what I have. I don't have a definite date I could pick up but I could pick up sometime within the week of August 11th (maybe sooner) and have delivered within 4 days of pick up. I did notice that someone quoted you $1880 and if I were you I'd take it because there is no way I could go that low. My price would be $2150. Thanks7/22/2014
Karen, is this boat on a single axle or tandem axle trailer ? Condition of trailer ? I can tow it around 8/9 for $ 1880. Check my feedback and ratings. Thanks
Condition of trailer is good, single axle, at minimum, I would need to buy a spare tire for such a long trip and will plan to do so if we agree to terms. Can you be more specific please on skip date, I would need confirmation on date of pick up and delivery. Thanks - Karen

Karen, my dates are 8/9 or 8/10, and delivery within 3 days since we can drive legally up to about 700miles/day.
An FYI for you: my insurance has $ 1000 deductible, you can buy coverage for this here on Uship. ALSO my insurance and any insurance will not cover damages created by your own trailer. Example, if a tire blows, shreds the fenders and hits the boat before I can stop (I travel 65mph max) no insurance will pay for that, since it's your own property damaging itself.
I do have spare wheels sets on my own, all brand new, if I need I can replace yours with a new one, then you can refund me.
The best thing you can do for yourself is have trailer inspected and prepped for the trip by a shop, while I can repair many issues "on the road" you don't want to get stuck with huge towing or repair bills.
Trust solid established shippers, we do this for a living, and we know what we're doing, or we wouldn't be here after many years. Thank you.
This is Tim (Karen's husband). I'm filling in on this question. I see from a previous message that you quoted $1,880 for towing our boat from New Germany MN to Seattle. I am new to Uship, but I don't see an actual quote from you. Did you submit one? Based on your responses you have obviously been doing this for a long time. I have one other company that I'm also considering besides yourself. I presented them with questions yesterday and need to follow up with them before I can select.
Any chance you could deliver sooner than the August 12/13 timeframe? Price and delivery date are two of our major criteria. Please let me know. Thanks,
I am out of the country right now, and I will be back on 8/4. I really would like to do this earlier but I don't think it's possible. If I pickup by the 10th I can deliver in 3 days ( DOT laws states I can drive only 11 hours/day which makes approx 700 miles).
I haven't placed a bid yet, I rather discuss all the details and pricing before, then bid on a job. This saves from overbooking and cancellations.
Let me know what you decide and I will place my bid.
I understand. If you're still comfortable with that $1,880 bid, please go ahead and submit a bid and I will accept it. Since you will be towing the boat/trailer, the drop-off point will be Seattle Boat Company at 3911 Lake Washington Blvd. SE, Bellevue, WA 98006. Good news about this location is that it keeps you out of the main Seattle traffic areas as it is on the east side of the metro area.
The trailer has been inspected and is ready for the trip. We will most likely purchase a spare tire.
We would like you to transport the boat with the canvas cover off. It can be stored in the stern storage area.
Tim, I placed my bid. Let me know if you want to proceed. Thanks7/24/2014
Hi KVE. I am pretty sure we are going to proceed. I left a voicemail with my wife Karen to make sure she is comfortable. She has not responded back, but I should know something within the next 3 hours. Once she says OK, I'll accept your bid.
Tim and Karen, is this shipment still active ?
Yes, this shipment is still active. You are my preferred carrier. I'm just waiting to get Karen's opinion as well, then we'll pull the trigger. I suspect we will accept your bid later tonight.
