Additional Information:
1 Ram, 6 Ewes and 5 lambs to be transported from Maine to Colorado. Ram does not need to be seperated from the ewes. Easy to handle. Also have oxen and horses listed. Would prefer bid to haul all animals at once.
Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Would the ram need to be separated from the ewes and lambs? We are trying to determine if we could move all your animals in one trip. We have a 45' Pegasus air ride van (set up for horses but we had Pegasus build it so that all box stall sides can be collapsed. And your sheep needs confuse me--5 sheep weight 1000#? What do the 12 weight; are they full-sized or miniatures? Thanks, Kay - L.J. & Kay McLemore, McLemore's Horse Transport (rig pictured on our uShip profile) (3/15/2009)
Response:
The Ram does not need to be seperated from the ewes. He is very friendly and not aggressive. We have 12 sheep total. 1 Ram, 6 ewes and (5) 2 month old lambs. In total I estimate they weigh 1,000 lbs. The horses weigh 1100, 1000 and 1100. The Oxen weigh in at 4200 - 4300 lbs. in total. (3/15/2009)
Response:
Kindly let us know if the end of March would work for your schedule? If so, we'll bid. Thanks, Kay - L.J. & Kay McLemore, McLemore's Horse Transport (3/15/2009)
Response:
Yes, the end of March would be fine. (3/15/2009)
Response:
We have bid on your entire trip (sheep, oxen, horses). Had to limit the bid to a 3-day period as we would not be able to accept any other transports if we were to help you. Hope it works for us all. Thanks, Kay - L.J. & Kay McLemore, McLemore's Horse Transport (3/15/2009)
Response:
Thank you. (3/15/2009)
Question:
Good Morning! Stock Shipper here just checking in to see how progress is going on your shipment. I will be in your area the very last day or two of March or the first day or two of April. Thanks Dale (3/18/2009)
Response:
Hi Dale: Thank you for the update. The end of March is what we are shooting for. However, I have a current bid that came in for 1700 to haul the horses and the oxen. We have a trailer I can haul the sheep if I need to, although it would be best of they could all be shipped together. However, with this bid, it works to ship just the horses and the oxen. Let me know if you can beat this bid or if you have any additional input. (3/18/2009)
Question:
Are you willing to pay the max figure listed of $1500? If so, I will bid the job for moving the sheep and the oxen. You name the date and I can work with it. Would require a deposit to begin the trip. (3/18/2009)
Response:
Yes. A deposit will be no problem. Can you haul the oxen with the horses instead of with the sheep? We would like to have the animals picked up by the 31st of March. (3/18/2009)
Question:
My rig consists of a dually diesel pickup with an Alumline Topper designed for hauling small livestock (sheep, goat, hogs and I think mini horses) and a Logan coach 4 horse bumper pull slant load. For clarification, the price is for each specie, correct? (3/18/2009)
Response:
Our budget is 1500 for the hauling the animals in any combination together. The oxen may not fit in your 4 horse. We have a 4 horse and they are a tight fit. What are your bay measurements on the trailer? The dimensions on the topper? There are 12 sheep all together. We have 5 lambs that are 2 months old. The adult sheep are medium build and average 150lbs. each. (3/18/2009)
Question:
The topper is 8 ft. (the length of the truck bed) and has a divider gate. I have hauled many a goat and am confident that the numbers and relative size would fit and have enough room for trip of this length. There is a ventilation strip to regulate the ventilation. Now to the trailer, I am assuming the with of the stalls would be in the32-34 inch range. I can tell you precisley tommorrow as I will have physical possession by then as I am just pickinkg it up. If the steers arent a good fit, I could haul the horses and you could haul the oxen. I could do a combo of two (horses/sheep/-oxen/sheep) for the price of $2000. (3/18/2009)
Response:
Thank you for the details. Another transporter has bid 1700 to haul the oxen and the horses together. (3/18/2009)
Question:
What is your status? I have the four horse s/L can now haul 2 of your three species. I am going to rebid. Thank you Horseman59 (3/27/2009)
