Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi, are you saying the fuselage is 9ft wide with wings removed? 10ft long correct. Thanks Davey (10/7/2005)
Response: Davey, The fuselage is correct, 9ft wide with wings removed, but the length is closer to 14 feet long. (10/7/2005)
Question: There is something odd here, are you saying that your fuselage is 9’ wide? I am looking at a home built two place jet at Torrance airport and it is not that wide with the wings removed, plus there are two other tail spinners here too and they are not the wide either. If not, I can haul (inside trailer measurement) 7 ½ wide and up to 21 ½ long for you ASAP. (10/9/2005)
Response: Depends on where the wings detatch. On mine, the wings detatch part way out the wing. The actual dimentions on the width is somewhere around 9 1/2 feet wide, but if one wing is lifted 33", it can fit inside an 8'van. 7 1/2 feet MIGHT work, but it'd be tight. See Pictures at this link :http://www.ez.org/images/UHAUL1.jpg also : http://www.ez.org/images/UHAUL2.jpg (10/9/2005)
Question: Hello,,,I have a 25 ft long by 8ft wide gooseneck that I could haul your airplane on for you. If $2200.00 is an acceptable fee for you I will be happy to help you with your transport. Thanks for your time,,,,,Bob (10/9/2005)
Response: Bob, Thanks for your offer. $2200.00 is way out of my budget. The max I offered was $800.00. The trip is about 1800 miles. I was looking at around .30 cents a mile. I could go a little higher, but not 2200. Thanks (10/9/2005)
Question: Give me an Idea of how much higher you can go. .30 does not even pay for the fuel, let alone wear and tear, insurance, driver pay. I understand that you wish to do this as cheap as possible, and that is why I am asking what you realistically see as a high cost. (10/10/2005)
Response: The highest I can go would be .70 cents a mile. The trip is about 1800 miles. Total cost of $1,260.00. If you have a 45' van, this would take up about 1/4 of it, and if you could haul other cargo, you could make the trip worth your time. Thanks. (10/10/2005)
Question: Hey shipper I have a long bed truck and could do this for your rate! Can we fit it in there? I know this is a fragil load, I have foam wedges and lost of straps! Load securement would be easy enough. Look at my profile to see the truck, let me know ASAP as I am booking a load going to your pick up point, And I need a run back. This would do it for me! Thanx! (10/10/2005)
Response: There is too much airplane to fit in the back of a pick-up. Even a long bed at 8 or poss. 10' long is not big enough for the 14' long plane, two wings, and front wing. It might be possible to rent a trailer which you could tow. If you would take a passenger, I could ride along and baby sit the load. I think we might need to re-negotiate the rate then though. Thanks (10/10/2005)
Question: Hey shipper this is very possible. Are you still online right now? (10/11/2005)
Response: No, I'm not on line now, but I will be tonight again. I'll be on line on Tuesday Oct 11th, @ 11:30 Central time. Hope we can get together. I think we may have something here. GM (10/11/2005)
Question: Well I guess not? Thats OK, lol. I was hoping to get the details done tonight. I do think we can do this. I have a load going to Cali, and this would be a great return load. As well I have no problems with a you riding with me. I think it would be better like you said to help watch the load. We need to get the prices together, but I see no real issues with that. See what you can find out as well so will I. What size trailer do you think we will need. Also if you want, give me a time we can meet here online so we can chat live and get all the details down. Keep in mind I am in the Eastern Time zone. I am open to almost anytime! Talk to you soon! C.A.P. (10/11/2005)
Response: I am buying this plane from a guy in Tucson who also towed it on a trailer years ago. He said a Uhaul trailer would work, but I'm not sure what size. I believe it's a car hauler type or some other flat bed type. I'm shooting for a return trip somewhere near Oct19th or 20th. How much do you think you'd need for the return trip. Tucson area to Milwaukee area ? If we can get together on the $$, this seems do-able. I'll be on line again late tonight. GM (10/11/2005)
Question: WoW!!! I looked your U-Haul pictures and it doesn’t matter who you use, that will have to build special bracing … etc. to handle your transport needs. Did you notice that the landing gear appeared to be removed too? Well I am a real gluten for punishment someday, this load could be a challenge to even get it into an enclosed trailer safely. However I understand that you will be flying in and might want to ride back east with your plane. Here’s what I purpose, as you know I am located directly on Torrance airport and like airplanes, thus if you will help me load per your specs. And want to ride back in my 40’ luxury motor coach too (I am a said to be a great cook and you wouldn’t have any motel bills too), I’ll haul your airplane for $1.00 per mi. and you pay the UShip charges, plus all needed bracing materials too. Ultimately, why trash your dream for the want of a few extra dollars? David (10/11/2005)
Response: Dave, Thanks for your response. I looked at the Pic again, and the landing gear is still on the plane. $1.00 per mile is far more than I want to need to spend. I will not be hauling it like this inside a trailer. The seller has hauled it before on a flat trailer so it won't have to be on a jig. The trip in the motorhome would be tempting, ('specially with an offer of that great cooking ! ), but I'm sure I can get this home for less than $800.00. All I need is to rent a flat trailer, and get someone to pull it home. ( If I can't find a pilot to fly it home for me ). Thanks so much for considering to help ! ! Glenn (10/11/2005)
Question: I would guess getting someone to fly it home would be the best option of all. Best of Luck, David (10/12/2005)
Response: Yes, I think so. But getting a pilot qualified to fly this is not too easy. GM (10/12/2005)
Question: HOWDY, COULD THIS BE PICKED UP ON THURS. THE 13 OR 14TH? THANKS DAN MORRELL (10/12/2005)
Response: Sorry, I can't get there that fast. GM (10/12/2005)
