Additional Information: I have a broken back/ribs and was recently released from hospital. Thus, I'm unable to get the border. CDN door-to-door delivery is therefore preferred. I also have a neighbor with an '81 Blazer to pick up in Phoenix for delivery to the same location. Please note I have marked a Book it Now price of $1200. That price is for my Land Rover ONLY. For both vehicles, a BIN target of a combined $2300 gets the business. So - let's talk about it! Many thanks. Report a Violation

Questions for this shipment:

Question: Thank you for the bid request. I will be in Los Angeles on Wed 2/20, and I could load your car at that time. I would transport it by itself, directly to Sweetgrass, MT. so you would enjoy pure, personal service. DOT legal, and fully insured, $1400. Let me know soon. I compete on service, not price, check my feedback, you will not be disappointed. Rick (2/16/2008)
Response: Timeframe a bit tight. Just bought vehicle yesterday and import paperwork for CDN requirements not completed yet. Thanks and keep in touch. Can we talk about the price though? Cheers... (2/16/2008)
Response: The timeframe is flexible, with weather being the big factor this time of year. I live in Phoenix, Arizona, and am in Southern Calif. quite often, so I could load your car at a later date, if need be. The price is firm, as I provide superior service, and work with your schedule. I have been to Sweetgrass many times before, and there is absolutely no chance of a paying return load anywhere near there, so that also has to be factored in. Keep me informed as to your time line, and we can get this scheduled, and done. Thanks, Rick (2/16/2008)
Response: I am also flexible on port of entry. Would WA or others be better chance for a back haul? (2/16/2008)
Response: Blaine, WA. (Seattle) would be a better bet for me, and would lower your price to $1107. The import/export process requires 72 hours notice, and transit time from Los Angeles would be the same amount of time. Rick (2/16/2008)
Response: I am in Calgary, bed-ridden presently with a busted back. Thus the presference for delivery right to Calgary. Would need a car jockey either way. Thanks for the info and I'll get back. Randy (2/16/2008)
Question: FYI: The transit distance to Blaine is only 140 miles less than to Sweetgrass. The savings is based on easier reload. Rick (2/16/2008)
Question: Hello, if driveaway service is ok, we will drive the vehicle to you including gas etc for 1100. We are very experienced at driveaway and happy to provide customer references. If you are interested, we will bid and book the dates as you want them. Thanks (2/16/2008)
Response: Driveaway not preferred. Adds almost 3000 km to the odometer just for delivery. But thanks for replying. Randy (2/16/2008)
Question: Thanks for the bid request. We can get her to Sweetgrass, MT but we cannot do AB as our semi is too long for your laws. PU Sat or Sunday the 23rd or 24th del 27th or 28th + -. Let us know if this timeframe would work and we can procure a bid for you! Check out our feedback, nothing above your new toy to drop fluids on as we are a specialty carrier, not a broker. (2/16/2008)
Response: Thanks. Cost? (2/16/2008)
Response: our bid is below. Regards, (2/17/2008)
Response: "Our bid is below" - meaning....?? (2/17/2008)
Question: Thanks for the request but we are not licensed to go into Canada.(dylwes95) (2/16/2008)
Response: What about to Cdn port in MT, ID or WA? (2/17/2008)
Response: We are pretty much running to Texas and back through June of this year. Thanks again, (dylwes95) (2/17/2008)
Question: Hi thanks for the request i could take it to wa, for 950 i will be in la on tuesday then makeing my way back north let me know i will place my bid Thanks LBTransport (2/17/2008)
Response: Could you put off trip for a week? Need to have a driver/broker meet you there with papers. Randy (2/19/2008)
Response: I could do that but what work better is if i could pick it up when im down there on wensday then i could store it at my house in portland, oregon at no charge till you were ready i have to be in seattle around the 2nd or 3rd of march just a little longer then a week let me know soon so i can place my bid and take a min to check out my profile Thanks Leroy (2/19/2008)
Response: Leroy - timing issue isn't at my end but at dealer's. Just bought the unit (put $1K deposit) this past Friday and they're sending me all final sale docs by Fedex to be received today or tomorrow. Then I sign, wire balance, and do the importation 72-hour dance from there. That's why pickup in LA next week is necessary. Does that work for you? Randy (2/19/2008)
Response: K im only going to be in la for a day.let me know when it's ready and i can see what i can do.Thanks Leroy (2/19/2008)
Response: Can you bring to Calgary next week? (2/19/2008)
Question: thks for your bid request i just got back from out east and imported a 4 runner for another customer in calgary last weekend so you could inquire about my excellent service i did all the importation paperwork as well as delivered to calgary and the cost was 2000.00 plus importation costs gst/excise/and duty if vehicle wasnt manufactured on north american soil by the time you pay a shuttle and a broker which charge approx 300-350 for one time customers you will save substantially doing an all inclusive delivery and also makes thgs much less complicated so similar distance so i would think similar money let me know asap so i can possibly help you out and ill look for some other work as well thks mo-jkm trucking (2/17/2008)
Response: Want to do some business, but just FYI max bid received, besides yours, is 1322. Can you beat/match? Rather give biz to a fellow Canadian. Randy (2/17/2008)
Response: it isnt so much if i can find a suitable load its one going to be along the way and fit into timelines and schedules plus mileage and time spent dealing with first u.s customs then cdn. customs as sometimes they get real uptight and cause more grief than anythg like the one last week at emerson, manitoba trying to do someone else's job and asking too many questions that werent required as if i didnt know what i was doing but that is for another day unless i find something suitable my price would be the same fuel doesnt chg and we all travel the same highways so just be cautious as cheaper doesnt necessarily mean better as was the case of the fellows 4-runner as he had already paid a previous shipper with no delivery and guy was driving vehicle around as if it was his plus if you figure your costs for brokerage and shuttle service to import you most likely are going to be same amount or more plus a lot of confusion of who is doing what and when (2/17/2008)
Response: ill do 1500.00 to chilliwack with you still being responsible for import fees but will do the importation on your behalf and then it can stay as long as needed till you come and pick up which you can fly into abbotsford for 89.00 from calgary if you watch as it happens frequently (2/17/2008)
Response: Broke my back in 3 places before Christmas. Still mending. Do you have any short haul budies that could get 'er here? And, how about 1100 to Chilli? (2/17/2008)
Response: sorry cant do it the other quotes you have are for delivery to the border with you still having to set up brokerage which would put you in the same neighbourhood as my quote (2/17/2008)
Response: Hey back - What is your estimate of the brokerage and other fees? RJ (2/18/2008)
Response: im working your vehicle froma couple angles to try and help you out i have a broker lady who sets up lots of my loads from bellingham and brings them to sumas or bellingham for me and then i can get it to you from there or here but wont know from her till the a.m. so she can confirm where her trucks are located, as for mine im still trying to do some juggling to help you out and i may even take care of this personally, brokerage usually runs anywhere from 250.00 to 400.00 depending upon who you use for 1 time or first time customer however if i do the paperwork i save you all that extra expense and hassle as i just input all the info and process just like i do for all my own equipment all that will be needed is the original paperwork which i assume will accompany the vehicle plus an authorization from you in the form of a description of the vehicle and stating that i am acting on your behalf in regards to importation of described vehicle hope this helps thks mo-jkm trucking (2/18/2008)
Response: Outstanding, Mo. Many thanks. I'm quite a rookie at this, having only done it once - matter of fact, precisely a year ago when I brought up the Rover from Texas that I just totaled before Christmas. It wasn't insured for collision, either; was going to do it that same afternoon, but that bastard "Murphy" beat me to it. Now, as said, still nursing busted 3 vertabrae (T-10 was pretty much vaporized) 5 ribs, cracked solar plexis, a 4th concussion but amazingly no lacerations. Police and med staff swear the Land Rover saved my life - which is why I'm replacing it with same. Can't drive yet, but couldn't miss this deal as it's cash out of pocket, not insurance $. Rough start to the year. Don't get me wrong - I'm no whiner; just want you to know why I'm trying to squeeze every dime (not normally my style) and why I appreciate what you're doing. Again, thanks. Look forward to hearing from you. Will hold off anyone else. Randy (2/18/2008)
Response: ok randy thks what would you thk about if i cant get it onto one of my trucks about if i just fly dn and thn drive her back up might be an option to consider if all else fails but it would only be myself not one of my drivers or outside contractors it may get your vehicle to you sooner rather thn ltr. just somethg to chew over for you but i will know something a little latr this morning for you thks mo-jkm trucking (2/18/2008)
Response: Hey Mo - I've had a couple offers for Driveaways at $1100 inc. fuel. Thing is, I just don't like the idea of all the added klicks - at least from LA to the border. Sweetgrass -> Calgary I don't mind. Best offer to the border thus far is 950. (2/18/2008)
Response: hey randy cant compete with that if you would rather go that way i understand you are not going to hurt my feelings about it you have to do what works for you and i have told you what it is going to cost as i stated previously i dont slash and hack the rate it costs what it costs we all buy the same fuel and drive the same highway cheaper doesnt necessarily mean better just be carefull guys hacking the rate to get a job are cutting corners somewhere and i dont and wont do it to get a job my reputation speaks for itself and if you contact my most recent customers im sure they will attest and confirm my claims thks mo-jkm trucking (2/18/2008)
Question: Blaine Wa (2/17/2008)
Question: hey randy i may still be able to get it to calgary for you but it is still going to cost you the 2000.00 cdn and you would need to let me know asap so i could try to put everythg in order thks mo-jkm trucking (2/17/2008)
Question: Good Morning Sir ~ I can pick up your vehicle and deliver to Blaine or Sweet Grass, what would your preference be? I have interstate authority and cargo coverage at no additional cost to you. Awaiting your reply. (2/18/2008)
Response: I anxiously await your bid, guys. To Calgary, preferred, or MT. Your offer? (2/18/2008)
Question: Thanks for the bid request. I don't plan on being on the west coast real soon, but if I do get out there and if you are still interested I could get the Rover to Calgary for you for $2500. Thanks, Jay(wildfiretransport) (2/18/2008)
Response: Hi Jay - Thansk for your reply. Your's is steepest quote yet; 25% higher than highest in fact. Can you compete at $1500? (2/18/2008)
Response: I could not do it for $1500. I could go to $2300 at lowest. Thanks, Jay(wildfiretransport) (2/18/2008)
Question: Sorry to hear about your accident. I sure can see why your prefer a Land Rover......I can bring her all the way into Calgary but not for $1,000. I wish you a speedy recovery..... (2/18/2008)
Response: If not for $1000, how much to Calgary? Thanks Randy (2/24/2008)
Question: hey randy its mo do you still need this done i can problably get it done this week for you and you would have it late in the week or on the weekend let me know asap and ill put the wheels in motion thks mo-jkm trucking (2/18/2008)
Response: Mo - Final papers coming Fedex tomorrow. Thus, this week is tight - unless you know a way to expedite. (2/18/2008)
Response: is the dealership going to have the original title and copies of the sales contract or do you all you need is a copy to fax to u.s. cutoms at least by tomorrow afternoon for a friday crossing whichever crossing i go to as long as it is done tomorrow what i would most likely do is fax to a couple different crossings to cover my bases as then whichever i cross at would have the necessary 72 hours just a little trick ive learned on how to deal with us customs canadian customs doesnt matter i can cross anytime as long as i have taken to us side mon-fri 8-4 let me know if this might work for you and ill se what i can figure out thks mo-jkm trucking (2/18/2008)
Question: hey randy ill submit the bid and if you accept we can work out the details if not no prob ill refocus on the other couple i have hanging around thks mo-jkm trucking (2/18/2008)
Response: Mo - Your charge from Blaine, WA through to Calgary late next week?? (2/19/2008)
Response: tht would most likely not be possible unless i drive it thr myself and then fly home i would thk you would be looking at about 1250.00 all inclusive as i dont have anyone available to go to thr from blaine from sumas would be better than blaine let me know as i would just go straight thru as soon as it lands just long enough to check on my house in chilliwack on my way thru thks mo-jkm trucking (2/19/2008)
Question: Hello. Will be in LA on Wednesday. Could pick up then. Can transport to your front door in Calgary. I have a broker we can use in Coutts if you don't already have one in place. This would be loaded onto an open flat deck trailer. Let me know if interested. Thanks. Jeremiah (2/19/2008)
Response: Timeline tight by days. Please advise cost and if possible at a later date? Cheers - Randy (2/19/2008)
Question: Thank you for your request, but I will not be in the N until after June. Good Luck, James, ng112905 (2/19/2008)
Question: hey randy what might make thgs better for you is if i get it here to chwk. for the 1500.00 thn perhaps stick it on a carrier from annacis transport terminal to calgary might work for you (2/19/2008)
Question: hey randy im going to need an idea as to what you are thking quickly so i can run up an itinerary otherwise i have to forego your vehicle and do the other jobs i have as back up to yours let me know asap thks mo-jkm trucking (2/19/2008)
Question: Sorry-Canada is like North America to us. We don't move anything unless it is for Export out of North America.. (2/19/2008)
Question: hey randy do you still need this done???????????? thks mo-jkm trucking (2/24/2008)
Response: How close to home can you get and for what price again? (2/24/2008)
Response: hey randy sorry to hear about your problems hope everything works out for you i dont have any trucks down in the area so i was thinking of flying down and checking out a couplddealer auctions while i was down there and then just driving your discovery back to chilliwack the best i could do is 1500.00 to me and i may be able to set something up to get it to you in calgary for the 2000.00 i originally told you depending if i get all my affairs in order before i go south let me know what you think as before i go i would need all necessary authorizations from you as well as paperwork faxed to the crossing i ultimately use plus i would need to pick up a insurance binder to cover your vehcile for the trip all inclusive of the cost of course you would need to pay your GST/Excise taxes which we can figure quite closely beforehand based on the current exchange rate and could do final settlement upon arrival after all paperwork is completed let me know asap thks mo-jkm trucking (2/24/2008)
Response: Again - I do not want it driven. Have had lots of offers for driveaway to Calgary for a maximum of $1100 including gas/expenses. Only way I'd want 3000 km put on it was if I were to be making a leisurely driving holiday out of it - which I would've if I could've. But I cannot. Other transporters (solid referals) to Calgary are in at under $1400 to my door. Guess we should call it a day. Thanks for your time. (2/24/2008)
