Question: We have a drop off in Atlanta tomorrow (2/7) and anticipate being there before noon. could be to you tomorrow afternoon/evening if things could be arranged that quickly. I will submit my bid and if accepted we can work out the details over the telephone. Thanks (2/6/2009)

Response: the dogs are at Lazy S Kennel in Carnesville - she is on the internet = then they come to me in Pa - What time would you be there, What time would you be here or (I am in near Mullica Hill but in PA) to my vet in Mullica Hill New Jersey as he is only open on Friday until 5 pm and open on Saturday until noon.
Otherwise what you describe is the timeframe I am looking for - these are rescue dogs and I do not have tons of money but I do need them transported up here.
Terry (2/6/2009)

Response: Oh, didn't realize they were coming out of rescue. If the kennel they are at are willing to work with our schedule as well as we would be able to drop them off either at your home or the vet's when we arrive we could lower our price to $400. Let me know ASAP so that I can make sure and include the two locations on our trip. As I mentioned in a prior posting we should be Atlanta about noon -1:00 tomorrow and then would pick up about 1 1/2 hours after that. We do have one stop in Roanoke VA but then would be directly up to you probably late Saturday night or early Sunday morning. Let me know! (2/6/2009)

Response: The kennel at which they are currently is being a bit difficult - one of the reasons for the move. The owner of the Kennel Sue emailed me earlier this evening about only picking up in her hours "(i.e. Monday through Friday - 9 am - 5 pm; Saturdays 9:30 am - 12:30 pm)." so I am not sure that your schedule can work around her. It is a shame because most kennels are happy to do so.
I would love for it to happen so but she is doing me no favors right now. I have had a number of complaints about her and I really would like to have them out but I do not think she will be "helpful" and fit your schedule I used another transporter out of there last weekend and she was very difficult to them. I got the dogs out but just because the transporter was very professional about it.

Response: Oh my, that is terrible news. Unfortunately we would have to be able to pick up when we arrive as we do have other passengers and people expecting us and if the women at the kennel is not willing to budge on her schedule sounds like we will not be able to assist. It never ceases to amaze me how there are those out there unwilling to work with others that are just trying to help these animals. Good luck in getting these two out of there! (2/7/2009)

Response: Life and its hurdles huh?
Thank you for trying and have a good trip.

Question: Do you still need the dogs moved? I'll work within your price range and time schedule. (2/6/2009)

Response: yes they still need to be brought up here. The Kennel is not open Sunday she just told me that tonight and only open until 1230 Saturday. She is a little tough to work with - sorry. Lazy S Kennel in Carnesville GA.
These are rescue dogs. I am a non profit rescue. Probably though they would have to be picked up Monday and brought up for delivery Tuesday kind of - does that work for you? I don't have much to spend but realize time is money too so I thought if there were other payers too it could be affordable for us.............
Terry (2/6/2009)

Response: I understand that you don't have much to spend. Times are tough and I'm willing to work with you. I am trying to get other shipments on board (Which will reduce your cost. Also I normally don't reduce costs but I'm consider this a discount since you are a non profit rescue facility.) I may have another puppy to go to NJ that will need to be picked up tomorrow and if need be I could stay in a motel until these two could be attained. (2/6/2009)

Response: Where would you be coming from? Lazy S is in Carnesville GA nearer to the SC border. If you pick up them then the other pup you might be able to get mine before 1230 tomorrow. But that depends upon where you are starting I guess and where the other pup is.
Terry (2/6/2009)

Response: I'd be coming from South Florida. The other pup is in Georgia as well. (2/6/2009)

Response: You sound like you would be a good plan as long as the price is right but because the kennel is in Northernish GA and the other pup is likely in South GA you would either have to pick up the other guy really early and then mine by 1230 or you would have to stay over until Monday morning to pick up my guys in Carnesvlle. It does not bother me but might not work for your schedule.
Terry (2/6/2009)

Response: We can be flexible. What would be a price you could work with? Also I would need a day or two to coordinate with the other dog owner as well. (2/6/2009)

Response: Well on multiple dog transports which it does not sound like you are doing to the same extent it is usually averaging about $100 per dog, which is what the rescue budgeted for here. I was thinking a couple hundred or so.
You don't have as many dogs but then you don't have to rent a van which guzzles gas either I guess - so I am not sure what is realistic for what you drive and where you are going. Is your other dog coming to pa? Further? Less or more gas and tolls is the reason for my qustion.
Monday for their pickup with delivery for Tuesday or soomthing like that would be fine.

Terry (2/6/2009)

Response: I've yet to hear back from the other owner but I think I could work with 200 as of now. Can I let you know in the morning? (2/6/2009)

Response: sounds good - I will be here. (2/7/2009)

Response: I've not heard back from him yet. (2/7/2009)

Response: I will check back - just let me know.
T (2/7/2009)

Response: I will do that, thank you. (2/7/2009)

Response: Any news? (2/7/2009)

Response: No, but I'm working on getting a contract approved to haul a boat north from Florida. (2/7/2009)

Response: By when do you think you will know when and whether you are coming?
Terry (2/7/2009)
