Additional Information: Note that I have won this auction. Another shipper had the job but couldn't get the item. I now need to have this item removed Thursday February 8th. In the worst case, it could be picked up Saturday February 10. If not then, it has to wait till March. This Elliptical Trainer is located in a basement in Canfield, OH. There is 1 flight of stairs involved. The shipper must come with 2 or more people to move the item. I have disassembly instructions from Lifefitness that I can fax or email to the shipper. The delivery is to East Longmeadow, MA. I can reassemble once it is delivered. Owner in Ohio will not be able to help at all.

Response: My potential eBay seller says: February 10th is fine. Please let your shipper know that this is a large heavy machine and impossible for 1 person to move it alone -- also there is a flight of steps involved. Neil says price range is open at this time. If the price is too high, I won't bid on the machine, and if low, I can bid higher on the machine. I'm still thinking that it may be advantageous to take it apart. How many people do you have? 4 or 5 I think would be necessary to move it in it's entirety.1/30/2007

Response: The weight should be correct (from Lifefitness). I must be a weakling. I can lift about 100 pounds tops. 2 guys, 240 pound unit, flight of stairs, and that makes it 120 pounds each (and the guy on the bottom will get the worse end of the deal). I think that you'll want to disassemble part of the unit to make it lighter and less awkward. Remember this is in a basement. Seller (in Canfield) will not be able to help load at all.1/31/2007

Response: I will accept the best bid after the auction ends tomorrow. The seller requires that the shipper pick up in a short time period (IE that they don't want a time frame from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM to pick up. They want a more exact time. Response: Hello Uboxit, I had hired a shipper who has problems (can't get ahold of him) and if you can do this job in the timeframe specified (Thursday or Saturday) and be reliable, I will pay just about whatever you want (within reason). I can't believe that you are requesting my bid again-like I originally stated, I traveled by your pickup location and now I will be in MA delivering Feb 9-10th. YOU SHOULD HAVE ACCEPTED MY BID-I SUBMITTED IT MORE THAN ONCE. I hear this all the time "my shipper didn't show up" everyone tries to go cheap and this is what happens. How will you pay me-I get 1/2 at pickup and 1/2 at delivery (cash). Customers that can not pay cash at pickup will send me the money through PayPal in advance (this guarantees shipment) and the customer is responsible for all fees (Paypal and uship). Let me know if this works for you-I don't want any surprises.

Response: I can paypal you 1/2 now. I will pay you $450 total to do this. I won't pay the paypal fees or the uship charges. I also want your guarantee that you will get the item in time and tell me when you'll be there so I can tell the seller. I'm over a barrel, but I think the $450 price is fair. Response: Hello UBOXIT, I have had real problems with the non rated shippers of Uship. All don't communicate. I'm now on my last chance to get the machine. I need to have it moved on March 4th or March 5th. I have the following questions. 1. Can you do the job? 2. Will you be on time? No room for changing dates here. I lose everything this last time if the machine is not picked up. 3 What will you charge? 4. Can you communicate with me and the seller? Seems like a simple thing, but both the previous shippers were sorely lacking in this area. 5. I would need a guarantee that you could get the machine out on one of the dates mentioned above. 6. At this stage, I'm not interested in you competing with these other providers, I'm interested in reliability. The wife wants me to rent a uhaul and go out and get the machine.
