Question: Hello Shipper. Are you fairly flexible with your shipping date? We will have a truck in the area picking up another boat on the 20th of November. We are a transport company out of BC. Fully insured and well versed in cross border shipments. (11/4/2009)

Response: Hi,
I think I answered this before, but it is still on my unanswered questions list. Sorry if this is a repeat.
I am flexible on the delivery date.
Thanks (11/7/2009)

Response: We would require you to use a broker. They run around $175.00. I could refer you to one . I will submit a bid for your consideration. (11/7/2009)

Response: Thanks,
I'll watch for your bid (11/7/2009)

Response: Your length listed. Is it the overall lenght including tongue and motor? (11/7/2009)

Response: The boat is 21 feet. But including the swim grid and outboard leg it will be 23 feet. The dealer tells me the trailer has a swing away or removable tongue, so it shouldn't add much. So total will be 24 feet maximum. (11/7/2009)

Response: Just making sure of the deck space. We are bringing up a 30 foot sail boat to Maple Ridge. (11/7/2009)

Response: OK, from what I can tell the maximum length will be 24 feet, maybe a bit less. (11/7/2009)

Response: The driver says no problem. You boat will fit on the deck with the other one. Lorelei (11/7/2009)

Question: What daywould you prefer having this picked up next week? Thanks, JB (11/5/2009)

Response: I'm open. Any time in the next week is Ok.

Response: Sounds great! Did you prefer having it take all the way to Kelowna, or would you prefer to have it taken to the border, somewhere like Oroville? (11/6/2009)

Response: It all depends on the cost. Can you give me a quote for meeting at the border vs coming to Kelowna?
Thanks (11/6/2009)

Response: The only reason I ask is thif you meet at the border, you would provide them with the titles, fill the paperwork out yourself, and pay the GST. If I take it all the way to Kelowna, you would of course go through a broker and pay them to provide the titles, pay them to do the paperwork and the GST. Do you have a broker at the border? I can assist you with that if you need help. Going all the way to kelowna would only cost you about $100-$150 more. Please let me know what I can do to help you with this. Thanks again, JB (11/6/2009)

Response: I was wondering if Canada customs would let me fill something out in advance by fax so that the papers would be waiting when you get to the border.
Otherwise I guess the broker would be needed. In the past, when I've dealt with them, the cost always seems high. Do you know what the broker would charge?
Or,depending on what day it is, I could meet you at the border. (11/6/2009)

Response: Its always cheeper for my customers to meet me at the border so they don't have to pay the broker for what they can do for themselves...fill out paperwork! Would Oroville be the closest place to meet? is it Dr. Koss? Thanks, JB (11/6/2009)

Response: I'm starting to realize that it will be better for me to meet the boat at the border (Oroville). The problem is that I am only available on certain days. Yes, it is Dr. Koss, have we met before? Because of the swine flu "epidemic" I'm working way too many hours these days, so my time is limited. I could meet you at the border on Nov 11, or 19th. Or Nov 15th late in the day.
Thanks (11/7/2009)

Response: I am more than happy to meet you at the border on one of those days. I will make sure that the wheels are aired up to proper specs and that the wheel bearings are adequately greased to ensure the trailer will not have any issues while on the road. Also, I can also make sure the boat is winterized before heading north, just in case it freezes alon the way. Included in my services, I can also take a few photos of the boat confirming that it is picked up and enroute and send them to your phone or email. I will submit my bid shortly.
