Questions for this shipment:

Question: WHATS THE WIDTH HEIGHT AND LENGTH AGAIN I HAVE A 20FT MOVING TRUCK AND JUST WANT TO MAKE SURE THIS WILL FIT I MOVE THESE ON A DAILY BASIS MY MOVING TRUCK IS 20FT LENGTH 7.5 WIDTH AND 7.5 HEIGHT (10/30/2009)
Response: Total dimensions are about 10'L x 5'wide x 6' tall. Thanks, Steve (10/30/2009)
Question: HI, I rebid on your request, I lowered bid some but please keep in mine we are fully legal and insured to haul your tractor, I see you have a really low bid, if you go with it please make sure they have DOT# and MC# and have liabilty insurance (not just plain old car insurance) because if they wreck and your tractor causes damage to others YOU are responsible, and please make sure they have cargo insurance to cover your tractor, law requires 0ne millon liabilty and min 50,000 cargo THANK YOU KEN&KATHY (10/31/2009)
Response: Ken and Kathy, I appreciate your warning about the insurance. Thank-you for reconsidering your bid! Steve (10/31/2009)
Response: HELLO, I might have a back haul which would lower my bid please give me a few hours to see if I can make this work Thanks KEN&KATHY (11/2/2009)
Response: Ok. I would like to ship it by a fully insured carrier for 350 or less. That is my goal to be able to afford to buy it. (11/2/2009)
Question: Are you still looking to have this done? I'm trying to get this load figured out as asap. (11/2/2009)
Response: I am still looking to have this done, however, I would need evidence that you and the tractor will be covered by liability and comprehensive damage insurance. Do you have that? (11/2/2009)
Response: My commercial truck policy covers includes liability but not cargo damage. I can cover this under my own funds. If uship would let me post phone numbers I could give you plenty of phone numbers for references. I've hauled lots of equipment like this and never had any unsatisfied customers. Your tractor's location can be hard to get back hauls from, therefore giving you much higher bids. I'm running along that route and am just looking to cover some fuel cots. I hope you reconsider my bid. Thanks, Jeff. (11/2/2009)
Response: Jeff, I would like to work with you, However, if the tractor were to roll off the trailer and cause an accident, I would be liable for personal and vehicle damages. I would be willing to entertain your offer and pay up to $50 additional extra toward having you add a "one way trip" rider coverage on your current policy to cover $1M cargo liability and $50k damages/loss due to collision. Let me know if that is a possibility. (11/2/2009)
Response: My insurance policy would cover the tractor rolling off and causing damages to another person's property. It covers anything my vehicle, trailer, or cargo would to do anybody's property. The only thing not covered by my policy is damages to to the machine, like if a boulder hit the tractor I would personally have to cover that. Basically you would never be liable for anything your cargo does while being hauled by me. I talked to them about the rider for cargo and they can't do it. They don't provide "cargo" insurance covering other people's property, only cargo insurance for my personal property or that owned by my lawncare business. Thanks, Jeff (11/2/2009)
Response: Thanks for getting back to me on that Jeff. Can you send me a copy of your insurance policy to review. I need to compare it to other bids fairly and I would like to find out if my insurance co. can provide transport coverage under my homeowners that yours does not. Steve (11/2/2009)
Response: How would I get you a copy? Uship doesn't allow for any kind of information exchange for me to get email or fax to get you a copy. (11/2/2009)
Response: You can just update your company snapshot/profile on your Uship and add your current insurance coverage. Similar to like all the other bidders have. (11/2/2009)
Response: I've updated with my liability coverage. That will cover your tractor in the advent it would cause damage to something. An umbrella homeowner policy would most likely also cover it. (11/2/2009)
Response: Per my insurance co., it's not enough coverage to meet the minimum law requirement of $1m liability. Sorry. (11/2/2009)
Response: That $1M is running with DOT numbers. There is nothing for without DOT. I normally am just local with my mowing so I don't have one. Good luck though getting a hauler to do it for this price before the roads get salted. (11/2/2009)
Response: Thanks! (11/2/2009)
Question: Hi: SOunds like Ken and Kathy are the UShip insurance experts. Hopefully they don't scare shippers away but it sure looks like it here. The only thing I can state for fact is that if you have a DOT# and an MC# YOU ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE CARGO INSURANCE ... it ain't an option cause no cargo insurance ... no plates. So DOT# + MC# + Cargo Insurance = Vehicle Registration aka... plates for operating on the highway. In any case good luck with your shipment. I will monitor to see about placing a bid. (11/7/2009)
Response: Thanks for your insight. (11/8/2009)
