Questions for this shipment:

Question: it's over a 1250 mile haul. this is something i could do for you quickly but the cost would be 1250 inc u ship fee. thanks will (5/17/2005)
Response: Will, if you are still interested let me know and place a bid. Are you insured? Thanks, Eric (5/17/2005)
Question: I live in Franklin, TN, so if you are flexible enough to let me find a backhaul from NM, I can take your 5th Wheel for your target price. I pull new trailers and 5th wheels from the factories in IN, and anything hooked to my truck has $500,000 insurance. Don't you think you should get some insurance, though? (5/21/2005)
Response: I'll do it for the initial bid of $1000. I have $1250 prices coming out my ears. If you're still interested place a bid. I'd like to have it shipped ASAP. Sorry I didn't respond earlier, I was out. (5/21/2005)
Question: hi, i am still interested. what is the time frame you need it to go. i'd like to see if i could get something back this way. i'll start looking. thanks will (5/22/2005)
Question: Even though you have no other bids for $1250, the reason you think you do, is because that is what this haul is worth. Like "wethereyet", I will keep looking for backhauls, and if any come up, maybe I will resubmit a bid, but I already have another haul for this week, so it won't be right away. (5/23/2005)
Response: No! the reason I think I do is because I've had several quotes from various shipping companies all in the $1200-$1400 range. I don't deny that the haul is probably a $1200 haul you have to make money. But, it's a decision for me to just go pick it up myself for $400 or pay an additional $800 for someone else. (5/23/2005)
Question: I hate to throw cold water on your plan, but no matter how small a pickup you drive, a 2500 mile round-trip will cost at least $625 in fuel alone, and that doesn't even begin to account for the wear-and-tear, and the value of your time. Be patient, and maybe someone can find a backhaul that will make it worth pulling your trailer for your target price. (5/23/2005)
Response: Sorry, I'm really not trying to argue but I do get 20mi/ gal and at 2400 mi that's 120 gallons. My gas out here is $2.10/gal. That is about $252. Now I'm rounding way up due to the haul back but I think I'm way in the ballpark. The wear and tear on the truck. Well, that is what I'm trying to avoid. Bye the way what do you get about 8 mi/gal? (5/23/2005)
Question: i am still interested in going. what is the timeframe?? think i will have return trip locked up in a day or so. want to leave right after memorial day weekend if all works out. thanks will (5/23/2005)
Response: Will, that's perfect timing. The RV will be ready to go. With a return pull can you get a little closer to my price? p.s. this will be a cash in hand offer at delivery. Make a bid Thanks, Eric (5/23/2005)
Question: Eric, I average about 10 mpg, between empty and loaded. Remember - You are going up hill from the Miss. river to Albuquerque. You will be lucky to get 1/2 your regular mileage, but it looks like wethereyet may get it done for you. (5/23/2005)
Response: I'm sure it's a bit more than what I'm anticipating. I haul heavy equipment around all the time but long hauls are rare on my truck. What are you pulling with anyways? Eric (5/23/2005)
Question: hi eric, i think i have found a couple items that need to go to knoxville before i head over to nashville. so that part looks good. i am still working on my return trip. i can not commit to you until i know i have something decent to get me back. otherwise i work for nothing. as far as lowering my price i can not do that either. i will also require a 50% deposit before i head to TN and the balance upon arrival. if that works for you i'll probably drop in my bid in a day or 2. thanks will (5/23/2005)
Response: This still makes it a hard decision for me. The 50% up front is fine. But the 1250 is a tough deal. If I find you a decent return will you lower my shipping? Where do you want the return to go. I know some car dealers that might be interested. Eric (5/23/2005)
Question: Eric, I pull with a Ford F-350 with a V-10 gas engine. So far, gas is still cheaper than diesel, but don't know for how long. What kind of truck, that is big enough to pull your new 5th wheel, do you have, that gets 20 mpg? (5/24/2005)
Response: I have the Duramax. Even though the diesel is a bit higher, it pays for itself with a heavy load. But, as I said I don't do long hauls with loads so I really don't know the mileage over a long period of time. Thanks (5/24/2005)
Question: yes, that would work. i am only 250 higher then you want to be but it is totally your decission. i also know that the longer i wait the more chance of somebody grabbing the haul from me. seems like this site is full of cut throats. hard to make a buck here. i hope to make my bid by the close of the day. thanks for being patient w/ me. it will be worth it in the long run. will (5/24/2005)
Response: Sorry Will, Dan got the deal! Eric (5/24/2005)
Question: no sweat, i appreciate the heads up. good luck!! thanks will (5/24/2005)
