Response: I can have the kayak ready anytime. I just need to know how you want it packed. Have never done this before so I am in the dark. Can the kayak just go as is? and I can put it's 'accessories' in one large box? Also, I haven't the slightest idea what shipping costs. Thanks, Ken (9/16/2009)
Response: Yes, it can go as-is with me, no need for you to do any prep. If you look in my feedback profile, recently I hauled a 18 ft. vintage canoe 1900 miles from Philadelphia to northern Colorado, and charged the man around $500. I would invert the kayak, set it on thick pads, then soft-strap it down to the trailer. The box of oars, life vests, etc., would go inside my truck for transit. Your trip is about 500 miles less than the other one, but your pick and drop points are a little off the 'beaten path' and that adds time. Will send a bid now. Thanks for considering & any reply.
