Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hello KTM Owner; I will headed to Blaine Wash. Nov14th We have a enclosed trailer able to do it for $600. Thanks TruckingRFD (11/7/2009)
Response: The ktm won't be realeased from the first owner till about the 20th of november. (11/8/2009)
Question: can transport this for you - pick up approx 11/24. enclosed trailer to California, enclosed pick up the rest of the way. Is the atv going into Canada? If so, easy to meet at your convenience - Seattle is home - not a stop on a route. Check our feedback - you can expect the same good service. (11/16/2009)
Response: Hi seattledriver. I would like to be able to give you the contract but the bank has not yet released the cheque to the seller. yes the atv is coming to canada and meeting at the border or leaving at a storage facility would work. I will contact you as soon as seller gives the go ahead to see if you are still in the area and if you still have room. brugge (11/16/2009)
Response: hi brugge. thanks for the response. The timing might be perfect - Frank is headed east to pick up a trailer in Georgia and was hoping to pick this up on the way home. Pick up would be about a week from now - we'd meet you at the border at your convenience. If the current bid expires before you're ready to accept, I'll rebid - we'd really like to bring this home to you. Feel free to ask any questions. (11/17/2009)
Response: Hi seattledriver I am answering between power outages since we sre getting one windy front after coming in. As you probably know I have to bring the atv across during business hours and I am coming from Vancouver Island about 6 hours from border but only short distance from ferry terminal so very easy to plan a time within 15 minutes of arrival. The texas bank has had my draft for 3 business days now and the cheque should clear by the end of the week. This is taking longer than either me or the seller anticipated. Iwill keep you posted. (11/17/2009)
Response: yup - it's been blowing here too - but the power is still on. would Port Angeles work better for you? Shorter trip and you might be able to leave your vehicle in Victoria. Do you live in Victoria? I was born there and spent a lot of time in Sooke. Pick up no problem - we can get it going east if it's ready or we can get it heading west - going through Dallas both directions. (11/17/2009)
Response: My first reaction is a chuckle as this is a very loud an fast atv built for performance and I would be carrying 8 spare paddletires over my shoulder but it might work with a little help from the staff. I travelled with them twice this summer and found them very helpfull. I will look into this as this may be a fit. I am from Port Alberni. (11/17/2009)
Response: Nanaimo sounds closer - but it's nice to have choices. Whatever works for you will be fine for us. Even though we prefer delivery in person (fun to meet shippers) - dropping at a storage facility can work too. (11/17/2009)
Response: Yes nanaimo probably will work better and i would settle for a storage facility but would prefer an in person transfer. I can not actually accept your bid untill the bank clears the cheque and that was supposed to happen last week. The bid is yours if the cheque clears on time for us to put this together. Brugge (11/17/2009)
Response: well the bank is enjoying your money but they'll turn it loose eventually! Our last two Canadian deliveries were on the Canadian Thanksgiving weekend - met at 8 am to avoid the border traffic and fit in with family dinners. Looking forward to transporting for you. Thanks for answering all my questions so quickly. (11/17/2009)
Question: hello brugge I will be coming from SEATTLE WA to ROUND ROCK TX on 11/19/09 and will be heading back to SEATTLE WA with empty truck. I'm able to do it for $550. I can pick up the QUAD any date between 11/19/09 and 11/24/09. The company is based in Seattle, so we can deliver it at any time for your convenience. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. John. "bestmovinganddelivery" (11/17/2009)
Response: I cannot seem to find any feedback on you. My bank draft has not cleared the texas bank yet [this is taking longer then either me or seller anticapated] and may take longer than your 11/24/09 return date. I would want to see some feedback and I will keep looking, we have had a nomber of power outs here {one lasted 24 hrs} with more storms coming, which is not making it any easier. (11/17/2009)
Response: I have recently signed up for Uship. We are seattle based company which provides local and long distance moving and delivery service. When are you looking to ship Quad?? or/and When paperwork will clear?? Thanks. Please feel free to contact me with any questions. John... "bestmovinganddelivery" (11/17/2009)
Response: hi John My power keeps flicking out but here goes again. The paperwork is in hands of the bank and the new date for it to clear is the 24th or later so this probably won't work. thanks for looking. (11/17/2009)
Question: Hi Brugge, Just checking in to let you know we are in the Dallas area headed EAST. Will be back about Tues or Wed. headed WEST. Hope you have a good weekend (with power). You might want to reconsider the Victoria - Port Angeles trip - good for comic relief. When I told Frank about the mental picture of you driving on with an ATV and 8 tires, he laughed so hard (good thing he wasn't driving). (11/19/2009)
Response: It would probably be worth a picture with me having a little bit of gray hair left and maybe I could tie the extra wheels on behind like honeymooners and tin cans. Jeff from texas checked his bank this morning to see if he could learn anything but got nowhere. He is going to try again Friday morning with the girl he normally deals with. They said they should know by the 26th but no gaurantees. My fingers are crossed. How long approximately to get to the border. Tom V. (11/19/2009)
Response: not sure how long to the border - I've given up on predicting. Crystal ball is in the shop - never was working right anyway. Picking up the trailer in Georgia on Monday then headed west. Figuring 6 days from GA to CA - then Frank heads north. Should be home first week in December. Picking up on the 26th works - bet you can't wait to get your new toy! (11/20/2009)
Response: that would roughly mean getting to Blaine between Dec 7th to 11th The border crossing authorities are only open business hours monday to friday and the two storage companies I have talked to are the same I hope this won't be a problem. For me before dec 5th is doable and after dec 7th is no problem. I grow and sell christmas trees and it is quite busy before Dec 5th but not impossable. I can find a way to get my new toy home but will I be able to leave it alone till I have time to play. Tom V. (11/20/2009)
Response: Hi Tom. Timing sounds perfect for delivery - you let us know what works best for you and we'll be there. We'll hold it here til you're ready. Wow! bet you're crazy busy these days. By the way, the 26th is Thanksgiving in US so hope the bank's completed the transaction before then. (11/20/2009)
Response: It is busy but I have been doing it for a while and it's pretty well under control. Snow is the only thing that can cause things to go sideways. Yes I really hope so as well because I think we have a good fit. The 26th leaves us 4 more business days for the bank to get on with it and I have my fingers crossed. I will have to figure out ahead of time how to give you his address and phone number so that you can get in touch. He already knows you may be coming on the 26th and we should start getting an exsact time by tues. (11/20/2009)
Response: Suggestions: 1. contact your bank to see if there's anything they can do to expedite the transaction. 2. Have the seller contact his bank (again) to see if they will accept a fax or verbal confirmation from your bank confirming validity of the check. 3. See if the seller will accept confirmation from your bank and release the atv before the check clears. As soon as you accept our bid, we get contact information of origin and you. We like that information ahead of time but we've done more than one where we arrived before the payment or got a bid accepted at the last minute. My concerns: that the check won't clear before the 26th or that we'll be trying to pick up on Thanksgiving when contact could be difficult. But Frank is flexible - he always figures it out. Buy it will be easier when we can communicate outside this forum. By the way, if you don't have an open link here, you can also ask questions on the actual bid. (11/20/2009)
Response: seller is going to his bank today to see if there is anything that can be done. [his idea] I will pass along your suggestions and see where it goes. The cheque was given to the bank friday 13th and it was only going to take 5 to 7 banking days to clear so by rights it should be done tues at the latest. (11/20/2009)
Response: Thanks, Tom. I'm sure the timing's going to be fine. And don't worry about delivery - Frank will be home and it will be easy to meet at your convenience. Appreciate you being so cautious. Notice that the bid is set to expire on Sunday - if it does, I'll just rebid - no problem. Lois (11/20/2009)
Response: Jeff the seller was at the bank friday and was told that the cheque would clear tues evening and he would hear wednesday morning. He could be available before noon or after 9:00 pm. on the 26th. Would it be okay for me accept your bid so that you can talk to him directly and then if for some reason the cheque does not clear on time I just cancel the bid and relist. I would pay on delivery unless otherwise advised. Tom. (11/22/2009)
Response: Hi Tom, Sounds perfect. As far as pickup, Frank will make it work - you won't have to cancel. Having direct access to the seller will definitely make it easier. Cash on delivery is preferred but we're flexible. thanks! Lois (11/22/2009)
Response: Yes I can make it cash on delivery and I will now accept your bid. (11/22/2009)
