Question: I never have shipped a aircraft and I would like to give it a try being honest on my end could this be hauled on a open trailer Let me know your thoughts about this Thanks Mike (SRT) (10/13/2009)

Response: Hello Mike,Yes the Kitfox can be hauled on A open trailer. Thanks,Jim (10/13/2009)

Response: Would you be comfortable letting a novice at any type of planes ship for you and would you also have a target price in mind (10/13/2009)

Response: I haven no problem with you hauling my plane,as long as it is secured properly and have the proper insurance. My target price is 800.00 dollars
Thanks,Jim (newttrkwa) (10/13/2009)

Question: Hello Jim, I've hauled lots of Ultralights as well as Parachute planes in the past. I can do this for 1200. Let me know if this might work for you. Thanks, Jay (10/13/2009)

Response: Hello Jay,The Kitfox Series 3 is not a ultralight. It is a light sport aircraft.I was hoping for 1000.00 dollars with a stop in L.A. Thanks Jim (10/13/2009)

Response: Thanks for the response. Best I can do is 1200. for this one. Whats the stop in LA for? Thanks, Jay (10/18/2009)

Response: Hello Jay.The stop in LA is for a 60# box of parts, and a tow bar for the Kitfox from the original owner.
When do you think you could haul it.Do you have a enclosed trailer? Thanks Jim (newttrkwa) (10/19/2009)

Question: I could load your plane as early as this weekend and deliver in 2-3 days. I specialize in personal attention to service, as service is all I have to sell. I am DOT/MC compliant, meaning I have all the legally required credentials and insurance to perform this interstate transport. I have an ACTIVE MC #, which is REQUIRED to transport interstate for hire. Click my username and read my profile. Click on my posted DOT/MC # to see verification of those numbers. On my profile, you can also read comments from previous customers. You will not be disapointed in the level of service I provide. You will always deal directly with me, the owner/driver, never a broker or middleman. My trailer is single level, so nothing will be above your plane to fall or drip. $995 gets you safe, legal, worry free, door to door transport. Let me know soon, and I will submit a formal bid, and get this done for you. Thanks, Rick (10/20/2009)

Response: Hello Rick. Can you make a stop in L.A. to pick up a box of parts & a towbar also?If you can,the price sounds good, submit me a formal bid. Thanks Jim (newttrkwa) (10/21/2009)

Response: Jim, Could you please clarify all the dimensions of this plane? Exactly where in LA is the extra stop? Rick (10/21/2009)

Response: Rick,The dimensions on the kitfox are-
21' long,7'10" wide,4'7" wheel tread width,12'11"wheel base from main gear to tail wheel,68.5" high.Palmdale is where the stop in Cal.is. If its to far out of the way,we can have him meet you with the parts.Jim (10/21/2009)

Response: Jim, I would love to transport your plane for you, and you would not be disappointed with the level of service I provide. The stop in Palmdale would not be a problem. I could load the plane on Monday and have it to you in 3 days. The only problem is that I based my cost quote on the mistaken thought that the 12' 11" was the total length and that I could also haul a car on the same load to share the cost. My trailer is perfect for your plane, as it has 30' of flat deck, 5' of sloped deck, and 6' ramps, so loading and unloading would be a simple matter. So with all that said, and with this site taking their cut, and fuel prices rising dailey, the best I could do this for would be $1200 COD. If that is acceptable to you, let me know, and I will get this done for you. One more question: is the width of 7' 10" include the wings, or are they removed and loaded separately? Thanks, Rick (10/22/2009)

Response: Rick,There is 4'3" past the wheels on each end of the plane,if you could let that much hang over one end of your trailer perhaps you would have room for a car also. The width,7'10" is with the wings attached and folded back. The plane is not very heavy,(500 lbs)so it should be easy to load and tie down.Jim (10/22/2009)

Response: Jim, That is a good idea, but I could only overhang about 18" and that would not be enough to make a difference. Did I mention that I am covered with 100K in commercial cargo insurance at no additional cost to you? Rick (10/22/2009)
