Questions for this shipment:
Question:
if this can be picked up tomorrow and delivered thursday I can do it for 296.00 jim (7/7/2009)
Response:
Absolutely but..Do you have insurance? License? Whatever? Looked at the pictures on your site. Do you actually haul in that little trailer? (7/7/2009)
Response:
your mower is 5ft long and 34 inches wide.........you want a tractor trailor?????????? (7/7/2009)
Response:
I'm interested in the license and insurance please. (7/7/2009)
Question:
Can this be loaded in the back of my pickup? Legal carrier. I'm in Interlaken, NY now with just my pickup. Would need to pickup today (7/8/2009)
Response:
If you have a ramp or some way to get it there, sure. (7/8/2009)
Question:
Hello. Below is my bid for transporting your John Deere. After reviewing my bid, please click on my username ("Greyhound") located next to my bid. This will bring you to my U-ship "Profile page & feedback. While viviting my "Profile", please click on either of the blue numbers at the top-left of the page. Doing so will provide you with a "real-time" link to the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (U.S. Dept. of Trans.) This in turn will assist you in determining that I hold USDOT authority (license) to operate in interstate commerce as a LEGAL "for-hire" motor carrier. By scrolling down the FMCSA/USDOT page, link Uunder the "Cargo Carried" section, you will also be able to determine that my authority includes the transport of "motor vehicles" & "machinery/large objects". Best regards, "Greyhound" (Kelly Freight Services) (7/8/2009)
Response:
Sounds good to me, but was hoping to ship before they go on vacation on July 20. I'm contacting them to find out who will be there to accept delivery and give you the money. (7/8/2009)
Response:
Hello & thanks for your prompt response. I look forward to hearing from you with regard to if someone will be present at the pick-up point. Please remember that my dates are only approximations at this point, so I can't as yet pin it to any certain date. But I can assure you that transport WILL take place during the timeframe outlined within my bid. Best regards, Tony K. (7/8/2009)
Question:
Hello again. This is a continuation of my previous message. (I couldn't fit all this information into one message block.) To continue, if you scroll further dowmn the FMCSA/USDOT link-page, you will also be able to note that I do in fact have cargo insurance on file. Additionally, please note that I am registered as a Class 9 (non-bulk) hazardous material transporter, as required by federal regulations for transport of any internal combustion engine vehicle. Please don't take these messages to be "condescending" of the wisdom of a "Truck-Stop Lawyer"; it is just that I do this for a living & have to know the rules. I welcome any questions you may have. Best regards, Tony K. ("Greyhound"--Kelly Freight Services. 'A FULLY LICENSED, INSURED & PROFESSIPONAL MOTOR CARRIER") (7/8/2009)
Response:
Sounds good. They will arrange for someone to be there or leave a certified check or MO. Just need to pin down the dates now, right? What do I do now? (7/8/2009)
Response:
As long as you are sure you can work with the flexibility involved in the timeframe, all that is necessary now is to accept the bid. You will be asked to submit a small deposit through U-ship. The balance can be paid either at pick-up or upon delivery, as you choose. Then you will receive direct contact information about me & I about you. I'll then send you my USDOT paperwork & insurance documents. I'll keep an eye on this until it is resolved. Thanks so much!! Best regards, Tony K. (7/8/2009)
Response:
I can be flexible but would like to know when you get the dates finalized. And will you be able to narrow down the delivery date and time by the time it's picked up? Actually I did click "accept", twice in fact, but it still doesn't show up that way. (7/8/2009)
Response:
Hi & thanks for your reply. I would estimate the pick-up to be more along the lines of the 22nd or 23rd & would most likel;y have the delivery scheduled before I pick up. Please understand that my runs are multi-stop, which allows me to provide low prices, but unfortunately often creates a complex schedule. (But I generally manage to "git 'er done". ;-) I can't understand why the acceptance didn't go through. Have you contacted U-ship service (I/T Staff)? Best regards, Tony K. (7/8/2009)
Response:
Thanks, Tony. Guess if we're going to wait that long and they'll be on vacation that week anyway, a day this way or that won't matter all that much. I'll give it another go now that I've heard from you. (7/8/2009)
