Response: Just let me know when it can be picked up.I am leaving the area now and will return about saturday the 27th. If this works for you please let me know. I have already put a bid in for the machine, I can do it for the $564.00.IF I pick up the 27th i most likely wont deliver until that monday.If this a problem just leave me a message. Response: The Alcoa facility where the machine is was off for the holiday Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. I haven't talked to anyone yet and frankly I'm upset about it. I understand the backhoe runs and can be loaded under it's own power, but have not confirmed it. If you are in a position to pick it up on a back haul Monday AM maybe it will work. I will contact them 7:00AM and see what I can arrange. If Monday can't work, what can you do on other days next week. I have not accepted your bidf yet sincde I don't know when we can work it. I don't know how to contact Monday AM you under Uship rules. Can you access email Monday AM? (12/28/2008)

Response: I will be coming back through about tuesday after noon or wednesday morning. Most likely wednesday morning.Please let me know what you think.If it cant go up on its own power I cant do,,dont have a winch.But if it can no problem.I can take it all machine and all buckets.Would like to transport Thank You (12/28/2008)

Response: I found our the backhoe hasn't been started for some time and likely the battery is dead- may need replaced. I plan to line someone up to check it out tommorrow- don't know if I can get someone there tomorrow or not. If so, I will try to get to you. Thanks for hanging in there for me. The machine ran well and everything worked when it was last used. Personnel at the Alcoa facilty aren't able to help much. (12/29/2008)

Response: Happy New Year... I almost couldn't find a way to contact you because I don't have an open bid. Luckly I looked back and found this message that I hadn't responded to already... The backhoe runs good with a new battery. I will confirm tomorrow Jan 2 if a weekend pick-up can work- Aloca has securty on site and maybe they can allow it. If you confirm the following, I will accept a (new) bid. 1) pick up- if the weekend doesn't work, what is next opportunity date? 2) Do you plan to deliver the same or next day? 3) Delivery will be at my residence- will require driving the backhoe off trailer without a dock or other- is this your plan also? 4) I will expect proof of insurance- can you provice it (need to cover $13000). Response: The machine hasn't been started for a while- the contact person things the battery is likely dead- he can't offer much help. I am arranging a mechanic to look at it- hopefully today- I'm not holding my breath but I may get lucky. It may drag into next week. Thanks for hanging in there for me. (12/30/2008)

Response: The local John Deere dealer is line up to check it out hopefully tomorrow morning. I don't expect I can coordinate a pickup tomorrow with you wiht that kind of short notice. Apparently the Alcoa facility is closed Friday and so pick up can be Monday 1/5 earliest. If you want to try for tomorrow let me know, if you can schedule for Monday, let me know. (12/30/2008)
