Note: I just heard from the builder of my tractor (John at Tractor Connection) that it's assembled and running well. There are still a few glitches that still need to be worked out and worked on, but it is close to being ready to ship from Albany, Oregon to San Luis Obispo, CA. It is a Jimna Chinese tractor with a backhoe and front loader; I'm not sure of it's exact weight but it's at least 5000 lbs. Estimated pick up one or two weeks (late Jan-early Feb 07). Best bids to date are $600 to $700.

Questions for this shipment:

Question: Have you shipped your tractor? Does the tractor run? Any special considerations in hauling? Let me know Paul (8/26/2006)
Response: No the tractor has not shipped. It won't be ready to ship for about 2 months. Yes it will run; it's brand new. The dealer has offerred to deliver it himself for around $1000 but I'm looking for a better offer. Rene (8/27/2006)

Response: It's a Chinese tractor coming from China. I believe it has been shipped to the US but am still not sure when it arrives ... hopefully soon. Rene (10/18/2006)
Question: Hi, I am a single vehicle carrier. I use a 06 Ford F350 dually, My trailer is a Big Tex custom single vehicle trailer with a GVWR or 7000lbs, the trailer weighs 1800, that leaves a load of 5200lbs. I have moved a number of small classic tractors, i.e. Ford 8N, small farmall etc. I do have a load going from so Cal to Red wood City CA, soon (not sure when), I could then run on up to your pick up in Oregon and bring your tractor back. Please Check my driver profile and feedback. I am licenced and insured, I do have cargo insurance however am not sure how it would effect you tractor, I will check with my agent. Most car transporters just get insuarance from there own company, I provide $750,999. liability. If you are interested in my service, please leave a positive response to this uShip mail and I will confirm my north bound shipment and submit a formal bid. Thanks for the consideration. Jim "fearlessfossil" JAL (10/16/2006)
Question: Hi again, that Liability in $750,000.00. Don't know what happened. Jim "fearlessfossil" JAL (10/16/2006)
Response: It's a Chinese tractor coming from China. I believe it has been shipped to the US but am still not sure when it arrives ... hopefully soon. Rene (10/18/2006)
Question: Hi, just checking in to see if your tractor has arrived ? (10/17/2006)
Response: It's a Chinese tractor coming from China. I believe it has been shipped to the US but am still not sure when it arrives ... hopefully soon. Rene (10/18/2006)
Question: Hi there any word yet on youre tractor? Thank You Jimmy (10/24/2006)
Question: (10/24/2006)
Question: Hi there Jimmy Redline will be in that area the first part of November any word yet? Thank You "jimjim". (10/25/2006)
Response: Just got word that the tractor was supposed to arrive this week but still needs to be assembled and tested. Best bid so far is $700 (10/27/2006)
Question: Ok thank you for the update. Do you think this will be done before the 15th of November? If so I can do it for $700.00 because I will be in that area during that time frame. Thank You Jimmy Redline Auto & Farm Transport. Dont forget I can give references with a tractor company I haul for all the time. (10/27/2006)
Question: Oh yeah I read the advice from the policeman DOT authority just means Department Of Transportation. I am only required by law to have a Ca #. Sometimes these shippers get annoymous names through USHIP and they try to scare people away from the lowest bid so you will accept there bid. You do notice he has never answered you. That is because he wants to make a arm and a leg off of people. But not everyone is rich. Anyway hope it will bw done within the next three weeks so I can ship it for you. Thank You Jimmy Redline Auto & farm Transport. (10/27/2006)
Response: I just updated the information based on what my assembler just told me ... see note on the USHIP page. (11/8/2006)
Question: (10/27/2006)
Question: (10/27/2006)
Question: Hi there Mr.Policeman I do have all proper ins,Auth, and commercial license. I dont take youre advice as a insult. I dont know why you get so mad when someone as myself makes a simple remark to youre suggestion. However if you needed something shipped and someone made a comment like that and you didnt know anything about this stuff you cant say it would scare you away. And if you know so much about this stuff you would know that I dont have to have a DOT# I only have to have a Ca#.In order to recieve a CA# you have to carry insurance. Also you have to show proof on insurance when you get a CA#. I dont have to pull through scales either. The first load I ever hauled I went through a scale they officer pulled me in and asked what I was doing. He said I dont have to ever pull trough a scale in the United States. When I go to oregon or Washington I dont have to by the fuel permits. I was also told that be the Oregon sheriffs dept. I dont have to have a log book either. I have been pulled (10/27/2006)
Question: over for one of my brake lights being out and everything was fine. The only way I have to have a DOT# is if I run the whole united states and was 20.000lbs or more. I dont know if you where really a policeman but you have been out if the books a day to long. I believe you are just another pissed off shipper that cant get loads. There was another shipper just like you on USHIP and his account was revoked. Anyways i'm not here to be in a war of words with you and take up this ladies page i'm on this site to make a living for my family. Thank You and good luck. Jimmy "jimjim". (10/27/2006)
Question: You can use my insurance if you would like however it is extra. You can purchase insurance through USHIP. If something where to happen there deductible is only $100.00 compared to mine $1000.00. So please let me know.I believe to get a quote you click on uship community or the homepage and it will say uship now provides insurance. Thank You Jimmy Redline (10/27/2006)
Question: Hi there once again I have pulled close to six hundred loads since in business accident free. Before that I was a truck driver for 4 years accident free. I can give you references with two tractor companys I haul for all the time. Thank You For youre time Jimmy Redline Auto And Farm Transport. "jimjim" (10/27/2006)
Question: Hello rene, I'm going to put closure, to all the talk about dot authority. A ca# is the only thing required in the state.TRUE But what is not mention is that they have to have commercial insurance. In a nutshell--------JUST CALL THE CHP AND ASK THEM.. gregory (10/29/2006)
Question: Hi Rene, Well I have been following the jargon, Please ignore most of it. It is just bickering. What we need to do is transport your tractor. When It is ready why don't you close this listing and submit a new. You will have all your ducks in a row and so will all the transporters. Then you can make a proper selection. In the meantime, don't answer this mail unless you want to get ahold of me. Thank you dear, You will get your tractor shipped by some very qualified carriers. For the most part we are all legal. We just don't dare to transport with out the required insurance and other paperwork. Jim "fearlessfossil" JAL (10/29/2006)
Question: Geez. What a colossal waste of time and pita. Incredible. (11/7/2006)
Question: Ant news on your tractor ? (11/9/2006)
Response: I've updated the USHIP page ... see the note ... thanks (11/9/2006)
Question: Thank you, I will be watching (11/9/2006)
Question: Hi there I will be in this location next week. As well as the end of december.I can pick this tractor up still for $700.00 and deliever within 24-48 hours. Please remember can give references with two tractor commpanys I haul for all the time.Plese keep me in mind .Thank You Jimmy Redline"jimjim". (11/11/2006)
Response: I'm pretty sure the tractor will NOT be ready (in Oregon) to be delivered (to SLO) by next week ... December seems much more likely. I'll definitely keep you in mind for the job ... you ARE the lowest bidder! Rene (11/11/2006)
Question: Hi there Rene I just realized my bid expired.Still needing this done?I will be in Oregon the first or second week of December.Have any updates? Thanks Jimmy"jimjim". (11/19/2006)
Response: I just called my tractor builder Friday. He said that my Jimna 354 has not arrived yet. When it does, which he/my builder hopes will be real soon, it will take him a week or so to assemble and test it. That's all I currently know. I'm waiting ... just like everyone else (it's been over 3 months since I ordered it). (11/19/2006)
Question: Do you have any idea when in December ? I have a dump trailer to deliver to Seattle in about 12 days from Vegas. I can pull it or load onto my flatbed & load your tractor on my way back & deliver it to you for a good price. (11/19/2006)
Response: sounds GREAT but ... I just called my tractor builder Friday. He said that my Jimna 354 has not arrived yet. When it does, which he/my builder hopes will be real soon, it will take him a week or so to assemble and test it. That's all I currently know. I'm waiting ... just like everyone else (it's been over 3 months since I ordered it). I'll keep you informed if you do the same. Rene (11/19/2006)
Question: OK, When I bid on the trailer it was 21 days, after it was accepted he says 10 to 12 days. I will hold him to the 21 or less or he can retract. I will keep in touch but I won't bug you. Ron (11/19/2006)
Response: Did you also get the latest update? (12/19/2006)
Question: Thanks all I wanted was a update.Dont mean to bug you if I am. I had realized my bid had expired. So I did not want to bid if it had already been moved.Thank You Jimmy"jimjim". (11/19/2006)
Response: Did you get the update? (12/19/2006)
Question: I think this is a lonely guy who has nothing better to do than email back and forth with you haulers. It has already been 2 months and NO tractor yet?? He could buy the same Jinma 354 already built and ready for delivery not far from him, Porterville. Figure this one out for yourselves. (12/12/2006)
Response: you assume too much and extrapolate too far from the data ... (12/19/2006)
Question: is this ready for pickup? heading your way end of december (12/19/2006)
Response: NO the tractor is not ready for pickup ... according to the salesman at Tractor Connection ... the Jinma won't arrive in the US until near Christmas, has to clear customs, be delivered to Oregon, and then needs to be assembled. So his estimate is in January sometime. (12/19/2006)
Question: Yes I did, thank you (12/19/2006)
Response: Since my tractor is coming from China, shipping dates were and are very soft and so could not commit to a shipping date. I apologize for the delays. I just found out (5 Jan) that my new tractor/loader/backhoe arrived in Oregon (Tractor Connection) and on Monday the 8th, assembly and testing will commence. I'm not sure how long this takes, hopefully two weeks or less. I'm feeling more confident in accepting bids now that it's a real thing and not just a tractor on paper. Please make your bid a final bid; it should include everything. No hidden charges please. Whatever amount is bid, I expect to write you a check for that amount only. thank you very much for your patience, Rene (1/6/2007)
Question: Hi, I have been watching this post for months. From what I can see, Jimmy Redline (jimjim) has been with this for some time. This is just my opinion, but he has a very good bid, he is willing to work with you and this type of transport is his speciality. Plus you have the benefit of having him closer to you than many of us. I believe he is out of Delano. Just a suggestion, end all of the drama and questions by simply picking jimjim and "git er done". Thanks. GZTOP. (12/26/2006)
Question: You should pick a transporter even thou shipment not ready yet it will help the hauler plan out loads.Bulldog Transport (12/28/2006)
Question: I agree Bulldog, most of us are booking loads months in advance. Good luck. GZTOP. (12/28/2006)
Question: Any news ? (1/5/2007)
Question: That's good news. You have been very patient. (1/6/2007)
Question: Man this load has become a soap opera. And once you cross a state line whatever state you become a interstate not a enterstate carrier and that requires dot authority. And insurance because you doing commerce. And as long as you have a trailer behind you you are required to log your time. Cal scales say no P/U. Idaho weight limit is 26000lbs before your are required to pull thru scales, Oregon weight 20,000lbs. Wy requires all inbound loads making del to stop. AZ requires all commerical Veh to stop. Just have an acct or get pulled over you will find out.You could in up losing everything you own and or behind bars. Unless your not for hire or are transporting your own goods. Anyway any word on tractor being done. Bulldog (1/8/2007)
Response: I didn't quite understand what you're saying. Are you saying that if you go from Oregon (assembling area) to California (my home) to deliver my tractor for money, then you need DOT authority and insurance. Is that correct? Anyways I thought most if not everyone did. I just got a message from John at Tractor Connection and they started assembling my tractor Monday the 8th. I'm not sure how long it takes to put it together, make modifications and fully test. I hope not more than 2 weeks. that's the latest. Rene (1/8/2007)
Question: The dog is correct but the reason he is telling you is not that he is just a good guy, it's the way some carriers get their work. Ship legally but people who have to disparage other carriers to get work is pretty desperate as he must be. (1/8/2007)
Response: see new info on my shipment ... (1/22/2007)
Question: Sorry Rene, I was commenting on the Question. It seems that your add has started quite a debate among the other drivers. I really just wanted a update on the tractor. I have a couple of other bids in or area. Just trying to save you all some cash. By getting them all in one load. The DOG. P.S. At least I sign my bids and comments!!!!!! (1/9/2007)
Question: no hidden fees $700.00. I will wait to hear from you ok.I'm all legal.I dont have to prove my business to other carriers just the shippers.I will be headed back to Washington onj Wednesday.Jimmy "jimjim" (1/9/2007)
Response: I've updated my info. (1/22/2007)
Question: That's what its about Jim, Making the customer happy. and try to make a profit too. Bulldog (1/9/2007)
Response: In the "listing information" section, I've typed in an update to my shipment. FYI Rene (1/22/2007)
Question: How are you doing ? I feel bad for you that is is taking you so long to get your new tractor. Maybe soon. Off to Nd. Wednesday. Hope it happens soon. Ron (1/22/2007)
Question: Yes, Thank you (1/22/2007)
Question: If this still needs shipped please get back to me. I will be coming thru the Albany area on 01/24/07 if that works for you please let me know either way....Tim/SBM Inc. (1/22/2007)
Response: It does still need to be shipped but as I said in the updated information ... there's still some things that need to be done on the tractor which should take another week or two at the lastest ... from today's date. What would you charge, complete (I just with to write one check for that amount upon delivery) and how would it be delivery, vehicle-wise. Rene (1/23/2007)
Question: AS you can tell me bid is the only active here. Can you update me I will be in this area next week. Thanks Jimmy jimjim (1/28/2007)
Response: I just got a notice from Tractor Connection (Nelson Equipment Corporation, 1030 NE Old Salem Road Albany, OR 97321) today (Thursday 1 FEB) that the tractor will be ready on the 6th or 7th of February. (2/2/2007)
Question: allright I just hope you will consider the fact that I have moved many new tractors and have been the only transporter to stick with you.I'm in the area right now and will be back up in washington next week.can deliever within 48-72 hours.I only live about three hours from you in delano.thanks jimmy redline auto and farm transport (2/2/2007)
Question: (2/2/2007)
Response: I'm not sure what a boker does or how they operate ... but sure you've stuck with me ... yay! It means a lot, and I will definitely take that into consideration ... Remind me again how you will transport my tractor, that you're fully insured and that your bid is the amount I write my check for (no other hidden fees)? I will decide when I'm sure my tractor is really and truly ready, hopefully this week. Rene (2/4/2007)
Question: A brpker has several trucks and will not get there as quick as me.Just like a insurance broker they give you one quote and it turns into double when you get to there office or in this case when they deliever to you. (2/5/2007)
Question: Hi there your tractor will be transported on a open car carrier.I haul this kind of equipment all of the time.Im fully insured and will transport for $700.00 plus USHIP FEES 7.9%.Thanks Jimmy Redline "Per uShip rules, bids must be all inclusive." -uShip. (2/5/2007)
Response: 7.9% of $700? ... so the check I write you, upon delivery, will be for $755.30, is that correct? (2/5/2007)
Question: Yes but please realize the 7.9% is what USHIP cahrges me.It is not money in my pocket. They charge my card when you accept my bid.It is a good chunk of change I agree $55.00 is alot of money but i as a transporter should not have to pay that. That is how this website makes its money. (2/5/2007)
Question: just wondering if it will be avail by next thursday as i will be in that area, and heading back to pismo beach that weekend? My bid would be in your range. thanks (2/6/2007)
Response: Do you mean the 15th or the 8th? How will you transport the tractor, are you insured, and what would be your "out the door" bid (which should include all costs with nothing hidden) for doing the job? (2/6/2007)
Question: Let me make a correction to my bid. When and if you accept my bid USHIP will require a deposit from you of 7.9% of the accepting bid. You can contact them through community to verify it is them requireing the deposit not me.That is there fee your check to me would be $644.70. I hope this helps my bid. Jimmy Redline Auto & Farm Transport (2/7/2007)
Question: Hi there Jimmy with Redline any luck with this tractor yet?"jimjim" (2/10/2007)
Response: John from Tractor connection just sent me an email yesterday saying that the tractor would be ready on Wednesday the 14th but since it's been 6 months since I ordered the tractor, I'm waiting a few more days to confirm this "fact." ... that's the latest! Rene (2/10/2007)
Question: jimjim: this is GZTOP. I have recommended you to some shippers, but when they look you up in the Provider Directory under "jimjim" nothing comes up. What is going on? I tried it as well and nothing came up. GZTOP. (2/12/2007)
Question: Hey there GZ im not sure whats up with that.I will check into that. Thanks Jimmy I tryed to make a request from you one time but it never went through. (2/14/2007)
