Questions for this shipment:

Question: Hi...This is all I do, so I can assure you your cats would be well-taken care of...If I do this for you, they would be picked up around the 16th, I'm guessing. The next few weeks are going to be crazy, I have to pick up two dogs in Arkansas, two cats in Oklahoma, then a dog and a ferret in Toledo, then head out to the East Coast, then back to the midwest and to Utah and Idaho. Maybe even a pig pickup. Yippee! You'll be somewhat off the route, but I can do this...Unfortunately, the Powers That Be have barred me from bidding my services away for free, as I had been (they don't get their 8% fee if I bid it away), so I'm going to have to charge you what may seem high, but in fact, it's actually not. To carry three cats in airline cargo, you're looking at around $600. That's what I'll charge you...My gas costs from Indiana to Montana would be in the neighborhood of around $400-$450. My travel expenses will be around $150. Then Uship takes a broker fee of a little over $60, which mea (7/8/2005)
Response: Hi, thank you for a quick response. I have a few questions: 1) what will you be transporting my cats in(vehicle) 2) Will you have a comfortable eniviroment provided for them 3) What will I need to supply for them for the trip (what should I put them in or do you have holding boxes?) 4) You will feed them right? 5) How long will it take for you to get here once you start your trip 6) Do you have references? Thanks for your patience on these questions. 7) would you also be willing to bring their cat tree and toys? (7/8/2005)
Question: And I know you say they've had their shots, but the law requires me to have a health certificate from a veterinarian within 10 days from the date of delivery. If you have a vet you go to on a regular basis, they'll typically do it for you without charge. (7/8/2005)
Response: Hi, This would not be a problem. I would make sure this was provided :+) only today is the 8th and I cannot get this until monday. and you are leaving on the 16th. How can I work this out in time? (7/8/2005)
Question: Whoops. I can't even multiply anymore. The Uship broker fee would be around $47.40, not over $60.00 as I'd said...Anyway, as you can see, this is not a moneymaking venture for me. (7/8/2005)
Response: Is this price you have stated neg. at all? Please do not be offended by this question. I am currently seperated and my funds are tight. But I do want my cats with me. What can we work out? If firm on this could you include their cat tree and toys/litter boxes? Thanks (7/8/2005)
Question: Wow, that's a lotta questions...I'm surprised you didn't ask me how many hairs I have remaining on my balding head, too. They'd be traveling in a large cargo van...I'm unsure which carrier I'd put them in. I have huge 700 size carriers I use for the dogs and large parrots, but the cats, with multiple cats I'll sometimes put them in a gigantic dog dog cage, the kind that's built for mastiffs and other big dogs. It's taller so it gives them more room for things like cat furniture, the litter box, food bowls and everything else. More in the next message, this site is lousy, leaves very few characters to type. (7/8/2005)
Response: Sorry for so many questions. I appreciate your patience. I have never done this before. Your transportation sounds great! I would perfer them together in the large cage you wrote about. Do you have any ?'s (7/8/2005)
Question: With respect to length of time it would take for the actual trip, I honestly couldn't say. I don't like driving a lot of hours straight...I'm not a trucker and I don't pretend to be. My only concern is getting the animals safely to the destination. With respect to cost, I hear what you're saying about your own financial situation, but I can't afford to get hammered even more than I already am. If I had a source of outside funding for my work, then I could afford to haggle with you and a lot of other people. Maybe one day, but not today. The gas prices alone just murder me. (7/8/2005)
Response: I can totally understand about the gas prices. I feel confident that you would be the right person to do this. I am calling my vet in Nappanee as I type this to see what I need to do on the certificates for my cats. I guess now all we need to do is take care of finalizing this transport. Not sure how I do this. Also I need to know how much at pickup and how much once delivered. Thank you NoahsArk. PS would you include the cat tree/toys/litter boxes PLEASE PLACE YOUR BID (7/8/2005)
Question: With respect to the health certificate, I don't see a problem with your dates...Maybe you didn't understand what I was saying...For example, let's say I delivered them on the 21st. That means the vet's health certificate should not be dated no earlier than the 11th. So you're fine, unless I'm misunderstanding something in your question. (7/8/2005)
Question: O.K., but my mother didn't name me NoahsArk...Lord knows she called me a lot of names, but not one of them was ever NoahsArk. The name's Alan. You can call me Alan. (7/8/2005)
Response: Thank you Alan. Where do we go from here? I have contacted my Vet and he is faxing the certificates to the pickup address. (my Moms place) (7/8/2005)
Question: Much to my dismay, I will shortly be putting $600 in the bid space so as to make sure the four kids running Uship get their $47.40. Press "accept" so we can stop talking in secret code, and we'll be allowed to see each other's contact information. God forbid we may be allowed to speak and actually communicate directly with each other before a bid is accepted. That certainly would have meant the end of civilization as we know it. (7/8/2005)
Response: Hi just waiting to hear from you so we can talk and finalize our transaction :+) (7/8/2005)
