Questions for this shipment:

Question: are you really looking to spend .24 a mile on this? my operating cost is .36, not including wear and tear and making enough profit to support my wife and kid. please reconsider your target. i can handle this for .75 a mile (10/3/2009)
Response: Hugh--The boat cost $2000-Why would I spend almost what it is worth?-That's why I'm lowballing, otherwise I'm giving it to my nephew--Jack (10/5/2009)
Response: well i hope he has fun on the water (10/5/2009)
Response: Yah--Take care (10/5/2009)
Question: I may be loading in a week or so in Chicago(not confirmed yet)It would mean you bringing it down to a marina that I will load at,it will go to Alemeda Ca,have to be dropped and reloaded, then added with another going to Fl from Oxnard.I then would roll it off the back in the southern Ca area for someone to pick up in routye because tho other will be an oversize boat..900.00?????tduncan55 (10/4/2009)
Response: Tduncan: Thank you very much-price is right but way too complicated. Boat is to go to my Brother's House in Del Mar and I might not be out there until a while after boat arrives--Thanks Anyhow--Jack (10/4/2009)
Response: Understood,If I get the other set up,I might consider unloading it on the way down south in Ca. On the way to Fl and then pulling it to his house.I have a hitch set up on the truck.I may bid in a couple of days for you tyo consider. The boat is very small.Piggyback with another peice is the easy way to go.thanks,tduncan55 (10/5/2009)
Response: T dunc--We'll leave it open for now. I know how difficult it must be to set up this stuff--Jack (10/5/2009)
Response: Thanks,I have yet to hear from the other one, they may be loosing the spot.I have to be in Ca. the week of the 19th so I am looking now in case they fall out on me.I will get back with you if anything developes.tduncan55 (10/5/2009)
Question: (10/5/2009)
Question: Can haul at the end of this week for $795 door to dooron my 2 car trailer. The only stipulation is the motor and any loose items would have be secured since things have a tendency to bounce around over a 2000 mile trip. Last aluminum boat I hauled the guy layed the outboard in the bottom of the boat and thought it would be fine to go 1800 miles. I couldn't let it go like that so I ended up securing it so it wouldn't cause any damage. Check feedback Tom 56chevy150. (10/5/2009)
Response: 56: Thanks for info and you are correct, but number one--not ready tey and number 2 I'm shipping with engine mounted so...--Thanks-Jack (10/5/2009)
Response: Could haul it on my car trailer for $675 if it can be picked up saturday. (10/8/2009)
Response: 56: Too soon but thank you-Jack (10/8/2009)
Question: I have secured the other boat in Chicago and I will bid a reasonable price that will get it there to your brothers house.I am loading next week in Chicago and can come by and pick it up locally to add on the rear of my air ride equipment.I need asap response if you find the deal ok.thanks tduncan55 (10/7/2009)
Response: Dunc--You are messing with me--The most complicated to the most simple???--I declined your bid because how this thing works--Hit me back--Jackca (10/8/2009)
Response: I do not understand your comment,It is complicated to add a smaller peice to two adjoining loads to try and offer a cheaper price.I am not running a one ton pickup truck and it is the best offer I could make.By itself you would not want to spend the $$$$.I am not exactly desperate for these add ons, there is no profit in smaller items, too much hassle and to hard to get enough $$$$ to justify them. The price was to include all the problems I would have to get it there and some out of route miles, anyway good luck on it I will move on.Maybe you will get top performance for a much lower price.tduncan55 (10/8/2009)
Response: Thanks-Jack (10/8/2009)
Question: can this be towed, I am empty going out but do not have my flatbed with me (10/11/2009)
Response: Tacks: I believe you mean you want to tow it on my trailer. I don't want any miles put on my trailer, so I guess my answer is no. Thanks-Jack (10/11/2009)
Response: I can put this on my flatbed for $995 (10/11/2009)
Response: Tacks: When do you want to Pick Up??? Available 10/16 +---Jack (10/11/2009)
Response: are the measurements above the trailer width, just wanted to make sure it will fit (10/11/2009)
Response: Tacks: The boat is slightly wider than the trailer(Obviously) The boat dimensions assumes it's on a trailer...meaning I'm just measuring the boat itself, not from the ground up. If you need that let me know, but even that only adds 2 feet to the overall height. . I am assuming you would transport on an open flatbed where height to one degree or another would not matter. If it's enclosed please let me know--Jack (10/11/2009)
Response: Just wanted to make sure the wheel base of the trailer would fir between my wheel wells if it is 6' from outer wheel to wheel it should (10/12/2009)
Response: I'll have to get 100% accurate measurement when I get home tonight--Thanks-Jack (10/12/2009)
Response: Jack, were you able to get that measurement? I'll place a bid tomorrow if it fits (10/14/2009)
Response: I Hate this system tacks---I had to wait for you to hit me after I answered your question about the width of the boat--Before I had the answer---It's 5 feet 6 inches--Outside trailer wheel to wheel--I assume you drag the boat from ground onto your trailer like a towing company might do. Some guy said he had to lift it??? What??? I've been waiting for you to hit me back--If OK-Please let me know either way. If you jdo not bid--I cannot answer any additional questions--Glad I foundf you on this, but it ties your hands as far as communication. Please say hey, ney or bid so we can continue---Boat Ready--Jack (10/15/2009)
Response: Jack I would also have to pick up the 18th (sunday) afternoon or evening (10/15/2009)
Question: Shipper. Door to door for $1000.00 Can pick it up the beginning of next week have it delivered the end of next week. (10/12/2009)
Response: Hey California Dudes--Moving There. I'm OK with Price, but what I've learned on this site is once I answer a question and I have to add to my question I can't initiate that question until you answer back which has caused the bid process to stall, actually to expire. I'm OK with price and timing so I believe either YOU bid or I have to ASK for a BID(???--Jack (10/13/2009)
Response: Hi Shipper, Only question I have is whether or not you have some form of loading dock or a place with a forklift somewhere relatively close to you?. We have that equipment here, but have no way of loading the boat at your place. Need to find a loading dock or boat place to load onto the truck. Ill put the bid in, just be aware we need thst to do the job Thanks. Fane. SCYT (10/13/2009)
Response: OMG!!! The boat is on a trailer as my description says. It's a small boat(respectively speaking) All you have to do is drag it onto your flatbed!! What am I missing here??? Please respond (10/13/2009)
Response: Shipper OMG.!!!! Let me explain. Your "little boat" weighs 1500 Lbs by your calculation. It's 20 feet long on the trailer and almost 8 feet wide. It needs to be lifted 6 feet in the air to ride on the goose neck of the trailer. Now I'm sure you have the physique of Charles Atlas, and would have no trouble dead lifting that weight. For those of us who have progressed beyond the stone age and have an IQ greater than the bicep measurement of your arm, we would prefer to use a mechanical lifting device. But if you think this is something you would like to do, I'll bring the truck, some popcorn and the lawn chairs, sell tickets and settle in for an afternoon of entertainment that will surely subsidize your 24cent per mile transport to California. If your looking for me to transport your boat, I can do that, if your looking for sarcastic wit I can give you that too, no extra charge. (10/14/2009)
Response: Hey Funny Cali Dude: The waves sometimes overcome even the best minds...I've had numerous quotes and not "ONE" not one, ever mentioned other than a tow onto their flatbed (re-read the details as to where I have it--In a garage with a spacious parking lot for pick up) DUH!!! Also never expected the boat to be placed(again from other quotes) On A Frickin GOOSHEAD!!! Never mentioned in your quote--Smart Guy!!! Go Surfing late in the evening "Dude"---Shipper Dude-Dude (10/15/2009)
