Additional Information: This sauna is on a pallet and can be shipped on the pallet or disassembled for shipment. This sauna has buckle latches that allow quick and easy disassembly so that it can nestle together for shipment. It is currently on a pallet, and I was told by a shipping company that it could be shipped as is, assembled on a pallet. Either way of shipment would be fine with me. My business in Monroeville has a loading dock and forklift but I could pick up at a terminal in any city in Alabama. I am very flexible on delivery of this sauna. I am currently living in Crossett, Arkansas and would also consider picking it up in Little Rock or in Monroe, LA. I am flexible on shipping time. No hurry at all. Any help getting this sauna to me in Alabama or Arkansas would be greatly appreciated Report a Violation

Questions for this shipment:

Question: what is the target price ? (2/1/2008)
Response: HI. I am open to consideration of any reasonable bid. It really just depends on how it is shipped. If someone has to disassemble and pack the sauna, I would expect to pay more than to have someone just pick it up and put it on a truck. If it could be shipped on the pallet that it is on, that is just fine with me. Please feel free to submit a bid based on what you feel the job is worth. I would really like to get it shipped and I am running out of time to let the seller know that I am going to be able to do so. I would be willing to pick it up in either Arkansas, Alabama or Monroe, LA. Thanks so much for asking this question and please feel free to submit your bid. (2/1/2008)
Response: what would you think is a reasonable bid ? (2/1/2008)
Response: Wow, I wish I knew. I have not been able to get any estimates yet. The shipping companies are cheap enough, ranging from 240.00 to 600.00 depending on which truck line you choose, but I am just not sure if it would make it in one piece when dealing with the large truck lines if put on a pallet as is. You know how rough they can be. I'm not one to worry about a few scratches or nicks, but I have seen some stuff get totally destroyed in shipping, even when well packaged. If it were put on a truck such as yours and did not have to be moved several times from truck to truck, it would make the trip fine on the pallet as is.The thing is, it's so darned easy to take apart and lay flat.No to I know it looks complicated in the picture, but it really would be easy to just take each part and place it on the pallet or onto your truck. If you price it out and get over there to find it was a difficult job, I'm more than willing to compensate you for your extra trouble. I just need a ballpark figure. (2/1/2008)
Question: I really have no way to price this. The driver has to determine if they can move it as is, without disassembling. And if it has to be disassembled, how many hours it will take to do it? Our trucks are semis with a 48’ trailer, there is no lift gate, but we have a moving ramp. (2/1/2008)
Response: Hi. I'm just grateful to have you look into this. These saunas latch together and come apart in less than 30 minutes. Most people say a ten minute set up or take down with two people, 20 to 30 with one person. My son actually sells these saunas and he ships them via Fedex in three boxes. They are made to come apart and stack together for shipment. The three tempered glass parts will nestle together and the two flat sides and top and bottom will lay together flat. It really would be easy money if I could find someone interested in doing the job. It's difficult to do that from this distance, even with the Iinternet. Me and my 18 year old son could quickly unload to our pickup anywhere along the route between Arkansas and Alabama. We are currently living in Crossett, Arkansas. It could also be shipped to my business with forklift in Monroeville, Alabama or to any terminal along the way. (2/1/2008)
Question: thank you for , but our price would be much more... sorry (2/1/2008)
Response: I did not mean to imply that I would expect you to do it for the same price as the shipping company. Those estimates came from some college student who was taking orders at one of those places that gives freight estimates for many companies at once. I was not even convinced that a shipping company would accept this on the pallet as is with no packing at all (even though he said they would). I'm not trying to be cheap and I would fully expect you to make money on this shipment. What ballpark range are you thinking of for shipping this? (2/1/2008)
Response: you are looking $1250 + dissassembling cost (2/1/2008)
Response: Ouch...yes, I guess you are right. I could actually buy a brand new one for less than the shipping and auction cost. Oh well. I'm sorry to have taken so much of your time. Thank you so much for considering this shipment. (2/1/2008)
Question: I am coming down I-5 to go to Las Vegas and then Alabama. Where are you? The Uship map is not working. I have room in an enclosed truck. (2/2/2008)
Response: Hi. We are about half way between Montgomery and Mobile and off of I-65 about 30 miles. The town on I-65 that is the turn-off point is Evergreen. You would then travel a little less than 30 miles to Monroeville. If you are traveling to another part of Alabama, let me know and I'll see if my husband can figure out a place at one of his work locations where it could be delivered. I'm in Arkansas right now and could find a place with a forklift if that would be easier for you. I just need to find a way to get this thing in my possession. Thanks. (2/2/2008)
Response: When I wrote I was at Los Banos near I-5 but I am now in Las Vegas just finished unloading. Seems like it would take me 7 hrs to go to you and then back, because there aren't good roads and you are in the forest. I am concerned about snow/ice. I am going to Bermingham, AL and then FL where I must be on 2/8 morning. I would like very much to take this for you but this time is not possible. (2/3/2008)
Response: That's fine. I appreciate that you looked into this for me. I have been talking with a guy that is moving to Pensacola this week. It looks like he may be able to fit it in with his load. I am waiting to see if he can manage it before accepting his bid. Thank you for considering this shipment. Have a safe trip! (2/3/2008)
Response: Hope this guy works out. I hope to serve you next time. (2/3/2008)
