Questions for this shipment:

Question: Do you still need this done? Thanks Rick (7/20/2005)
Response: Yes (7/20/2005)
Question: are you providing insurance and dealer plates i own a transport co. in n.h. and need to know , it will effect my bid (7/20/2005)
Response: These are registered motorhomes in our rental fleet. No dealer plates necessary. We expect you to have insurance to cover your drivers. (7/20/2005)
Question: I have 5 people and a van with driver(6 people total)who are willing to do this in 2 back/back trips. My concern is your time frame, are p/u or delivery dates flexible? Thanks....Rick (7/20/2005)
Response: Pickup and delivery dates may vary a little. Please let us know what you propose and we will tell you if it will work. (7/20/2005)
Question: i live in nj and i have been motorhoming and hauling for over 20 years. lets assume these guys get about 7 mpg for the entire 1100 mile ride. thats about 158 gallons. at 2.35 per gallon you get about 372 bucks for gas per unit. throw in another 50 bucks each for tolls. then you have air fair to fly me and the boys from atlantic city international into orlando one way. (hope you'll pick us up when we get there). one way on spirit air is currently about 125 bucks each. we are now at 547 per unit. it will be a 2 day trip w/ one night at a hotel. food and expenses for both day's and the 1 night loding will be approx another 150 bucks. now we are up to 697 per unit. in order to make this worth while we gotta get 250 per day per unit to drive. throw in the 7.9% u ship fee and you get a grand total of 1292 per unit. NO EXTRAS!!! i'd like to have all ten units but will need more time to bring them all to nj. i only have 5 qualified drivers so i will need 2 trips. i would be happy to take as ma (7/20/2005)
Response: I am not sure there is a question to answer. It looks like it cut your message off part way through. (7/20/2005)
Question: many as you want to give us if you want to split the load w/ other drivers. thanks will (7/20/2005)
Response: Ok, there is the rest of the message. I will probably be accepting a bid and confirming details on this job today. (7/20/2005)
Question: My calculations on the high side even at 7 MPG totals only $1,182.00. I DO NOT NEED FOOD EXPENSE $$$$...and as I mentioned we could sleep in the units if that permissible...IF we need motel lodging 2 or 3 drivers would need only ONE ROOM...and most of our time would be on the road anyway. Thanks once again for your consideration. (7/21/2005)
Response: Thank you. (7/21/2005)
Question: I rented a RV from Emonti in linden, nj before i live close but i also fly for free so if someone picks me up at the mco airport i can bring one up for you I have a clean cdl class a license with a h t n endor. you pay the fuel and a few bucks for my time (7/21/2005)
Response: Thank you. We are making our decision today. (7/21/2005)
Question: i would get a few hour rest in the unit but will not use the bathroom so they dont have to service it in Linden (7/21/2005)
Response: Very good. (7/21/2005)
Question: obviously if you let us stay in the vehicles for some sleep here and there we wouldn't need a hotel room. our price might then be a little cheaper. but then again cheaper isn't always better!!please let me know all the criteria for this move so i may put in a bid. no sense bidding now since it'll just get low balled by people looking to work for nothing. thanks will (7/21/2005)
Response: You may sleep in the units. No problem. Please place a bid soon as we will be deciding today. (7/21/2005)
Question: Looks like there's alot of jockeying for postion here AND you might need to utilize more than one bidder anyway. It does look as though I can supply 5 drivers now, doing this in 2 trips, however if you can let the bidder's (myself and others looking to square this up with you) know exactly what your felxibility on time frame is. Anyone of us would need a little heads up on getting drivers, airfare etc. in place and if we go by the info you've offered it does sound more or less like we need to do this in 3 day period 8/3, 8/4, 8/5 by 4:00 PM......Ideally I could handle this all for you and with flexibility in total dollars and cents, IF we could start ASAP. Anything else you can tell me would be appreciated. Peter (7/21/2005)
Response: OK, hope everyone can read this. The earliest they can be picked up is July 31. They all MUST arrive by August 4th. (7/21/2005)
Question: Hey,AONEDRIVER, you don't speak for me or "us", Quit jawjackin' and jump on out there with your bid! (7/22/2005)
Question: i would like to know all the info on this move as soon as possible. this site is notoriuos for low ballers looking to work for nothing. it's real easy for me to do all the calculations to come up w/ fair price and then have somebody jump on with a bid for a few bucks cheaper. i also believe a smart shipper will look at feedback as well as references before he jumps at somebody to save a few bucks. my bid will wait till i have all the info neded. it also has occured to me that their is no return correspondence from the shipper. august 3rd is fast approaching. whats up? WILL (7/22/2005)
Response: The earliest they can be picked up is July 31. They all MUST arrive by August 4th. Feedback will be taken into account. We do these moves all the time. The care the vehicles will be given is very important to us. They are being moved to NJ because of rental demand there and if they are not delivered in good condition it would be very bad. However, you must bid soon because we are deciding today. (7/22/2005)
Question: as it stands right now we can still get flights into orlando on the 31st within 35.00 of the figure i had originally quoted. monday the 1st the price of flights is about 85 higher. a lot needs to get done here in a short time. i'll have myself and 4 others w/ me so i can commit to 5 units. if more time is allowed and flight prices don't go crazy i'll fly back and get the others. i'll need at least 700 per unit in advance to pay for expenses and the balance at delivery point in cash or certified check. the longer this takes to complete the higher the price of flights. my bid will include up to 125 per flight. you will be responsible for anything over that. what happens if a unit breaks down?? do we still get paid if it does not complete the trip? i believe my bid amount is going to be 1325 per unit since flights are a little higher then i had originally figured. if you have done this before how do you usually work the payment part?? i'll check back in a little while and will bid before (7/22/2005)
Question: days end (7/22/2005)
Response: If you are going to bid on this please do so before 4:30 PM Pacific Time. That is when we will make our decision. Thanks (7/22/2005)
Question: I will do one unit for the fuel+400.00 or the fuel+a free rental sometime at a later date. (7/22/2005)
Response: We may have future opportunities where we need to move just one unit. However because there are 10 I would prefer to use just 1 or 2 companies at the most. Thanks (7/22/2005)
Question: I'm okay with my original bid with 5 guys flying down on 7/31, delivering the 1st 5 units the following afternoon 8/1, flying down the next morning 8/2 and repeating the process with delivery on 8/3. The airfare averaged out and the estimate on gas, tolls (no longer including lodging as you say we can sleep in the units) averages out to $1,134.00 per unit. Then only thing guaranteed is our bid however, all expenses would be receipted and reimbursed by you upon delivery. This is not the easiest thing to calculate but I feel I have a good sceanrio for both ends on this. Of course IF your units don't average at least 7MPG then this figure I quoted would be higher. Let me know if this sounds right for you. Thanks so much for opportunity. (7/22/2005)
Response: OK, just received new information. Apparently we have never paid more than $1000 per unit in total for this job. If we get bids for $1000 in total or less we will accept one by 4:30 PM Pacific time today. Otherwise I will leave the auction up until Monday. If for some reason this is unacceptable I will pull the auction and use one of our standard delivery companies. (7/22/2005)
Question: i can go there and back 10 times i can pick one up anywhere anytime (7/22/2005)
Response: Unfortunately I believe it would be impossible and even if possible very unhealthy for one person to move these 10 units in the time frame allowed. I will post some single unit movements here in the future. (7/22/2005)
Question: i was just kidding but thanks and me and my family had a real good time when we rented. if you ever need some to move one unit anywhere in the usa just ask for cash123 (7/22/2005)
Question: In answering your question about modifying my bid I see no reason to modify it. I am basically looking for my bid per unit PLUS the expenses of Gas, Tolls (Motel isn't necessary now it seems)of which you will get ALL RECEIPTS. Nothing is hidden at all. Then of course Aifare twice down to Orlando for 5 drivers which brings me to your other email mentioning never paying over $1,000.00 for this. I will be honest with you. Your coming over with that this loate in the game really has a lowball sound to it. IF you can get these for $1,000.00 you've stolen this deal. MYSELF AND others who are being up front and honest with you know the $$$'s involved here and all we're looking to do is get paid for working. Now if you anything about airfares you know that today's fares will surely be different tommorrow, Sunday, Monday and the closer we get to 7/31 the more it will be. Tis is why my type of bid is the only way i can justify not being at the mercy of the airlines. You are letting the airfares (7/22/2005)
Response: I appreciate your thoughts on the matter. However, this is the first time we have used uship. There are bound to be some glitches while we are becoming accustomed to the process. I am trying to make the bidding process as fair as possible while still getting a fair deal for my company. We will pick a winner today. Your bidding in a different manner than your competitors makes it a little more difficult to compare bids. Can you deliver them all by the 4th? (7/22/2005)
Question: i thought i put in a very complete and thorough bid. my only variable is the air fare costs. i just realized however, you said in a prior conversation you usually only pay about 1000. i spoke w/ my guys and they are willing to fly into orlando on sunday the 31st and deliver the first load on tuesday. if you want to give all of them to us we will fly back on thursday and make the second delivery on saturday. should i assume that i do not have a shot at getting this job since my price is a little high? i could probably lower it about 50 bucks since we don't need rooms. please remember u ship charges me 7.9% of my bid amount. thanks will (7/22/2005)
Response: Is there any way you can get them all there by the 4th? (7/22/2005)
Question: Have you awarded the job to anyone yet? If not, we can assist you. Thanks. (7/25/2005)
Response: Yes we have awarded the job already. However we may still need a couple more moved if you are interested. (7/25/2005)
