You will Load and Haul Curb-Side Disaster Debris Material 5-10 miles to TDRS{Temporary Debris Reduction Sites}. Contract Performance will Begin June 1st, 2007 to November 30th, 2012 for Escambia County, Florida [Pensacola Area]. Nationwide for All Future Disaster Sites. Rates will be pre-set "Per Cubic Yard Rates" and/or pre-set "Hourly Rates". Great Earnings Potential. $$$$ (4/19/2007)
Question: We have track hoes, skid loaders, and dump trucks, what do we need to submit? What is the contract? Is it required that we have to be there then? What if I have the equipment tied up in another job site? I am intrested, but need a ton more information. (4/20/2007)
Question: Iam just a one truck opearation cant do the whole job but whould like to sign up to work on the job i can go any time would you be interested in doing something like that? (4/30/2007)
Response: Yes, no problem at all. (5/1/2007)
Question: Hello. I don't have a truck, but I have a crew of three guys. When we remove bebris from job sites here in Milwaukee, I usually rent a large trailer, we fill it up and go dump it. If you think that you could use our services let me know. We can leave whenever and stay for however long you might need us. Thanks! Andy. (5/10/2007)
Response: FEMA "will not" allow any Hand Loading, nor, Hand Unloading. You must have Mechaical Equipment to Load and Truck/Trailer must Mechanically Dump. Crews must have Sawmen, Laborers, Flaggers, Loaders, Dump Truck/Trailers and Crew Forman with Cell and Pick Up Truck. How far are you from Greensburg, Kansas Area? Let me know of an Equipment List? (5/11/2007)
Question: Hello. We are 850 miles from Greensburg, KS. I don't have any of the required equiptment. I thought we would be able to hand load and unload out of a couple of 26' stake truck like we do our debris removal jobs here in Milwaukee. If there is ever a need for our type of services please let me know. Thanks! Andrew. (5/12/2007)
Response: Look around localy for a Knuckleboom Truck or a Knuckleboom Unit to mount on one or both of your trucks. These are perfect for Debris Removal, only need to change from Butt Grapple to Trash Grapple, so that, the unit can pick up large amounts very quickly. That way you can fully load both trucks on job-site then drive to Dump Area and Unload both trucks with the Knuckleboom. This will quadruple your amount hauled per day. If you build-up the sides to 6' Tall a 26' Bed will yeild about 50-55 cubic yards. 40-45 cy with a Knuckleboom Installed. You figure Cubic Yardage by this Formula: Height x Width x Length then Divide by 27. You may find a Good Knuckleboom Cheap and Discover How Effective They Really Are. I have a Large Trash Grapple with the Rotator Head For Sale. It opens to 78" Wide and easily mounted to any knuckleboom loader. Drywall Board Trucks can also be found cheap, then you will need to remove the Forks and mount a Grapple Bucket. (5/12/2007)
Question: Thank you for this important information. I printed it out so that I could remember how to do this. We truly appreciate this. I might be in contact with you all here on uShip within a couple of weeks. Thanks! Andrew. (5/14/2007)
