Questions for this shipment:

Question: is there help at both ends i can do $450 in 3 weeks (9/29/2009)
Response: Have already received bids for over a hundred dollars less. I do appreciate your interest, but unless you come down significantly, I would decline your offer. Again, thanks for your interest. (10/3/2009)
Response: $325 can you have it wrapped (10/3/2009)
Question: Hello Shipper, I have a Dodge Dual Wheel pick up with a double cab. If those measurements are correct, this will fit on my back seat. I am leaving for Florida on Tuesday and will be returning from there starting on Friday. I will most likely be able to deliver it on Saturday at some point. If these dates work for you, I would like to submit a formal bid that should be cost effective for both of us. Please advise. Thanks, Peter (10/1/2009)
Response: I am a bit uneasy about the clock riding in your back seat. How would you wrap the clock to protect it? Also, keep in mind that the pendulum should be removed and the clock movement secured, preferably with a piece of styrofoam. Please respond to the above concerns, and also give me an idea of what you would charge. Next Saturday would work for me, and I could give you a hand bringing the clock up to my living room. Thanks for your interest. (10/2/2009)
Response: Hello again, I would think the safest spot for it is right behind me in the cab of the truck. I have moving blankets in which to wrap it and would secure it in place. As far as removing the pendulum, I would like that done before I arrive, unless it is simple to do. I know that some of these clocks are more complicated and intricate than others. I'm bidding on safe transport and if removing the pendulum will be time consuming then I must account for that. Please let me know your thoughts so that we can move closer to finalizing this for both of us. Thanks again, Peter (10/3/2009)
Response: Thanks for your prompt response. Since I purchased the clock on e-bay and haven't actually seen it in person, I don't know how complicated removing the pendulum and securing the movement is. If wwe agree on a price assumking it is easy to do, I would give you a phone number and contact in Florida; maybe he would be willing to have clock ready for pickup in advance. What I need to know as soon as possible (today, Oct 3) is how much you would charge for a simple delivery (either clock ready to wrap, or a quick, simple preparation of the clock for wrapping). I have another bid that expires today, which is my lowest bid so far, and I would like to accept if we can't work out the details and price to both our satisfactions. Thanks again for a quick response. (10/3/2009)
Response: Hello again, $300.00 works for me if that's okay with you. I would either pick it up on the way to my destination or on the return. I just have to see what is easier for me. I too would like to finalize this transaction asap. So please let me know and I will bid. Thanks, Peter (10/3/2009)
Response: Bottom line, my lowest bid thus far is $275.00, but it hasn't formally submitted yet. I will hopefully be able to get back to you by tomorrow afternoon, if you're still interested and can meet the lowest bid. Thanks. (10/3/2009)
Response: Hello again, I will be setting my itinerary before noon tomorrow and will bid by that time. Thanks for your consideration. Sincerely, P eter (10/4/2009)
Question: Have done clocks. Can provide references. Are you ready to go with this? Thanks Ted (10/2/2009)
Response: You're the lowest bid to date, but I have two other shippers I need to hear back from (they had questions I have responded to this morning), and I need to give them a chance to provide bids to me. If you would be willing to extend your bid for 24 hours, I will let you know one way or the other. Thanks for your interest. (10/3/2009)
Response: Thank-you for your time, I would like to earn your business. Please let me know if you have any further concerns. Thanks, Ted (10/3/2009)
Question: Good morning. I have recently completed my lastest south bound run and am now scheduling pickups for my return run north, with final north bound deliveries expected within 4-6 days of final pickup(depending, of course, on how quickly I can fill a load). If this time frame could meet your needs on this, and there will be some assist with loading and unloading, if needed, I can get this delivered for you for 275, paid at pick up via PayPal or credit card(if you don't have a PayPal acct.). If you would be so considerate, please let me know either way as soon as possible, so I can know whether to persue this further, or focus my efforts elsewhere. Thanks, Howard. Please review my profile and feedback, as you should do with any bidder you may consider-it really does tell the history of the provider. Also. please note that I have NOT YET submitted the formal bid, but will await your reply before doing so. Again, Thank You (10/3/2009)
Response: Thanks for your interest. The clock pendulum would have to be removed and wrapped and the clock's movement would have to be secured with a piece of styrofoam. I may be able to get the seller to take of those details. Inasmuch as you are the lowest bidder so far, I am interested in seeing if we can get this to work for us both. Please submit your bid formally and I can let you know in a day or so if we have a deal. Thanks again. (10/3/2009)
Response: Sorry for the delay in replying but I was in "in town" traffic and then was loading up a couple of items in Miami. As a general rule, I usually wait until the shipper is actually ready to accept the bid before I submit. I know it sounds odd, but that way I don't have open bids floating about. When I place a bid, I'm making a promise to do the shipment and must hold the needed space in reserve, which doesn't work well for me to do so on a "maybe". So when you're ready to accept a bid, please let me know and I'll submit it right away. The sooner the better though since this would be among my later stops, I'd want to place this toward the front of my truck(also as it would ride much better at the front.). Thanks, Howard. (10/3/2009)
Response: I can't guarantee I will accept your bid, but please do submit a bid. (10/5/2009)
Response: bid is in..please accept(or decline) aas soon as possible.Thanks. (10/5/2009)
Question: when do you expect to accept a bid on this? If possible, I'd like to pick up tomorrow morning. (10/5/2009)
Question: I almost forgot..if you decide to accept my bid, please double check your contact numbers( yep..it happens a lot..lol) as I will call you as soon as possible after bid has been accepted. Thanks, Howard. (10/5/2009)
