Questions for this shipment:

Question: I am heading to Atlanta this weekend. Could p/u this week and have there by weekend. If you have an idea of what you wanna pay, can get this done for you.THx. (6/5/2006)
Response: I would need an estimate from you, as I am not sure what the job is worth. Thanks! (6/5/2006)
Question: If you could give me an idea of exactly what you have, so I know I have enough room on the truck, I will give u an estimate Thx (6/5/2006)
Response: It has been up there a year which is why I couldn't be really specific in the ad. I know it has a full size mattress, a triple dresser, a smaller dresser, several large prints, a mirror, 4 or 5 chairs and several boxes. Like I said, the bin is 15x15 and is less then half full. Not sure if it would fit in just a truck tho. (6/5/2006)
Question: Hi, I can pick up on june 14th in the afternoon and deliver within 24 hrs to SC in my enclosed cargo trailer. I might need assistance with the dresser at unloading, but should be able to load with no problem. I can transport for $500 and will place a bid if you wish. thanks, rick (6/5/2006)
Response: Hey, thanks for checking out my ad. I don't think I want to go quite that high, but thank you very much anyway. (6/5/2006)
Question: when do you want your items picked up and delivered? if you are flexible give me a date range. thanks (8/15/2006)
Response: The reason I didn't asnwer your bid is I do believe a small trailer will be needed along with the pickup truck. If you have a hitch, I have a trailer you can use. My dates are totally flexible. Thanks. (8/17/2006)
Question: my bid can be left active by u in case u need it. If u accept another bid, mine cancels automatically. I do not have a hitch. I felt the triple dresser would go front of the truck bed, lay the small dresser down on its back with pasdding underneath, the mattress on top of that, fill in the extra spaces with boxes, etc. some things can ride in the front with me. If the dresser drawers are empty, I can put stuff from some of the boxes in the dresser drawers. Then once everything is on the truck cover with a blanket and tarp and tie it down. At that bid price I can not afford to bring a helper to help load and unload. Once I got to Rock Hill I could get someone. I have a handtruck and can load the dressers myself I think. Is there someone up there to help? I feel that there is a good chance I can get it on the truck. If u feel it will defintely not, then I can not help you. Since you are not totally sure what is there, there could be empty boxes, or near empty boxes for consolidation (8/17/2006)
Response: I don't know for sure that you could fit it all in a pickup, which is why I suggested the small trailer. I would really hate to pay someone to go up there and end up not getting everything out and having to continue to pay for storage. Thank you though. (8/19/2006)
Question: Hi Interested in your move. We have a traier hitch my question is if we use your trailer does it also stay at the drop off desitnation? We would need an answer nlt 8 pm tonight as we leave early sat am for fl to move items to va ,md. If acceceptabe we will post a bid for you approval or denial.Do you have a target price in mind that we all can live with? Thank You Bill and Bob Retired Military Thank You Bill and Bob Retired Military (8/18/2006)
Response: I do not have a target price, would be open to ideas. The trailer needs to stay in rock hill, BUT you would be welcome to use it to move other things and then drop off with us last if that would help you any. (8/18/2006)
Question: what trailer are you referring too? are you are planning to rent one or do you already have one? (8/19/2006)
Response: I said I have a trailer I can loan someone to move the items, so long as they have a hitch. (8/19/2006)
Question: the reason I asked was above you said you had a triler I could use if I had a hitch. Does this mean your vehicles do not have a hitch? If you are open on dates, I am going to be in the Md. area and headed down to my home in Rock Hill in the range of Aug. 27-28 (8/19/2006)
Response: Sorry, not sure what relevence whether or not my vehicle has a hitch has on the situation. (8/19/2006)
Question: Hi! Interested in ur move! I have short-bed (6 ft) Pick-Up w/both size trailer balls - U have trlr, right? Can everything fit in P/U & ur trlr? Pls adv ASAP as I have other immediate commitments & appts so time is of essence here. Tks! ~(^..^)~ (8/19/2006)
Response: I am sure it will all fit in a pickup truck and my trailer. Your truck a v-8? Only ask because the trailer would be too heavy for a v-6 (8/19/2006)
Question: Oh! (I live near Rock Hill) -- Is closed cargo area necessary & is ur trlr closed? Pls adv ASAP..... Tks! ~(^..^)~ (8/19/2006)
Response: The trailer is fully enclosed (actually a 2 horse trailer, so plenty of space). (8/19/2006)
Question: Hi again! Re ur ?, my trk is a V-8 w/OPEN cargo area - will this do? "Pls adv ASAP....." Tks ~(^..^)~ (8/20/2006)
Response: As long as it can pull a horse trailer you would be more then welcome to use our trailer for the shipment. Open cargo area is fine, there are items that would not be damaged by elements, the rest can fit in the trailer. (8/20/2006)
Question: I was trying to understand the trailer part. You are in Rock Hill and so is the trailer? I am going to be travelling aouth from Ohio on the 27th and could stop by and get your items. I'll be driving a cargo van and pulling an 18 foot enclosed cargo trailer. Could this work for you? (8/20/2006)
Response: That certainly could work. (8/20/2006)
Question: I'm trying to work it out so we might help you if you do not have a service provider. We are hoping to leave for Euclid, Ohio the afternoon of the 25th and we could leave our intended route in Charleston W. Va. and go to Cumberland and pick up your items, and back to Charleston to resume our trip. From Euclid we go back through Rock Hill on the way to Atlanta. Your storage location is 450 miles round trip off our route which is about 8 hours driving and time, and gas and uship fees close to 200.00. About the lowest we could bid would be 375.00. If this is possible for you, as far as the dates and cost, please let me know. I am waiting on confirmation from our Euclid customer on our planned departure and arrival. We'd arrive in Cumberland very early on the 26th, and be in Rock Hill on Sunday morning before leaving for Ga. I am discussing this with you as a possibility. I would still need to hear from the other customer and also make sure my two enclosed vehicles will handle it all. (8/20/2006)
Response: I am not sure the dates would work out as we still would have to get keys to you etc. (8/23/2006)
Question: very sorry, I made an error in my previous comment. The lowest we could bid would be 475 not 375 (8/20/2006)
Response: I would have been thrilled with the other price, $475 isn't bad but I would want to look around more first. (8/23/2006)
Question: ok, shop around. I would be leaving from Rock Hill, so once you accepted my bid, once your searching is over and I can make a committment, then we can talk by phone and e-mail, and I can ride by your house and get the keys to the storage unit in Md. (8/23/2006)
Question: please clarify where your horse trailer is? We are out of colunbia sc and are still interested in this move. Thank You Bill and Bob Retired Military (8/24/2006)
Response: The trailer is at my home in Rock hill. A shipper would be welcome to borrow it if they would like. (8/24/2006)
Question: Hi Just done the math. Out price is $385.00 door to door. If we are of interest to you please respond and we will post a formal bid. Our timeframe is fexible. Thank You Bob Retired Army (8/24/2006)
Response: That is absolutely wonderful. Please post a bid whenever you have a chance. (8/24/2006)
Question: OOps major mistake in mileage need to redo Bob (8/24/2006)
Response: Alright, please let me know when you have a price. (8/24/2006)
Question: my bid is now for a schedulled pickup of your items on Sat. Sept 2 during our trip from Rock Hill to Ohio and back same day. We'll have a cargo van and enclosed trailer. I'll watch your listing and if you get lower bids we will try to re-calculate ours. If you have not found a service provider by August 31st, amybe we can help you on our trip to Ohio leaving Sept 1. (8/24/2006)
Response: K, thanks (8/24/2006)
Question: I can make this shipment right away for you. (8/24/2006)
Response: How much? (8/25/2006)
Question: still hoping to do this for you next weekend. I actually live about 2 miles from your destination area. We are planning to leave for Ohio around 5pm on Friday, the 1st. Arrive there in the morning, head back down and when we get to Charleston W Va go east to pick up your items, then south to Atlanta with possibly a stop in Rock Hill, so delivery would be late the 2nd or on the 3rd. Fully enclosed cargo van and trailer to secure your items. We'll keep you informed and watch your listing. (8/24/2006)
Response: Ok (8/27/2006)
Question: I can do it for $750. (8/25/2006)
Response: Thanks anyway, but I can take 2 days off of work if I need to and do it myself. (8/26/2006)
Question: is the storage unit accessible 24 hours a day and 7 days a week? We might try to run over to Cumberland from our intended route on Friday Sept. 1st, very late. (8/26/2006)
Response: Yes, 24/7. (no gates or anything) If I don't get any other reasonable bids I will be accepting yours within the next few days. (8/26/2006)
Question: ok thanks. My Ohio customer, which makes the trip possible, is waiting on the painters and carpet people to finish her home in Ga. The deadline in Sept. 1st and that would be the day we leave. I'll let you know as I soon as I hear from them and everything is confirmed. I'll watch your listing for other bidders too. (8/26/2006)
Response: k (8/29/2006)
Question: What price range are you looking for? (8/26/2006)
Response: We seem to be getting most bids in the high 400's to low 500's. (8/26/2006)
Question: I can give you some more info on our planned trip. The Ohio customer wants us there around 1pm on the 2nd. We plan to leave on the 1st. This should give us time to go to Cumberland either on the way up there or on the way back since they do not want us in Atlanta until 1pm on the 3rd. We may go straight to Cumberland from RH and then see the best way to get to Cleveland. Give me a day or so. Please do not accept our bid until I am certain this plan with the other customer is firm. But, we are more firm than we were last week. Can you try to remember the furniture pieces. I know you mentioned a dresser, twin mattress and some chairs? Any others that you can remember? (8/27/2006)
Response: LOL, that's the problem, this stuff has been in storage for almost 4 years now. There may be a water tank or two (for watering horses) a few hoses, the mattress is a full. There are a few items I am planning on leaving up there for the guy who owns the storage, chairs from a dining set I don't need anymore, but I can show you what they look like when you pick up the keys. (8/27/2006)
Question: if you are comfortable with our bid and our plans, you may accept our bid and then we can talk by phone and e-mail. Should something go wrong you and I can mutually retract the bid and you can choose another provider. We require a deposit also, as does your other bidders, but yours can be paid in person as I would come to your house to pickup the keys since we live near each other. We can only accept cash or money orders. Maybe $200 down payment would be good. We are also taking more than a van. We have a van pulling an 18 foot enclosed cargo trailer. If you wish to wait a few days an evaluate other bids please do. We would deliver your items to you late on Sunday the 3rd. (8/27/2006)
Response: You have a pretty competative bidder on here. Am still speaking with both of you to see who would suit our needs best. I appreciate your patience. (8/27/2006)
Question: yes a competetive bid. But, their last customer did not get 2 meet them since someone was sent without communication, check out the comment. You will meet me when I pick keys. Where are the keys by the way - Rock Hill I assume? We are preparing to transport your items this coming weekend, not over the next 3 weeks as some bidders. Also we have an enclosed cargo trailer in case of bad weather. Not an open trailer. Do u want your items to be ruined after protecting them for 4 years? We are going 450 miles out of our way to handle your delivery (Charleston WV round trip to Cumberland). I am not sure how anyone in NJ can bid 399 when their round trip gas will be close to 200 plus over 15 drive hours, etc. U now have more than one bid to consider. U may get more. The latest notice we need to handle your shipment would be an acceptance of our bid by 2pm on Friday. That gives time to come to your house for keys, meet u, discuss what items will be left behind. We are planning 2 leave 4-5pm Fri (8/28/2006)
Response: To be honest, I am VERY uncomfortable with you badmouthing other shippers without even knowing them. I am sure this gentleman did his reserch before bidding and probably has other stops planned along the way to supplement his travels. I may or may not accept your bid when I am ready to, but I sure don't need you trying to bring other people down in the process. All it does is make you look unprofessional, and I know I want a professional individual doing my hauling. Let your record speak for itself. (8/28/2006)
Question: I am very sorry, but we've lost jobs cause people list e-mail addresses & contact people outside Uship. I've read comments from other providers, in the Q&A & bid details, where they are very unkind 2 others, saying all sorts of false things. One got scorned cause he had 0 feedback. The poor guy needs jobs 2 get started. Everybody starts at zero. I am sorry my comments offended u, & I am so sure that some of it is part of the bidding process as providers compete 4 jobs, I am willing 2 withdraw my bid at your request. I only stated facts from the bid details. Nothing I said was false. If u wish 2 decline my bid "for any reason" or u accept someone else's bid or u delay your decision past our departure, I respect your decision completely. All providers new 2 this site get tired of being put down by other providers, it is frustrating & we've had our share. If we can help u, I look forward to meeting u, if not I hope u find a suitable provider & your items arrive safely and securely. (8/29/2006)
Response: Thank you, and I understand what you are saying. But everyone has the right to let their merits speak for themselves. I appreciate your understanding where I am coming from and will have an answer for you by thursday. Sorry if I came across as harsh. (8/29/2006)
Question: Hi We are still interested in your move and we are trying to fit somrthing else into it to make the trip worthwhile. We are out of Colunbia SC and hope to earn your move. Thank You Bill and Bob Retired Military (8/30/2006)
Response: Just keep me informed. (8/30/2006)
Question: I can do it for $450 this weekend. (8/30/2006)
Response: Actually if I have a choice for delivery, it would be mid month to have time to fix the roof of the garage where a tree fell on it, and where the items are going. Is the price good for this weekend only? (8/30/2006)
Question: We leave Rock Hill on Friday around 5pm for Hollywood Md. Then we head to Cleveland with an empty enclosed trailer and will pass near Cumberland. I can lower my bid to 450.00 if you like to match the other one you have. I'll be on my computer until 4pm. If you wish for us to handle your shipment I would need to know by around 3pm so I have time to come get the keys, discuss details, etc. I far as I know this is the only job I have for 2-3 weeks with my van-trailer. You are welcome to store your items in my trailer until mid month. It would be sitting here locked up off Annafrel St. Being 2 miles away, I could bring you the items as you are able to accept them. No storage charge, nothing just the Uship bid for the shipment. (8/31/2006)
Question: Hi Have an idea for you that will save you some money on our bid. If we can use your trailer prior to your move we would be willing to resumit a new bid providing we can get sone use out of it. We also need to know the ball size and if it is a pintle hook up we could not be of help to you. Toss this idea around and we also may be able to nove you earlier then you haved planned and store all your items in our large metal storage bldg. Thank You Bob (9/1/2006)
Response: You would be welcome to use it. It is a 2 horse trailer, the wiring was messed up when I bought it but the guy who delivered it for me fixed all of that :) I just would need to put air in the tires, they are low since it has been sitting for a few months. Trailer has been used for storage, not animals, so it is older but clean inside. (9/1/2006)
Question: Hi Thank you for your response. Have posted a bid on another move for 17 sep 06 if it is accepted we will rebid your move at $300.00 providing we use your trailer for both moves. What size ball hitch do you have we must know this. Thank You Bob (9/2/2006)
Response: Unfortunately I am out of town for the next few days and don't remember offhand what size the ball is. Maybe 2 inch but I am not sure. I get home the evening of the 4th, can you wait that long for an answer or will that throw you off? (9/2/2006)
Question: Hi Not a problem. I hope your time out of town is for fun, pleasure and relaxation. Contact me when you return. Bob (9/2/2006)
Response: will do, thanks! (9/3/2006)
