Question: it is impossible to make a accurate estimate based on info givin...most times when we take these it ends up being a large move...what kind of appliances and how many? chuck sr. (1/21/2008)

Response: The appliances are in boxes...coffee pots, toaster, blender, crockpot. When I stack it all together, it fits in about 6 feet long by 4 feet wide and about 4 or 5 feet tall. Im not sure what a large move is...but I'm pretty sure I dont qualify. I sold almost everything I own except for the essentials. I will post a photo in a few hours. (1/21/2008)

Response: well what do you intend to pay, if you don't mind my asking...thanks chuck sr. AnsonFarmTransport (1/21/2008)

Response: chuck, i don't mind. sorry for the confusion, i put up my initial target before i sold my couches, but forgot to account for it later. now i have substantially less to ship.
ultimately, my boxes should stack nicely into a small corner of a truck. aside from the boxes, i have one wood desk (that i prefer not to be scratched up), a small tv, and a couple of easels (that fold up). again, i have no appliances, couches, furniture, etc... (i sold most of my things last week).
my boyfriend said he shipped three or four times as much stuff as i have from ann arbor to LA using uship for $600 (door to door, both residential addresses, loaded and unloaded by the shipper). i am not expecting to pay one third of what he did, but think $350-$400 would be fair.
again, sorry for any confusion earlier. again, i am new to the site and am did not realize how detailed my description had to be. (1/22/2008)

Response: well i just typed you a long response and lost it all...the bottom line is we can't stay in business at those rates...your stuff will take up the same amount as a med. motorcycle and the bike would roll on and roll off for 599.00...you may get a better rate, but will you get the same service i don't no...what i do no is that guy wont be here next year...thanks for your time chuck sr. (1/22/2008)

Response: chuck sr, thanks just for the reply! i told my boyfriend what you said, and he mentioned that he shipped his motorcycle from colorado to ann arbor for $450. he also said that motorcycles require great care and thus lots of time in rolling them in and out so you don't drop or scratch them. my stuff is basically just a desk, tv, and 4x4x6 of boxes that can be quickly loaded with two or three trips of a dolly. i can see though that you guys have great feedback, and obviously care about what you ship. were money not a concern, i would have accepted your offer. however i am moving home to care for a sick family member, and need to start pinching pennies where ever i can. i hope you understand. i can see how my stuff might take up as much space as a motorcycle on a truck, and so i guess should not expect to pay less than what my bf did to ship his bike ($450). if something changes and you can ship for this amount, please let me know. best of luck to you and god bless!! (1/23/2008)

Response: well the point is your not in colorado...if you can load and unload with our help of course, we will take 499.00 (1/23/2008)

Response: i hurt my shoulder last week and so will be of little use in loading (though it really is only a one person job). my boyfriend said he would be happy to unload everything in michigan if you have a dolly he can use and talk to him about the day and time of arrival. so can you guys load and we unload? (1/23/2008)

Response: boy this has been fun i really have enjoyed our banter...that will work we will load and your boyfriend will unload and we will help some...for 499.00 door to door all inclusive and i will rebid so you can except...thanks chuck sr. (1/23/2008)

Question: About how many bins and boxes? If you were to stack everything together what might those dimensions be? Thanks, Brian (1/21/2008)

Response: It looks like it will fit in an area of 6 feet long by 4 feet wide if stacked about 4 or 5 feet tall. I am stacking it all together now and will take a picture in about two hours. Will that help? I'm sorry, but I've never done this before and its hard to know how much it weighs. (1/21/2008)

Response: That's fine. Dimensions are more important than the weight. The picture will help you get more/better bids too. (1/21/2008)

Response: photos are up (1/21/2008)

Question: When are you looking to have this shipped? Thanks Terry. (1/21/2008)

Response: This week if possible but flexible (1/21/2008)

Response: p/u wednesday/thursday? (1/21/2008)

Response: wednesday or thursday sound great! i typically finish work around 4pm. any chance the pick up could be after that? as for arrival time, i do not need the boxes/desk/easel to arrive at any given time. if this sounds feasible, please make an offer/bid so we can discuss financial details. (1/22/2008)

Response: I will have to get back with you tomorrow, Thanks Terry. (1/22/2008)

Response: any news? thanks!! (1/23/2008)

Response: My brand new truck broke down in El Paso, waiting on the parts. Do you have a target price? (1/23/2008)

Response: My target was $400, but the lowest bid I have received is $499. They have a great reputation as movers on this site and seem friendly, so I likely will be accepting their bid shortly. Feel free to make an offer if you think you can bid something much closer to my target. (1/24/2008)

Response: I can do this for $450.00 and pickup tomorrow, what would be your time frame? Thanks Terry. (1/24/2008)

Response: any time after 4pm will be fine for pick up, that way i can be there. if tomorrow is bad, saturday works too; i will be in the area through next week. as for the arrival time, it can arrive any time so long as you call a few times (day before arrival and again an hour before arrival) giving us notice first. please send a formal bid if this works.
(1/24/2008)

Response: We will be in your area within the next 2 to 3 days as to p/u, we will load this in my enclosed 48ft. trailer. I will submit a formal bid later tonite, thanks for your time, Terry. (1/24/2008)

Response: Please do submit the bid tonight; it would be a great help to have this decided sooner than later. Thanks for your interest! (1/24/2008)
