Question: Hello, Thank you for your bid request. We've been trying to reach you. For some reason the original bid request did not work. Because of the short notice, this would have to be a custom run. I doubt I can get anyone else on board this quick. Because of the rising fuel costs (over $4.40 in some areas)I will have to bid $2400. This would be for both ways picking up in pa on Friday on dropping off in WI on Sat, then returning to pa with 2nd horse on Sunday. It would include bedding, tolls, fuel. We can provide hay but would rather you do to not change diet. The horses would ride in a box stall. I really did try to work with Ashley to get this run done in advance but now because of the short notice, I may not even be able to do it unless you tell me ASAP so I can get coverage at my farm. Also we can do this run the first weekend of April for about $1700, but I understand you don’t want to wait. I will be checking back & forth this evening. Please let me know if I should bid. Thanks (3/18/2008)

Response: Hello, you had submitted a bid to Ashley for $2100 to pick up in Pa on Friday and then return from WI on Sunday with the pony. If you submit a bid for that price right now, I will accept it so we can get this setup. I understand that it is cheaper if we wait but I think it is best if we just complete this.
I will wait for your reply. (3/18/2008)

Response: Hello yes that is when I had someone sending a dog along but they backed out :( (3/18/2008)

Response: Hi Michelle,
I am leaving my office now and I won't be online again till tomorrow morning, 8Am cst. We need your bid to be lower, we just can't do 2400 as the 2100 was high, but doable. Thanks for working with us and let me know what you find out.

Response: Hello, please understand that we are not trying to get over on you. I gave Ashley a deadline of needing to know by & even extended that deadline. Because I could not commit in a reasonable amount of time I lost a run to Il that would have paid the difference & have to pay extra on my end to get someone to care for my farm in my absence on short notice. With that said $2400 is not even the normal going rate of $1 a mile, some charge more. Fuel costs are very high, not even including tolls, bedding, driver & mechanical costs. I understand if you do not wish to ship @ that price, but we really tried to make this work. If you do wish to ship with us this week I'll put the bid in, please understand that it is very expensive for us to do this run we are not charging too much it just costs that much to do, we would be barely covering our costs. If you do end up having to wait I hope you will consider us for $1700 in two weeks. I hope to be able to work with you. Thank You, Michelle (3/19/2008)

Response: Hi Michelle,
I want to thank you for your efforts to work with us but we just can't do that price right now. I apprieciate your time and consideration.

Response: Hi Lina thank you for your understanding. If you don't find transport in the next 2 weeks please let me know, I will be headed to WI on the 4th and can give you the better price. Thanks again, and good luck ! (3/19/2008)

Response: ok (3/19/2008)
