Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Thank you so much for your request. I am going to be in that area pretty soon. I loaned my ramps out and havent gotten them back yet, so is there a way to load it at pickup? Can this ride in the bed of a 1-ton truck? I use only soft nylon straps and slings made for bikes. Let me know and I can make a bid for this shipment. (7/30/2007)
Response:
I'm sorry, I have asked the guy I am buying this from if a loading ramp was available and he said there was not. He sometimes uses a dirt berm, but does not think that will load the bike. Thank you for your attempt. If your ramps show up I do belive the bike will fit in the bed of a long wheelbase 1-ton. I have loaded my Bike in the back of my 1-ton Dodge dually often. (7/30/2007)
Response:
I am going out there to deliver a car to a buddy of mine so I will have only my small flatbed trailer with me instead of my large auto carrier. If nothing else, I can load the bike on the front of the trailer. This trailer has a solid metal deck with a dove tail on the rear so loading on it should not be a problem at all and could load in almost any parking lot directly from the curb. Let me know your thoughts on this because I will be in the area and then will be heading to San Antonio and it would be nice to pick this up. Thanks again so much for your time. (7/30/2007)
Response:
I think with a dovetail you would be able to load the bike without to much trouble, I have a ramp in Uvalde, and if necessary we could find something there in San antonio to unload the bike at, a grocery store or something. I would have to ask for you to buy a cover for the bike unless the seller has one, he had not mentioned a cover coming with the bike. I am thinking somewhere in the 20-30 range to protect it from road debris and such especially loaded up at the front of the trailer. you may need to remove the windshield and saddle bags from the bike and carry them in the cab of the truck. Is this an option? When should I expect you in San Antonio if you do transport this and how much are we looking at? (7/30/2007)
Response:
Ok got the ramp deal taken care of so no prob at all for it to ride in the back of the truck. Just let me know. (7/31/2007)
Question:
Hello, I am booking spots for a run within the next two weeks. Enclosed and insured for $550. Please view my profile and if interested let me know. Thanks. (7/30/2007)
Response:
Your price is a litle more than another offer I had, but they may not be in an enclosed trailer, so that me be the cost differance, I have sent an e-mail asking if it is enclosed and how much insurance will be on my bike. It may very well be worth the extra $25.00 to go with you. I will get back with you soon. Do you have a date on when you should be able to arrive in Uvalde if I go with your company? Thanks (7/30/2007)
Response:
Right now I'm looking at pick up between the 6th and 9th and delivery estimated 3 to 5 days after pick up. Thanks. (7/31/2007)
Question:
Thanks for the request. Let us know if interested, and we will go from there. Thanks, cgklein01 (7/31/2007)
Question:
One spot left. Pick up 6th deliver 9th or 10th. let me know. (7/31/2007)
Question:
Ifyour ready to book this I will lower my offer and rebid $50 less. Let me know. (8/1/2007)
Response:
Sounds good, Enclosed Transport, $50,000 of insurance included and delivery of my bike to Uvalde Texas on or by the 10th of Aug. post the bid of 500.00 and I will accept it and get payment started. Thanks, (8/1/2007)
Question:
Gotta love uship (8/1/2007)
Response:
Thank you very much for the attempt to ship my bike, but I am going with the enclosed transport for a little more. Your price was great, but I think if you had answered all my questions we might have been able to do something, but the comment about the bike cover, the removal of the bags and windshield and the delivery date were not addressed. Thank you again for your time. (8/1/2007)
Response:
well for some reason that response didnt post! I said that wasnt a problem on the bags and window. I could remove or he could either way was fine with me. then I came back when I chased down my ramp. Not sure what happen to my post but I did respond. Guess it doesn't matter now. Thanks anyway. (8/1/2007)
Response:
I had a guy in Greenville that offered me his Bike last night, but I had already bought one, but I was going to help him sell it, I will be sure to tell the buyer about Uship and you also, It's been great to get back speedy responses. Thanks again. (8/1/2007)
Response:
Well not a problem at all and thanks for letting him know. Have a good day and take care. (8/1/2007)
