Additional Information: The sailboat is 18' long, the boat & trailer is 20' 3", the boat, trailer & mast is 28' 4" long. THe boat has been relocetd to Kiski, PA...Apollo, PA Zip Code 15613-9618. I will have to apply for a Colorado license plate for the trailer if you intend to tow the boat. I received a few bids that I'm interested in but I wasn't able to ask clarifying questions. Question: Hi! Check out my ratings by clicking on my name. Please let me know when you get the accurate maximum dimensions and weight including boat, trailer and all accessories. Will the trailer make it okay if I tow it? How will the mast be attached? It would have to be rigged so that it will clear up over the top of my van but not so high that it wouldn't clear underpasses and trees. Please let me know right away. Thanks! Dave (7/23/2007)
Response: Hi Dave, I could not ask another bidder questions about his bid. Are you still willing to tow the boat to Centennial, CO for the $799? Response: Hi Dave, I haven't decided on how to get the boat to Colorado or who to hire. I didn't think anyone would be willing to tow the boat to Colorado based on the miles. The PA plates expired. I will have to get CO plates before you could tow the boat. My concern with towing the boat is the number of miles & the speed at which you would drive the 8" tires. I've only towed the boat more than 2 1/2 hours once....700+ miles in 2 days. Your bid is about $93.00 lower than the bid to trailer the boat. You & your wife have glowing reviews! Who is responsible for secruing my boat & trailer to your trailer? Do you insure the boat & trailer? I have received outrageous bids & 2 reasonable bids....to tow on a trailer Vs a direct tow. Question: I can tow your Hobie to CO, I have a carrier/dealer plate so no messing around with getting plates and registration prior to delivery $1000 half up front owner responsibe for incidental repairs like replacement tire or berrings should they have a problem, I will grease prior to departure and check air. Response: Hi, I've emailed 3 other bidders for details to complete the transaction. First one to respond will have the job. Is this your business or a side job? The trailer & tires are in excellent shape but I don't know how the 8" wheels will hold up on a straight-through drive. Are you planning to take a few days to complete the drive? What are your payment terms? I wasn't planning on a tow so I will have to get plates for the trailer. My friend in Apollo has the title to the boat & trailer.
