OCEAN ROADS TRANSPORT LLC's Terms and Conditions
By accepting this bid you are agreeing to this Service Provider's Terms and Conditions.
Unless we have talked about other arrangements, below are our Terms & Conditions:
We do both Power Only on your trailer, and your load on our trailer. While most of the below applies to Power Only, some also applies to your load on our trailer.
If we arrive to tow your trailer or boat or load, and for some reason we can not due to no fault of our's (trailer not ready, bad axles/tires, trailer/boat already gone, etc.) a Truck Ordered Not Used, TONO, of $250 will be charged to you.
If our driver says your trailer is not safe to tow, we can get the trailer fixed at your cost, or we will go home and charge a TONO to you. We do not tow unsafe trailers!
If we are towing your trailer, we have a Florida transporter tag, LED light bar, and a lot of tools and knowledge to get the job done.
We average 500 miles per day. So if your shipment is 1075 miles, that is 3 days. A day is 24 hours from pick up time. Many times we arrive sooner then we estimate. Our trucks have the same rules as a big semis for Hours Of Service, HOS, the driver candrive. A driver can drive up to 11 hours, AFTER 10 hours off duty. Due to DOT laws, sometimes a driver may have to wait up to 34 hours at a truck stop for his HOS clock to reset. Weather, traffic, breakdowns, HOS, etc. are all out of our control, and may cause us to arrive later then estimated, and no discounts will be given.
At pick up we will wait two hours free for trailer/boat/load to be ready from our agreed upon pick up time. If we have to wait longer then 2 hours before we can start prepping the boat/trailer/load and hooking up, we will bill $25 per hour, one hour min. Same thing at delivery. If we have to wait more then 2 hours to start the delivery process from the agreed delivery time, $25 per hour.
If the trailer has an issue in route such as tires, bearings, brakes, lights, etc. you have two options:
1. If driver is able, driver will fix the issue. This will only be done in a safe place such as truck stop, parking lot, rest area. Not on the side of a busy road. Repairs are done at $75 an hour, one hour min., plus parts.
2. We will bring to the repair shop of your choice. Every mile added to the haul will be billed at $2 a mile, ($5 on oversize loads), plus any tolls.
For every day of travel, we allow 2 hours of free down/breakdown time. This means, if you have a 1075 mile haul, 3 days, we will wait up to 6 hours while the trailer is being working on (this is total delay time, not time allowed each day, not counting pick up & delivery waiting time). After this it is $25 per hour waiting, $75 per 6 hours. Max $250 per day. If it is late in the day near the time the truck would stop driving, we may be able to cut a deal on delay charges.
If the trailer lights go out, we have a LED light bar to place on the trailer and keep going. If the brakes go out while in route, and the driver determines the truck has enough power to continue safely and stop the trailer, we will add $0.25 per
