Question: Hi, I'm just wondering if you could give me the dimensions of the large ottoman and will there will be load/unload help? If so please review my profile and positive feedback and let me know if you'd like me to place a bid. Thanks --Duane Sharrai, Nampa, ID (7/30/2007)

Response: Hi-
It's actually more of a storage bench. It's about the width of a queen sized bed, and about 15 inches deep. It's no taller than a bed. It's made from cheap IKEA wood and I store my blankets and towels in it.
I won't need any help packing, and I estimate the entire loading time to take less than 1 hour (I only live in 400 square feet and this was a temporary home). I think I'll have less than 20 boxes that are Boise Cascase paper boxes (small) and my father could help me load the items. The estimates I've gotten are all for company's minimums of 1000 lbs, and I doubt I have anywhere near that amount.

Response: Unfortunately I will be out of the area by the 18th. The latest I could do the p/u for you would be the 11,12,or 13th. If it's possible for the p/u to happen on one of these dates or sooner, please let me know and I would be happy to place a bid. --Duane (7/30/2007)

Response: Hi-
I could always just keep what I need to stay here and haul it myself in my car. What would be the total package with your company? I really do not have that much stuff, and I'll be putting as much as possible in my sedan. Those are the only pieces of furtniture I have, the rest is clothes, books, files etc. You can't keep much in a converted 2 car garage.
Cheers!

Response: As soon as you're able to, give me the OK and I'll place the rebid. Thanks --Duane (7/31/2007)

Response: The only change I'm possibly going to see happen so far is the elimination of the storage bench (I'm trying to sell it). At this point I still have what was on the original bid request and "might" have a change in the number of boxes once everything is in a box. I think I read you're a mover who does the packing, so is my doing my own packing going to mess anything up?

Liz (8/1/2007)

Response: Your doing packing won't mess anything up. uShip recently made some changes with all the services provided, titles, and such; each job could end up being a different classification than the next. The most important aspect to all of this is the actual communication between you and I. As soon as you accept my bid, we can clear a lot of this up on the phone. According to how your listing is now, my price will be as the bid shows. If there is significantly less, then we'll go with the other price I gave in the "bid chat". In the event that you have significantly less, I would make a completely new bid. From the conversation we have had so far, I think we can stick with this current bid and I'll take what you have listed here. Thanks --Duane Sharrai, Nampa, ID (8/1/2007)

Response: Hi-
Thanks for getting back to me. I just wanted to make sure that you know what I have to be moved. I was guesstimating on the number of boxes, and I just wanted to make sure you knew that. Oh, how much does your insurance cost? Let's say I did $10,000 in value.
Cheers!
Liz (8/1/2007)

Response: Since having the insurance is something that you need, when accepting my bid I think you will save money if you choose to use uShip's insurance. When charging a customer for insurance, I pass along my cost only, but it would still be about $170 for $10,000 worth of coverage and about $50 for $3000. This would be a cost outside of my bid. You can see these rates at http://www.grw-products.com/Cargo%20Insurance.htm. I think uShip has lower rates though, so when accepting my bid, be sure to choose that option when they ask you if you want insurance. Hope this was helpful -Duane (8/1/2007)

Response: Hi Duane-
When I called uShip yesterday, they walked me through the bid acceptance and I did a quote for $10,000 and it was $250, so I think your rate is actually much better.
If you can pick up either evening of the 12th of August or anytime on the 13th of August, I'm ready to accept the bid. And if you're able to deliver by the 16th, my dad can help unload the mattress, storage bench, and kitchen table. The boxes don't require 2 people.
regards,
Liz
Cheers!

Response: OK, sounds good. I'll get the insurance for you and will p/u on the eve of the 12th or during the day on the 13th and will deliver by the 16th. Thank you. -Duane (8/1/2007)
