Additional Information: I will be moving my bedroom furniture and boxed belongings into storage on Dec. 1, then into my new apartment (zip - 11238)on Dec. 15. The storage unit is only a few blocks from my current apartment, and is about a mile and a half from my new apartment. Ideally, I would like someone who would be able to do both steps of my move, but I will consider using separate movers. PLEASE NOTE: The target price is for BOTH portions of my move. If you would like to bid on one part and not another, I would break it out as $50 for the first portion of the move, and $75 for the second portion. The apartment I am moving out of is on the 3rd floor of a walk-up, the storage unit has elevators, and my new apartment is on the ground floor. My furniture is very light weight (ikea) and not bulky, so I expect this to be a quick, easy move in both directions! Report a Violation

Question: THERE IS NO WAY IN THE WORLD YOU WILL BE ABLE TO GET A PROFESSIONAL MOVER TO DO THE MOVES AT THE PRICES YOU ARE OFFERING. (11/20/2007)
Response: That's technically not a question. And yes, this is a TARGET price, and a basis for negotiation. This is an easy, light-weight job that will take no longer than a couple of hours either way, does not involve the need for a large truck, and is within 6 blocks in one direction and a mile and a half the other. There is no way in the world that I would pay $895 to move less than 5' x 10" worth of light-weight things such a close distance. If there is anyone who will be dropping off a shipment in Brooklyn, and has a couple of hours in between heading to another destination, please contact me! (11/20/2007)
Response: $895 IS A FLAT PRICE TO DO THE 2 MOVES.IT INCLUDES LOADING,UNLOADING,GAS,MILES,LABOR,TAXES,MOVING BLANKETS,30 DAYS FREE STORAGE AND INSURAMCE.IT ALSO INCLUSE THE USHIP DEPOSIT FEE AND IT IS A FLAT PRICE REGARDLESS OF HOW LONG OT TAKES TO DO YOUR MOVE. (11/20/2007)

Response: Hi. All of my furniture is Ikea, and the bed will be taken completely apart. The matress would be the most difficult part of the bed, the headboard and footboard are actually quite light. I will take all of the drawers out of the dresser, and can help with it, not a problem. Would you be bidding on both parts of the move, or just the move into storage or the move out of storage?
