Response: As of today I do not have it, but I will get one if this way is more reasonable. Thanks for taking the time to ask.7/12/2008Report a Violation
Response: I can arrange it I was just not sure from the listing. When are you looking to do this?7/16/2008Report a Violation
Response: I was hoping to get it on the ship before the end of this month, but we're having a difficult time locating a 20' container. We may just have a plywood "van" made to place on a pallet or something like that. Would that work for you? How do you think the dates would work? If not, what dates do you think kwould work?7/16/2008Report a Violation

Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. We can assist you with your shipment. We will work on getting you a quote tomorrow, Monday, mahalo.Report a Violation
Response: Thank you very much for moving so fast for me. Now comes the difficulty of selling the cost to my husband. I'll cook him a nice meal and make sure he's in a good mood before I show him the figures. It's wonderful that you have somebody in Oahu that can hold the van-packs until we have enough to send them on their way. Please be patient with me one more day. I will let you know tomorrow what we CAN do (it is getting closer to what we "want" to do. Mahalo, and until tomorrow.7/23/2008Report a Violation
Response: No problem. May I suggest at dinner time to turn down the lights, light the candles and a good shoulder massage wouldn't hurt also. I know it works on me with my wife. Good luck. Just let me know, mahalo.7/23/2008Report a Violation
Question:

Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. again. Need to verify the contents of your shipment. Are you shipping furniture or boxes only. Neeed to know if if palletized if boxes only, mahalo.Report a Violation
Response: Hello Mr. Donohoe (are you related to Mike that works for the Dept. of Land?) Please correct me if I'm wrong; my understanding is that if we want to send the 4 vanpacks dierectly from Kona to Austin, via Honolulu the total cost will be $ $5,932.00 If we send them only to Honolulu and store them for a month and then send them to Austin, then it would be $1,333.00 including one month's storage with the balance of $4,599.00 paid to you prior to shipping? I understand that with the oil prices it will be hard to hold the quote for more than 30 days, but could we do that? We just don't have that much at this time. If the business sells, then we will, but it's been difficult. We'd like to accept the bid if the above is correct. Please confirm so we can hit the "Accept" button and make it official. Thank you VERY, VERY much. 7/24/2008Report a Violation
Response: Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Thanks for your reply. The cost would be $1333 up front. This would cover trucking to the Kawaihae Harbor from Kailua Kona, transit on YB Barge to Port of Honolulu and then 1 month's storage. Seeing if you can put down an additional $750 deposit toward the shipping charges for the $1333 is the actual cost for all of the services listed. PLEASE remember that you have to get a fork lift at the origin to load the truck. This is a must, mahalo. 7/24/2008Report a Violation
Response: Thanks Mr. Donohoe. I am working on the forklift and the money. A decision or commitment must be made by Monday. Thanks for your patience.7/25/2008Report a Violation

Question:
7/20/2008
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. We can assist you with your shipment. First, you do not need a 20' container for you do not have enough to fill one. This would be a waste of money. We can ship your shipment as ocean freight consolidation port-to-port then have the your 4 crates trucked via LTL to Austin, TX. See "View Bid Details" for information, mahalo.Report a Violation
Response: Hello Mr. Donohoe, We're having a very difficult time getting the van boxes delivered one at a time at the storage facility. They do not want us blocking the roadway inside. The Co.that supplies them wants to drop them all of at the same time. I'm hoping the trucker you have can come and pick them up one at a time and put them somewhere until they are all filled up and ready to go. One of the boxes goes to a second location 4 blocks from the first, so you can see that the minute you get our of the box (pun intended) nobody knows what to do. Please do bear with me. If we need to rebid, I hope you still have a heart to do so, you're my ticket our of here! Thank you, Isable8/2/2008Report a Violation
Response: Hi Isbale, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. I apologize for not replying back earlier. We have resubmitted another quote due to our previous quote had expired. I had to raise the quote though due to they have announced a fuel surcharge increase from 38.75% to 42.25% effective 08/31. In regard to the pick-up & delivery of the van boxes, the trucking companies here in Hawaii charge by the hour from the time they leave their terminal till the time they return. So is you have the van boxes dropped off & picked up 1 at a time, it will get quite expensive. What we have done in the past here on Oahu, even though is more work, is to get a 17ft truck with a lift gate. Load it at where your items are now & then take it to a staging area to load the van boxes. More work but will save you a lot of money. See if where they have the van boxes at will let you load them there. Let me know, mahalo.8/6/2008Report a Violation

Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. We have submitted a quote for shipment. This is port-to-door only with delivery being "curb side only." See "View Bid Details" for information, mahalo.Report a Violation
Response: Hello William, Does this mean that I´ll have to find someone to lift the boxes from the sidewalk and place them inside the storage unit? I´m doing my best to get my bank to let me use the money I received from my sister on Friday, but because it´s from out of state I will not be able to use them until Saturday. i´m trying to see how else we can get this deal sealed. Thanks for your patience Isabel.9/22/2008Report a Violation
Response: Hi Isabel, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Thanks for your reply. I am not sure I understand what youa re asking me in reagrd to lifting the boxes up into the storage units. Let me know. I have to go pick up a shipment now. I will follow up when I reuturn this afternoon. Don't worry everything will work out okay, mahalo.9/22/2008Report a Violation
Response: Hello William, What I meant is that we have cardboard boxes and plastic containers that are being placed inside the wooden boxes for shipment, but it has to be done at their place because the owner is on vacation and they cannot release them until he´s back (...lucky we live Hawaii! :) Today´s my last day in Kona, I leave for TX tomorrow, but my husband will stay here another month to make sure everything´s OK. How do you recommend that we get a price from Young Brothers to ship the boxes to you? Won´t I need a destination address? Please let me know. Thanks, Isabel9/24/2008Report a Violation
Response: Good morning Isabel, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. How are you doing today? In regard to the boxes and plastic containers if that is all you are shipping then you do not need to place them crates. You can stack them on pallets. You will need to shrink wrap them tightly though. You will only need to use crates / boxes if are shipping furniture. Not using the wooden boxes / crates will cut down on your cost by not having to buy them. Let me know what you decide to do on this. In regard to Young Brothers, the cost of shipping 480 cubic feet (160 cubic feet for each crate x 3) is approximately $530. When they are taken down to the Young Brother dock you will have to fill their bill of lading. You will write in The Shipping Shack, Inc. as the consignee. We will pick up your shipment at Young Brother's dock here on Oahu and then take them to our staging area in Mapunapuna, north of the airport, to be loaded into the ocean container (cont'd)9/24/2008Report a Violation

Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. I apologize for not getting back with you sooner. I have your quote to pick up & ship the 4 crates from there on Kailua Kona to Oahu. The charge is an additional $1945. This is due to the size (total cubic feet) of the crates. Let me know what you decide to do, mahalo.Report a Violation
Response: Hello William, I have already landed in Austin, but my husband is not done with the packing. I will check the funds amount and have him hurry. I should be able to get back in touch with you tomorrow, Oct.9. You have the patience of Job! Thank you truly Isabel10/8/2008Report a Violation

Question:
7/24/2008
Hello, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. I have a trucking company that can pick-up your 4 crates to take them down to YB Barge so that they can be sent to the Port of Honolulu here on Oahu. They can do this for $250. You will need to find someone or a business there that has a fork lift to load the crates onto the truck. If the crates are in a business district, someone close by should be able to load these for you. The YB Barge charges are approximately $627 if the crates are stackable $803 if not. You are looking at approximately $877 to $1053. This is much cheaper to do this way then the quote I gave you earlier of $1945. Let me know what you decide to do. Hope the dinner went well, mahalo.Report a Violation

Hi Isabel, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Just seeing how it is going, mahalo.Report a Violation
Response: Hello William, My 3 boxes will be stuffed on Saturday rhe 27th of this month. I need to talk with Young Brothers to see how soon we can bring them before sailing and then have them dropped off with them. As soon as I have the number I´ll forward it to you (assuming that I have your Ph· by then), so you can take over in Oahu, all the way to Austin. I´m flying there on Thurs. and will have the exact address for delivery. I´ll be punching the ACCEPT button right after this, but I need to ask that you check the amount when you see the shipment, just to make sure I didn´t over estimated it. Thanks and I look forward to talking to you later Isabel9/21/2008Report a Violation
Response: Hi Isabel, this is William Donohoe from The Shipping Shack, Inc. Thanks for your reply. Sounds great! In regard to contact information, U-Ship will provide to each of us once you accept the quote. For the charges, there are 2 different equations that are used for your shipment. The port-to-port(ocean) is totally based on cubic feet (L x W x H divided by 1727). The port-to-door(ocean to residence) is based on dividing the weight of each box/crate by the cubic feet for that particular piece. This gives the density for that particular piece. Then I have to cross reference that in the DOT NMFC to find the DOT classification for that particular piece. This determines the cost per mile for the trucking. So your ocean charges should be the same for it was calculated totally on cubic feet being the size of the boxes/crates. The trucking might vary some due to any weight variance. Usually there is not much difference in the trucking if the DOT classification stays the same, mahalo. 9/21/2008Report a Violation
Question:
9/24/2008
(cont'd) I have the name of the trucking company to pick up your shipment once it is crated and/or palletized. U-ship rules forbid me to give it out here. They quoted me the price of $525 for your 3 crates. I can give it to you once you accept our quote. You will pay the trucking company directly also. I did not include either of these charges in our final quote [NOTE: per uShip rules, bids must be all inclusive]. It is our policy to accept payment only for services once a shipment is "in our hands." Let me know if you have any other questions. We are here to help, mahalo. In Violation
