Questions for this shipment:
Question:
Can you have the riggers put lathe on 2 6x6 timbers the length of lathe? We will be able to load onto our roll back type trailer. We would do this for your target price as well. I will just need to know when you need this done and when timbers or riggers are able to load. The lathe would get shrink wraped befor we start transporting it. Thanks, Chris (11/15/2005)
Response:
Hello Chris Thanks For Your Interest By A Roll Back Trailer Are You Talking About A Car Hauler?Keep In Mind The Lathe Weighs 9000 Pounds And As Far As Loading It On 6x6 I Would Need To Check With The Riggers And Unfortunately I Still Need To Find A Rigger To Load This Machine So I Will Have To Get Back To You Next Week Sometime Thank You. David: (11/15/2005)
Question:
I am not 100% sure this will work but I have going from Port Clinton Ohio to New Bedford MA on Wed - Tomorrow! I am going out there with a 15,000 lb boat trailer I would have to move a few things arouind on the trailer but it could work. I would also need to load as early as possible, then drive straigh through. Your target price would be fine. Let me know asap! (11/15/2005)
Response:
Like I Mentioned In The Ad The Lathe Needs To Be Paid For Before Pickup Unfortunately It Is Going To Take Some Time To Coordinate Things As I Still Need To Find A Rigger To Load The Machine So Unfortunately This Week Will Not Work But Thank You For Your Interest. (11/15/2005)
Question:
Hi, I can do this move, adn can do it for the target price. What does the base of the lathe look like? Does it sit on 4-6-8 "feet" or does it have a traditional flat bottom, or a hollow surround base? This would kinda let me know what equiopment to bring wiht me to load it (I'm coming form NJ). Also, where is the machine in relation to a loading dock or garage door? (is it near a door or does it have to be lifted over/aorund things?- straight out, turned, tilted?) let me know! Thanks! Dan (11/15/2005)
Response:
Hello Dan This Is David Again About Transporting My CNC Lathe I Have Decided It Is Best If I Get Someone With A Forklift To Load Machine I Need To Know A Few Things First Does Your Tailer Have A Raised Lip On The Sides And How High Is The Bed It Would Be Sitting On From The Ground And Can You Tarp Or Wrap The Machine To Protect It I Hope To Find Someone With A Forklift In The Next Few Days And Hope To Do This Move By The Middle Or End Of Next Week 11-23 or 11-25. I Think If Your Bed Has No Lip On The Sides It Would Be Fine But If There Is A Lip It May Be Difficult To Load And Unload With A Forklift Please Let Me Know Thank You. David: (11/15/2005)
Question:
As long as the equipment can be loaded byu forkilift or is close enough to be winched out (and you dont think any damage would be done to the leveling feet) I don't see why I couldnt do the job. Let me know when you find out the rest of the particulars... thanks! -Dan (11/18/2005)
Question:
my bed is 92" wide between the rails. The raisl stick up about 4". and the bed is about 4' off the ground. I have never tarped any machinery I've had on the bed, so I'm not sure how to approach that. I've had several things loaded by forklift and they did seem to have any problems with the rails. let me know... -Dan (11/18/2005)
Question:
I can do this move for $1200.00/insured. I just got back from moving a load of equipment exceeding the weight of this piece. Let me know ASAP...thanks! (11/19/2005)
Response:
Hello And Thank You For Your Interest I Think I Have Someone To Transport This For Me Already But If Anything Changes I Will Let You Know Thank You. David: (11/19/2005)
