  • Hammond organ and Leslie speaker in Iowa
  • Description: I need a full sized hammond c2 organ and leslie 31h speaker shipped from Dubuque, Iowa to Iowa City, Iowa. The organ weighs a little over 400 lb and the speaker is btwn 150 and 200 lbs. The leslie speaker stands about 5 ft tall.
  • Length:4 ft.
  • Width:2 ft. 5 in.
  • Height:3 ft. 2 in.
  • Weight: 420 lbs.
Packaging:
Both items require shipment with furniture blankets and secured to the trailer. I would suggest moving the organ with at least two people and roll-or-kari dollies. A hand cart and two people should be able to move the leslie.
Special Handling Instructions:
The items are located in a basement accessed from around the house and up a medium slope grass hill. At delivery, the items require moving down a medium sloped grass hill to the basement.

Question: uShip will request a deposit, which covers our service provider fees. The balance is due in cash upon delivery for payment. We pad wrap all furniture we move. We are professional movers, not freight haulers. We give your goods the 'white gloves' treatment. Quote includes Released Rate coverage of $.60/lb. Full Replacement Value Coverage is additional. This quote assumes that there are less than 4 steps at both locations and nothing restricting access for a large truck or semi causing a distance more than 100 feet from truck to door. Response: Hi, not sure what the question is above... but we are interested in receiving a quote on shipping! There are no stairs involved in the move, just up and down grass hills to the rear of the house at both pickup and delivery. Roll-or-kari dollies would be extremely helpful for moving the hammond.. it is heavy and awkward. Since you are based in Iowa City, I thought this would be a good match. Thanks, Shane (5/22/2007)

Question: Sorry about that. I was in a hurry while using the internet at a truckstop last night and I cut and pasted in the worng blurb. We would love to help you out with this. Our charges for this would be $2.20/mi plus labor. Figure on about $430.00 total. What kind of a time frame were you looking to move this in? (5/22/2007)
