Question: I can pick this up and do the proper packaging and shipping for $245. Let me know and I'll bid. (10/31/2006)
Response: I found and signed up for USHIP two days ago so please excuse me if I ask dumb questions. I need fast answers to all my questions before I can make a decision on shipping. The toner cartridges in this printer have been removed, but it is still fragile and needs to be protected from ANYTHING being sat on top of it. 1. Exactly how would you package it. 2. What type of transport or courier will you use? 3. What hours are you available to pick up this unit. Weekends of evenings are best, but other arrangements can be arranged? 4. This unit need to be insured against damage for at least $2000. Is that included? 5. How do you get paid? PayPal? Discover Card? I have only used UPS for shipping things in the past and they have broken way too many of them so I am very careful to ask for a lot of details. This printer can not sit in the direct sunlight or in hot areas fora long time or be exposed to rain or excessive moisture. It can't ship in an open trailer for shipping. Thanks, James (11/1/2006)
Question: If this unit is used you'll have to purchase excess insurance. As for the packaging,I'll build a crate for it so it won't be damaged in transit. I submit a formal bid with the extra insurance. See if you ship this and it was to get damaged you would get $.25 per pound buy any carrier and they don't tell you that until you try to get paid for the damage. If the printer was new you would get $25 per pound. so, if the unit is new you won't need the extra ins. Let me know so I can give you the correct price. (11/1/2006)
Response: Did you get my last email requesting your hours of available pick times? Please submit your bid ASAP. The person you are picking up from works 9-5 and has an hour travel time to and from work. He would rather do the pick up on the weekends or after 6, but if that is not possible, he can arrange to be at home at a specific time to meet you. Please respond ASAP. Thanks, James (11/2/2006)
