Question: Bert, I can easily haul this for you. I have hauled many aircraft, and I am familiar with Auto Gyros. Being an aircraft you really need someone who knows something about them. With an inexperienced transporter care for crucial parts may get overlooked. I know the route well to, I just transported a BD4 experimental aircraft from Reno to Dallas. My only problem is I can not get close to your desired price. My best price is $1200. Check out my profile and feedback, we are pros, and know aircraft very well. Question: I could do this before thanksgiving for 700, on open 1 car hauler....but you would need to secure the cargo insurance on gyro...been flat bed trucking big and small for years, aint nothing i cant secure to a trailer, without damaging...I do three wheel electric cars on occasion...will be in az around 11-13-11-15 or so....lmaxwell (11/7/2006)
Response: Hi Imaxwell - Your offer sounds great but I have several questions. I don't know anything about securing cargo insurance on this. How is this done? Through U-SHIP?? The person I bought this from will be gone from 11-19-06 to 11-24-06 and I will be out of town from 11-11-06 through 11-23-06. Question: hello bert.....uship home page.."tips and guidelines..takes you to a few choices of insurance coverages. pay on line...rate is about .80 cents per $100.00.....should'nt cost more than 150.00 @ the value of the copter.....I might can negotiate a bit on bid to help offset that cost.........check it out, see if it would work for you. only problem is, I cannot make it to AZ before seller leaves. and his return date is too far off......we may have to play this by ear for a while. unless he can arrange someone to meet carrier for pick-up when he's gone...or perhaps you can book with someone quick to just get it done now......either way, good luck with it.......I'll watch your ad over coming days (11/8/2006)

Response: Tom - Thanks for your inquiry. I don't know what size your enclosed box trailer is but here are the dimensions on the gyro. It is 148" long, 74" wide and 79" tall. The guy that I have bought it from thinks it weighs about 500 lbs but my guess is that it is probably closer to 300 lbs or so. It is easily wheeled around on its tricycle gear. Right now it is being kept in a single car garage. I know that the seller would be willing to assist in loading it. I'm guessing that it may be too tall for your trailer.
