Additional Information: Motor home has been in storage over a year. It is located in Texas and needs to go to Arizona. I am currently in Idaho and plan to be in Texas around the end of October. The measurements submitted our guesstimates, but should be fairly accurate as the scale on the photo shows. It is a barebones rig containing minimal excess weight, however I can only guess the weight at this distance. I will be following with a trailer. Time is flexible, but I would like to get it moved by the end of the year. Motor home runs and can be driven on an off of trailer. I would love to be able to drive this and if I could, I'd drive it myself! The engine has 80 miles on it, but I think I have an inherent problem with overheating, due to it being a pusher with a gasoline engine. While rebuilding the engine I installed two extra cooling fans but they are untested. I have had to have it towed three times, at six hundred dollars a whack. Due to the height, I believe it will require a lowboy trailer. I will consider any and all bids. Report a Violation

Questions for this shipment:

Question: can the motorhome be driven to az?????? gary a1americanmovers.. (8/24/2008)
Response: Thank you for your interest. I would prefer that it be towed or trailered. Due to the height, I believe it will require a lowboy trailer to be a legal. (8/25/2008)
Question: If being driven is an option it will be cheaper than your book it now and I would offer our services if you think our profile and feedback are adequate. (8/24/2008)
Response: Thank you for your interest. I would prefer that it be towed or trailered. Due to the height, I believe it will require a lowboy trailer to be a legal. Please feel free to bid this job if you are appropriately equipped. (8/25/2008)
Question: Thank you for your bid request. Yes, you will need a lowboy, with 35 feet of low deck to put it on. I am not properly equipped for that. You may be able to get it moved with oversize permits, but I am not sure what the states would require. Another possibility would be a long distance tow. If this goes on a standard semi trailer or step deck over 2' you will be over height. Kevin (Big Sky Transport) (8/26/2008)
Response: Thank you for the reply. The last job you did for me went so well, I would like to use your shipping services again. I'll look into the tow truck idea, but don't know if UShip handles that sort of transport. Let me know if you stumble across a low boy in the next few months! Thanks again. (8/26/2008)
Response: Yes, they have a bit of everything here, but if you get a bid from a broker, make sure that they comprehend the job requirements before accepting the bid, so you don't end up with a cancellation when they send a 48' flatbed that can't do it! Kevin (8/26/2008)
Question: I have the low boy and could transport this RV for you in Oct for 3k+ or- 2or3 for fuel price changes. Let me know here on this site. Steven SAFEtrux (8/30/2008)
Response: I've looked at your feedback and profile, and you will certainly be on my short list. Are you referring to "Big Tex" in picture number four? I think October might work if you can do it without me. I would have to make some arrangements at the storage yard to have it ready, but you might be on your own unloading in Yuma. It has air brakes and suspension, so will need to be serviced before you could load. I can check at the storage yard to see if they will do this. It will be going to a RV Park in Yuma, and you should be able to just drive it off your trailer and park it. Let me know if you're interested. Your price would be OK as this would save me driving about 3500 miles. I could not be there till late Oct. But there is enough time to make arrangements for payment, etc. (8/30/2008)
Response: Yes that is the trailer. I have used it to haul inop class A motor homes all year. As long as your unit runs it will be no problem to load solo otherwise things get REAL BIZZZZY! lol Steven SAFEtrux (8/30/2008)
Response: Thank you Steven for your interest. From all appearances, you have a first class operation. If you want to make a bid, I think we can do business. If you can book this load in late October, I would be able to meet you in Yuma, thereby eliminating alot of pre-arranging. Please be aware that the weight is just a guess. When my other motor home was loaded, it was 4000 pounds heavier than I thought.(see my story) All the references that I have for this motor home are in it! You should not have to load it solo, as the manager of the storage yard is a friend, and will help. I'll be happy to answer any further questions you may have, and look forward to your bid. (8/31/2008)
Response: I will submit a formal bid after this week. I cannot nail down a shipment that I "PROMISED" to run.(relatives) So, time line is fuzzy this week. The price will be @ $3300 includeing insurance. Shipping would happen the week of the 15th. Sound OK with you? Steven SAFEtrux (9/7/2008)
Response: Sounds good, I'm still waiting to hear back from Texas. The work on that end should be minimal. It has six batteries that just need to be switched on, and it should start. You would be welcome to use any of its facilities while on the road. We can talk about that later. I am working on arrangements at both ends and my timeline is a very flexible. Later is better for me. I would need to know your ETA for Yuma as I will be traveling from Idaho at the same time. The following week would be better for me as I would like to be in Yuma before you get there. I can camp in the desert and be just a few hours away. Your price is good. (9/8/2008)
Question: I would love to help you out. but could do this for nothing less than $3/mi, depending on how far we actually haul it. (8/30/2008)
Response: Your profile shows that you have a 44 foot enclosed trailer. I am skeptical whether this would haul this rig. How tall is it? Does your trailer have a side door? Is your profile up to date? (8/30/2008)
Response: i do appologize, i have multiple trailers, on this move i would be using my open car hauler (8/30/2008)
Question: Is that a confirmed 11'6" height? (9/5/2008)
Response: I'm afraid it is a guesstimate. The photo used in picture two is of a different rig, same year and model. It appears to have the airbags collapsed. I am 2500 miles away and unable to provide an actual measurement. Thank you for asking, I hope this helps. (9/5/2008)
Response: OK. I could move it for $2.50 mile. Let me know. Thanks. Jeremiah (9/5/2008)
Response: Thank you for your interest. I have been told that this will need a low boy trailer, and don't see one in your photos. If you are over height and need permits, will this be a problem? Will it increase cost? If you have read my response to Steven, see if that arrangement will work for you. I am very flexible on my shipping times and could meet you anywhere in the Yuma area in late October or early November. I don't think I could possibly be there earlier than the 15th. (9/7/2008)
Response: Do you still need this shipped? Thanks. Jeremiah (9/15/2008)
Response: Yes I do! I've made arrangements to have the rig serviced and ready for pickup. Just drive it on, release the air, and tie er down Unfortunately I cannot contact anyone in Katy right now because of the hurricane, and have authorized my friend to use it until power is restored. Time is still very flexible, but would prefer sometime in the last 2 weeks of Oct. as I need to get out of Idaho before the snow flies. It is located just two blocks from I 10 so should not be affected by any of the flooding or road damage going on now. I could take delivery at Interstate 8 and 16th. My bank has a branch nearby. Thank you for your interest, and the new photo. (9/16/2008)
Response: Hello. I am going to be moving a large RV on my trailer from CA to Galveston, TX this coming week. I could take yours on the return trip. Let me know if interested. Thanks. Jeremiah (9/26/2008)
Response: Thank you! I'm definitely interested. Keys and instructions are in Texas. I haven't heard if he has started it yet. He hasn't contacted me about any problems! Could be good news. Can you winch on and off if needed? My spot in Yuma is ready. The big hurdle will be payment! I bank with Wells Fargo and could arrange a wire transfer. If you use that bank, all the easier. I also have a paypal account which is really quick. Ideas? You will have to ask another question to continue this dialogue. I will try to contact my friend in Katy asap. Hopefully by Monday we will still have a banking system. I will check with my bank on Monday and see if they can offer any other suggestions. (9/26/2008)
Response: Actually that is the only way I do payment is by Bank Wire. I bank wire B of A but the wire transfer process is very simple and can be done @ any branch. Takes about 15 minutes to complete. Would you like me to replace my bid? Thanks. Jeremiah (9/26/2008)
Response: If your figure's from September 5 will work for you, they'll work for me! I will accept your bid. You will have some wiggle room as far as loading/unloading depending on what I hear from Texas. We can work out any further details directly. Thank you again, Cliff (9/26/2008)
Response: OK. I placed the bid. Thanks. Jeremiah (9/26/2008)
