Questions for this shipment:

Question: if it can be wrapped packed by me.. and transported laying on its side/back. i will also offer my bid at 150.00 enclosed truck nothing will be place on top it will ride on top of a few LG antique piece going from HOUSTON over to DC/MD with them i can p/u anytime next 3-6days IAM IN HOUSTON 77090 NOW hope to be able help safer..EARL USA4LESS (6/28/2009)
Response: My brother in law will remove pendalum and weights. Would you blanket wrap this clock? I can pay cash on delivery. This needs to be shipped back down with nothing on top. I can accept this bid of $150 if you can pick up some time this week and deliver to my Flowery Branch address no late than July 10. Thanks for the bid Earl. (6/30/2009)
Response: so i can assume with the providers DATES not being compatible. Your still want/need the clock moved. IF that is the case pls call/EMAIL the MAKER/or/Clock restore/seller ask if THESE MODEL is OK to lay on back or side if wrapped-pack inside several layers of cardboard and blankets and shrink wrap. TOP--TO--BOTTOM (7/14/2009)
Response: The clock can only be shipped standing upright with the pendalum and weights removed. I have been told this. If it is shipped any other way then the internal gears can be damaged from shipping. (7/14/2009)
Question: back down?? why would you do that, that will throw off all the timing mechanisms un less you are taking all internal parts out, not just weights and pendulum, please explain (7/3/2009)
Response: Why have you ask me this question? You haven't even bid on my shipment. Besides, talking to clock makers it is required to remove the pendulum before shipping. You want to make a bid, lets see it. (7/4/2009)
Response: I know that the weights and pendulum have to be removed, I am talking about the face of the clock, regardless i have been shipping grandfather clocks for 12years, now, my main concern is making sure the clock arrives safely thats why the questions, yes i will bid on the shipment but i dont agree with shipment the clock on its back, i believe in shipping the clock standing up and securely fasten to the wall, if you can agree with that i will place my bid, thanks, Brian, bgsdelivery, we do have a picture of how we wrap our clocks for shipping, on profile (7/4/2009)
Response: Thankyou for the info. Shipping the clock standing up and fastened to the wall is fine. I was not aware that laying it on its back would hurt. All I want also is a safe delivery/on time pickup and delivery dates/ and everything gets here in one piece. I felled to memtion a great price. (7/4/2009)
Question: I have shipped clocks before and you do not want to ship this on its back. It needs to be shipped standing up. Yes, the pent. and weights need to be removed but if you lay it on its back you can throw other internal parts out of wack or even out of place. Just trying to help. Ship it up-right and secured against a wall or another piece. Best of luck. (7/4/2009)
Response: Thanks for the info. I was not aware of this. (7/4/2009)
