Question: Hello Shipper. Open transport also includes towing behind a truck as well. Open Transport means you boat will be exposed to the elements such as wind rain ect ect. I think what your looking for is "Flatbed Open Transport" which would exclude tow behinds such as me. Say la vie. My tow behind price would be $2532. Flatbed is usually 1.25-1.75 or $3172-4441. Gives you a baseline should you later wish to consider tow behind service. Good shipping. Whiteline88 (7/19/2009)

Response: Thanks for the info. Yes I would prefer Flatbed Open Transport. The reason for this is that at speeds of approximately 50 mph or higher the trailer has a lot of sway. I only tow it locally to and from the marina. (7/20/2009)

Response: Shipper. That would make it very difficult to take across country. Good shipping. Thanks for your reply. Whiteline88 (7/20/2009)

Response: Thank You. Hopefully some one will bid on this. I have seen boats on trailers loaded on flatbeds and being transported. (7/20/2009)

Response: Absolutly, Flatbed transport is very common and bids will be plentiful. Thank you for your time. Good Shipping. Whiteline88 (8/3/2009)

Response: Most bids I received were for drive awy service. (8/4/2009)

Response: You should get some. Flatbed are common. Whiteline88 (8/4/2009)

Response: Thanks (8/5/2009)

Question: I can tow it for you and also take the sway out of it, if it is damaged are bent.Plase review my profile and feedback and you will see a 26 ft. sea ray with the blue srink wrap on it, it was the same way, after a adjustment to it, it was fine and I towed it from Philly to Tocoma, WA. Please let me know if interested in my service.... Thank you walbert52 (Wade) (7/24/2009)

Response: I feel there is nothing wrong with the trailer (not damaged or bent). I think the trailer is too long for my boat. Boat is forward as far as it can go. Rear roller is right at transom. I think it does not have enough tongue weight and that is why it sways. (7/26/2009)

Response: I think the axles have to be adjusted for your boat as` well they can be moved back or forward. Is the trailer was a factory trailer for that boat or bought later??? Thank you Wade (7/26/2009)

Response: The trailer was bought later. (7/27/2009)

Response: I thought so, the axles have to be adjusted and that will stop the sway if it was done right.... Thank you Wade (7/27/2009)

Response: My guess is that the axles would have to be adjusted toward the rear to increase tongue weight. is that correct? (7/28/2009)

Response: I think they would have to go back more, I have a boat shop near my hometown that's very good at what they do, I think the last boat I had them adjust the trailer was around 500. I could tow it there and have them do it if you like me to tow your boat home... thank you Wade (7/28/2009)

Response: Where are you located? If this was done what would be the price of the haul to Washington? (7/29/2009)

Response: I live in the Chicago area I'll take my time from the east coast to my hometown to have it done or if you have it done out east, I'd rather take care of it that why I'll know it was done right and feel safe for your boat and me.I'll send you a bid. Please reiew my profile and feedback, it will be in good hands....Thank you walbert52 (Wade) (7/29/2009)

Response: Thanks, I will watch for your bid. (7/29/2009)

Response: My bid is in under walbert52.... thank you (7/29/2009)

Response: Thank You (7/30/2009)

Response: Do you still need it towed???? thanks walbert52 (Wade) (8/12/2009)

Response: I am considering 2 parties who would put boat/trailer on their trailer. (8/12/2009)

Response: Good luck, it would just be a matter of having the axles moved then youe trailer would be good to go after serviced... Thanks again. wade (8/12/2009)

Response: Thank you (8/14/2009)

Question: shipper i will be in philly tues. i,d be interested hauling your boat and trailer give me a email. thanks dan, i,d load it weds. (7/25/2009)

Response: I am not ready to ship yet. Boat is still in the water. House sale in NJ is supposed to be completed August 31. That is why I put the ship date at the end of August. (7/26/2009)

Question: I can haul your boat and trailer on my trailer for $4000. Let me know if you are interested. Thanks. (7/27/2009)

Response: I am guessing that you have a flatbed trailer? (7/27/2009)

Response: I have a large boat trailer that I can place your boat and trailer on. I have included the price of having the boat lifted on and off in my bid. Thanks. (7/28/2009)

Response: Where are you located? Would I need to bring my boat and trailer to your location? (7/29/2009)

Response: I am out of South Florida. You would not need to bring the trailer anywhere. I would come get it from you and deliver it to you at your final destination. I would take my trailer to where I would have the boat lifted and then go back and get yours. The same procedure in reverse at the end of the trip. (7/29/2009)

Response: I am alittle confused on this response. Would the boat be in cradles on your trailer and then my trailer strapped separately on your trailer? (7/29/2009)

Response: Your trailer would be in a cradle and your boat would stay on its trailer. I simply pick your entire rig up and put it on my trailer. (7/29/2009)

Response: Thanks for clarifying this. (7/29/2009)

Question: Well looks like you finally sold your house so your just looking for a price to move your boat on someone else's trailer not taking your truck, trailer and boat?? (8/2/2009)

Response: I am looking for pricing on moving truck, boat and trailer. (8/4/2009)

Response: Well get you a price by the end of the day tommorrow for driving your truck hooked to your trailer with boat on it. Have to look up flights out of seattle coming back into Newark. as we talked about the last time you had this on we could get a ride to the airport or meet you somewhere near there. (8/5/2009)

Response: Okay (8/6/2009)

Response: Well I got the info on the flight figured in fuel hotel and meals and what I'd like to make for 5 days and my bid would be more than your one active bid and he's going to haul everything on his trailer go figure real desperate people out there. If you'd still like me to bid let me know sometimes you get what you pay for GOOD LUCK WITH YOUR SHIPMENT!!!!!!!! (8/10/2009)

Response: I really do not want my truck to tow the boat that far. Two reasons. First I do not want to put that wear and tear on a 10 year old truck. Second is that anything above 52 mph the trailer has a lot of sway. Since I only tow the boat two times a year, (to and from the marina) it is not a problem locally. (8/11/2009)

Response: No Problem the choice is yours and I can understand about the wear and tear on the truck but mot legal carriers have at least 1 picture of there equipment on uship I have 5 and many carriers have 6 or 8 when I see someone with a rating of 1 and no pictures of his equipment that's what troubles me the most. I would hate for you to commit to someone and he get half way across the country and breakdown or get stopped and impounded at a scale. Again good luck (8/11/2009)

Response: Thanks for the advice. (8/12/2009)

Question: WE CAN LOAD YOUR BOAT AND TRAILER ONTO OUR 51FT. SELF LOADING TRAILER IF THIS CAN WAIT TILL MID OR LATE SEPT. WE NEED NO HELP TO LOAD MOST FLATBEDS NEED A LIFT TO LOAD BOAT WE DO NOT SO THAT MEANS NO ONE NEEDS TO BE THERE FOR US TO LOAD AND UNLOAD AND WE ARE U.S.DOT/MC LEGAL PLEASE GO TO OUR NAME AND READ ALL FEEDBACK AND VIEW PICTURES CLICK ON THEM TO ENLARGE IF YOU HAVE A PICTURE OF YOUR BOAT AND TRAILER YOU SHOULD POST IT ON HERE. OUR PRICE TO LOAD IT SAFE-DOT/MC LEGAL-INSURED IS $3260. (8/12/2009)

Response: I have checked out your profile and pictures. This looks like a very good setup. When I saw the picture of the boat with the hardtop I then knew that mine would be okay also. Mine does not have a hardtop but I was not sure of the total height when it is on the trailer. The time frame works for me for the boat. I would need to have the truck in WA when I arrive there which will be Sept. 4 or 5. Do you need to post an official bid on the listing or can we communicate just through these messages. (8/12/2009)
