Questions for this shipment:

Question: if you can load on a flat bed trailer and off at the end location, we can move this for you for a pretty good price. Loading and unloading can be done by a wrecker with a rollback. We have a truck with a flat bed going west right now with a pontoon boat. let us know if we can help you transport this boat and trailer. (2/17/2007)
Response: Unloading will not be a problem as it is at a Marine Company. However, we are still trying to work out the "load" at the front end. The boat and trailer are in a storage facility. My father is ill and unable to assist. So, the question is how to get the boat, which is on a trailer, loaded onto the transporting vehicle. Can it be winched up onto the flatbed? (2/18/2007)
Question: I will have an open slot in the next 6 days and again in 2 weeks (2/18/2007)
Response: It's looking like sometime between March 30th and April 3rd, as I have to fly to California to make arrangements. Do these dates work for you? (2/21/2007)
Question: It can be loaded using a roll back wrecker. The front jack on the trailer may need to be fitted with a dolly so it can roll. Then trailer is pulled up on the rollback, the truck repositioned and the boat let off onto the flat bed trailer. The wrecker companies usually charge a service call fee for this. Depending on the area it can be as low as $50 and as high as $100. (2/19/2007)
Response: the boat is on its trailer and stored in a storage locker in La Grange. There is no extra equipment available at the loading site but the trailer does have a dolly wheel on its tongue. Dates for pickup are March 30-April 3rd or April 27th-May 3rd. (2/21/2007)
Question: Can your boat be transported on its trailer ? Good price if it can. (2/20/2007)
Response: Yes, it has a four-wheel trailer which it is currently resting on. The trailer is almost new and has not been used more than a few times. (2/21/2007)
Question: Can you be more specific on your time frame ? (2/21/2007)
Response: Currently dates look like March 30th-April 3rd or April 27th to May 3rd. (2/21/2007)
Question: near the end of march I am pulling a 5th wheel from Ca to Seattle. Any particular reason for those two windows / (2/21/2007)
Response: My need to fly to California and set it up. Other commitments limit me to those dates. (2/22/2007)
Question: Hi I am going to Dallas to pick up a boat. I will be going down through Montana and I am flexible with route. Is it possible to get the boat part way there? (2/21/2007)
Response: Unfortunately, no. I am looking for point to point delivery. (2/22/2007)
Question: your dates will work very well. Looking forward to working with you. (2/22/2007)
Response: I will let you know by end of february my final plan. thanks! (2/22/2007)
Question: I see. thank you (2/22/2007)
Question: Hi, I am interested in transporting your boat. I have been transporting boats for 30 years. When transporting boats there are often details that only a professional would recognize, I am that professional. My offer is to tow your boat on its trailer. I travel equipped to perform boat trailer repairs. I have a trailer that I can place your boat on, but it is statistically much safer to tow your boat on it’s own trailer, if you don’t lift it can’t fall. Check out my feedback, and profile. Thanks Brian themaxview. (2/22/2007)
Response: Thanks for your response. I am dealing with a father who is on dialysis and has limited time away from home. Because of that, plus business demands on my side, I need to hit a "window" when we can both be up at La Grange. I will fly in from Houston and he will drive up from the Bay Area. March 31st thru April 4th or April 28th thru May 2nd are the only days that work for us to onload. Can you do this? (2/26/2007)
Question: If the seller needs your boat out of there I can pick it up ( PULL IT ) to my home & store inside my garage. 24' x 50' (2/25/2007)
Response: Not sure what you are saying? I would like the boat picked up and then shipped to Texas, either during March 31st to April 4th or April 28th to May 3rd. Those are the dates I am up in California to handle the arrangements. Thanks! (2/25/2007)
Question: OK I see. It's just that I will be comming through Ca soon. I will keep an eye on your shipment. (2/25/2007)
Response: Thanks for your response. I am dealing with a father who is on dialysis and has limited time away from home. That is the reason, plus business demands on my side, that I need to hit a "window" when we can both be up at La Grange. I will fly in from Houston and we will drive up from the Bay Area. March 31st thru April 4th or April 28th thru May 2nd are the only days that work for us to onload. (2/26/2007)
Question: Thank you (2/26/2007)
Question: Yes I can do this and understand about the situation. We can work around your schedule. Thanks Brian the maxview (2/26/2007)
Response: Brian, I will extend first right of refusal to accept or reject bid. I do not have any flexibility on the dates for pickup. I will invest in airplane tickets and do not have a backup scenerio. If you can "GUARANTEE" pickup in La Grange, California between March 31st and April 3rd, I will accept your bid. Please...no excuses if accepted. Once I am out in California, I will only be there for a few days and then back to Texas. Please let me know. (3/1/2007)
Question: Hello ~ We are operating out of Paso Robles, CA. About 2 hours North of your pick up point. We tow boats out of Channel Harbor, Santa Barbara, San Diego to several states. Would be honored to transport your boat. Would be happy to handle arrangements in California for you to save you a trip...unless of course you want to visit your Daddy. Can prepare trailer, check placement, etc. Would place a formal bid of $1,200 should you be interested please reply. Thank you. ~ Dee (2/27/2007)
Response: I will still need to be there as I need to visit with my folks in addition to getting the boat moved. However, my dates of availability are limited. Could you arrange to pick the boat up between March 31st and April 4th...or...April 28th and May 2nd? I would like to pick a vendor within the next week... (2/28/2007)
Question: Good Morning ~ Either group of dates would be fine for us. You just need to let us know once you have confirmed. We can get to Oxnard within 24 hours notice. Thanks ~ (3/1/2007)
Response: Can you guarantee pickup within either of these date ranges (March 31-April 3rd) or (April 28th-May 2nd?) If so, I am interested. What do you offer for insurance while transporting? (3/3/2007)
Question: Good evening. I see your avsilablilty is limited but I wanted to throw this out there just in case this can fit in for you. I will be in the Los Angeles area on or about the 11/12 of March thn heading west. If this works for you, I will meet your "Book it" price. Cash on delivery please. Thank you, Steve (3/1/2007)
Response: Sorry, this doesn't work. My dates are locked in. Thanks! (3/1/2007)
Question: I have given this some careful consideration. You offered me first right of refusal to accept or reject bid based on your dates. I am afraid that anyone (myself included) offering a bargain price will have the potential to have conflicts, and may get tied up or detained. If someone is to put all else aside it needs to be worth while. I can offer my service to transport your boat, and be there waiting on you on a specific date for $2200. This is the exact service you requested, with a date written in stone, at the price I would need to make it happen. I will rebid the new amount, and if you accept my bid, I will be there guaranteed. If I can pickup the boat without you there, my fee will be $1200. Thanks Brian. (themaxview) (3/3/2007)
Response: Brian, Thanks for your response but I have other bidders who are willing to meet me within the date ranges specified. I have details that need to be worked from this end that require coordination of dates. (3/3/2007)
Question: I understand, and you have to remember. The sweetness of a low price is forgotten long before the bitterness of a good priced deal gone bad. Most of the time you simply get what you pay for. I certainly hope you get a deal that works for you. I have seen so many of these type deals go bad, when life throws it little curves at us. Good luck and thanks. (3/3/2007)
Response: Yes, but my bid has always been for those dates. To go from $1,200 to $2,200 is not reasonable...just to meet my dates. Let me know if you change your mind and availability. (3/3/2007)
Question: If you understood the shipping industry better you would better understand my point. How many times in life have you waited on someone to show up at a specific time, and they did not. Kinda of sobering when you look at it that way. I was just offering extra dedication to travel 1500 miles from my base empty and be there. I think it is worth $1000 to get in my truck empty and travel 1500 miles to meet you. Low priced shipping is all based on having a load traveling in both directions, if one load has a schedule change then the connecting load (you)gets canceled. If someone is booking your load hoping to book another load that works with yours, and they can’t find one; your load will not get picked up. I am just trying to make you aware of what you are dealing with. Once again good luck, I hope you get what you are looking for. (3/3/2007)
Response: Thank you! Your points are well taken. I wish you had a load going in both directions. (3/3/2007)
Question: SHIPPER WE CAN DO THIS IN THE TIME YOU HAVE CHOSE FOR APRIL AND MAY. OUR COST TO YOU WOULD BE $1600. NEED TO KNOW ASAP TO SECURE PICKUP........THANKS BOATMAN (3/3/2007)
Response: Your profile looks solid. Please submit a bid so I can respond. I am interested in your service but your price is a little high. Can you get it down into the $1,400-$1,5000 range? (3/3/2007)
Question: SHIPPER WE REQUIRE NO MONEY DOWN. YOU PAY WHEN YOU RECIEVE YOUR BOAT....... THANKS BOATMAN (3/4/2007)
Question: Good Morning Sir ~ I am sorry you have had to wait for my response. I am only checking my laptop once a day. I am transporting a Kingfisher from CA into WA. Either block of time that you require transport would be guarenteed, once our bid is accepted. I would appreciate knowing what would be most convienent block of time for you so I can actually schedule your shipment. I can "Book It Now" but want to give you the option of picking your Driver. I do have insurance. I image there is also insurance on the boat. Should you feel that there is not enough coverage uShip also offers insurance while in transport. Willing to help anyway I can. Should I be acceptable to you I will place our formal bid and we will be able to contact each other to firm up all details and relieve some stress for you. Our best wishes for your Daddy. ~ R.G. & Dee (3/4/2007)
Response: Please place formal bid for pickup during March 31st thru April 3rd dates. Once done, I can accept your bid. I have backup bids in place if you decide you cannot meet the dates. Thank you... (3/5/2007)
Question: I am working on possible P/U that will allow me to load onto boat transport trl from ground..If not gone yet. Will know monday...if this is still availiable and tommorrow works out I'll contact you,if not let me know...tduncan55(ThomasDuncanTrucking) (3/4/2007)
Question: Are you still available ?tduncan55 (3/5/2007)
Response: Yes, March 31st through April 3rd only for pickup in La Grange. You must make a bid if interested. Currently entertaining three bids. (3/5/2007)
